Everyone keeps referencing the laser my tits scene as evidence that Homelander's lasers aren't as powerful as his son's. But what about when he was heating up the plastic bottle of breastmilk? Why didn't that just disintegrate? Homelander definitely has the ability to control his laser strength, not going 100% every time. But I do agree that the son has the potential to be the most powerful someday, being the first natural born supe.

The director said that Soldier Boy will be much more powerful than his comic counterpart so I would rank him strengthwise like Queen Maeve, also Eric Kripke said that he won't be the easily swayed and manipulated coward that he is in the comic, but a far more dangerous man, Eric Kripke has described him as "the Homelander before Homelander". And now that the show is out, we can see that Soldier Boy is either the second most powerful supe or the most powerful.
Now that season 3 is out, it’s pretty much confirmed soldier boy was the original homelander. He is definitely atleast on stormfronts level if not above
After season 3, soldier boy should be higher since he is extremely durable and can also turn supes into regular people. The only major downside of this ability is that it takes some time to charge up.

When they first met in the "she battle," I was like, "Oh, it'll be like Thor hitting Iron Man with lightning ... she'll just turn it into a power blast." But nope, it just flicked her off her feet. I like to think of ryan and homelander as venomous snakes in terms if their heat vision power level. Just like baby snakes are more dangers to humans because they let out all their venom in one uncontrolled bite, ryan has more powerful heat vision because he has no control over it. Whereas homelander can clearly control the power of his heat vision.

Obviously now that the new season is out, you can see black noir is a black man and we saw when maeve fed him the peanuts he was black, so it’s very very unlikely that he is a clone, however. He could have near enough the same powers (minus a few) and a heightened skill set

Either way it should be a great season. Anthony starr came out and said that as homelander he’s never rly had to do any fight choreography before and he’s had to do a lot this season. Since we didn't see her death scene, I'm not entirely convinced Stormfront is dead (kind of like they did with Rebecaa Butcher). I think it was a ploy by Vought specifically Stan Edgar. That leaves the question of why and I think I have an answer for that; to manipulate Homelander. Whether it was to enhance his image by making him act out of character before a speech they planned, which is what happened, or an attempt to hurt the image that backfired remains to be seen.
If butcher gets anywhere near as strong as homelander. Homelander is in serious trouble. Think about it. Homelander's never broken a sweat in his life whereas butcher is a proper brawler. I think a suped up butcher versus black noir would be more fun to watch.

Starlight is also not one to fight to kill. Remember, she is actually a good person and a hero and was not one to fight like that. A-Train was angry but also not really fighting to kill but to stop her and prove himself. So both where holding back and to be fair A-train should be no where near LIGHT-Speed given his race feat took him juicing got him up to 829 mph. That was him taking V to beat out Shockwave who got 765 mph without juicing. Light is well much much faster.

Not really a honest comparison between Homelanders laser and Ryans laser. When Homelander shot his laser on Stormfront he didn't want to kill her. He did it as foreplay like some people do with candle wax. If he wanted to kill her he definitely could and it would be worse than what Ryan did to her.

@@julianclift981 gonna have to disagree with you on that one, they both took Homelander's beam to the chest like it was quite literally nothing...only difference is his beam towards Maeve more than likely had killing intent while his beam towards Stormfront was a kink beam. Stormfront and Maeve also fought hand to hand for a bit and if I recall Stormfront didn't get a single good hit in while Maeve wiped the floor with her. Based off what we saw in the last couple seasons, I don't think Stormfront would put up nearly as good of a fight against Homelander as Maeve did. It almost seemed like Maeve was gonna best Homelander for a second in the season 3 finale. Though he probably would've won if the fight had gone on much longer...

We saw SB vs Homelander and it showed that Homie is stronger than him and butcher. It took 3 of them to pin him down. Even then he broke free. I do think that SB is 2nd as of now tho.

Obviously "The Boys" has diverted from the graphic novel ... at least to some degree. Noir's disappearance in S3 is intriguing. Is he the ultimate answer to stopping Homelander? Or will the series reveal some other "clones" of Homelander who are the "fail safe?" Edgar seemed confident. He's got to have something up his sleeve. Love this show.

I think Ryan would be #1 not only from being the first natural born supe but because he appears to have all of homelanders powers. If he went into training to control those power he would be on a whole different level and possibly be stronger if not for the issue that he seems to not want to hurt anyone which could have Homelander taking advantage of.

I think for her to hit someone at a range they go white (more focus on the power) but at closer range (like the courtroom) she doesn't need to exert so much focus on it and so can do the pop one after another. Especially if their humans and not enhanced.

This is very inaccurate compared to the show lol Black Noir has been clearly shown to be way below Homelander at this point and it doesn’t seem like they’re going down the twist route which further points to that disparity.

Black Noir's character is already someone else. In fact, something seems off about his past character, so I'm wondering if there's more story later to this as he doesn't seem as tough then as he does now.
As you can see his brain was exposed and even harmed during the flashback. We also see him coloring during a meeting showing he kinda has a childlike mentality. He's basically a super assassin with little thoughts outside of doing what he is told

If in right environment could he placed higher.
My biggest problem with the show is that while power disparity drives the entire plot, nobody directly discusses those actual powers. Even the guys obsessed with killing supes almost never bring up their powers? WTF? Even the general population would be far more obsessed than that than empty celebrity worship the show constantly dwells on.
Homelander is probably a 100 tonner, Ryan is possibly in the 200 ton range Soldier Boy (now) is prob. 50 tons or smth., like Queen Maeve Black Noir likely became stronger through the trauma inflicted by SB So far those are my estimates.

But what about when he was heating up the plastic bottle of breastmilk? Why didn't that just disintegrate? Homelander definitely has the ability to control his laser strength, not going 100% every time. But I do agree that the son has the potential to be the most powerful someday, being the first natural born supe.

I just rewatched it, he says it'll cut her in half, and does the laser for just a second. Then she calls him a pussy to get him to do it again. He looked surprised it didn't kill her at first. The director said that Soldier Boy will be much more powerful than his comic counterpart so I would rank him strengthwise like Queen Maeve, also Eric Kripke said that he won't be the easily swayed and manipulated coward that he is in the comic, but a far more dangerous man, Eric Kripke has described him as "the Homelander before Homelander". And now that the show is out, we can see that Soldier Boy is either the second most powerful supe or the most powerful.

I like to think of ryan and homelander as venomous snakes in terms if their heat vision power level. Just like baby snakes are more dangers to humans because they let out all their venom in one uncontrolled bite, ryan has more powerful heat vision because he has no control over it. Whereas homelander can clearly control the power of his heat vision.

Either way it should be a great season. Anthony starr came out and said that as homelander he’s never rly had to do any fight choreography before and he’s had to do a lot this season. @@Oscar01-21 I agree that Black Noir is probably a safety net, but disagree with one thing. Since we didn't see her death scene, I'm not entirely convinced Stormfront is dead (kind of like they did with Rebecaa Butcher). I think it was a ploy by Vought specifically Stan Edgar.
That leaves the question of why and I think I have an answer for that; to manipulate Homelander. Whether it was to enhance his image by making him act out of character before a speech they planned, which is what happened, or an attempt to hurt the image that backfired remains to be seen.
If butcher gets anywhere near as strong as homelander. Homelander is in serious trouble. Think about it. Homelander's never broken a sweat in his life whereas butcher is a proper brawler. I think a suped up butcher versus black noir would be more fun to watch.

Starlight is also not one to fight to kill. Remember, she is actually a good person and a hero and was not one to fight like that. A-Train was angry but also not really fighting to kill but to stop her and prove himself. So both where holding back and to be fair A-train should be no where near LIGHT-Speed given his race feat took him juicing got him up to 829 mph. That was him taking V to beat out Shockwave who got 765 mph without juicing. Light is well much much faster.

Not really a honest comparison between Homelanders laser and Ryans laser. When Homelander shot his laser on Stormfront he didn't want to kill her. He did it as foreplay like some people do with candle wax. If he wanted to kill her he definitely could and it would be worse than what Ryan did to her.

Stormfront and Maeve also fought hand to hand for a bit and if I recall Stormfront didn't get a single good hit in while Maeve wiped the floor with her.
Based off what we saw in the last couple seasons, I don't think Stormfront would put up nearly as good of a fight against Homelander as Maeve did. It almost seemed like Maeve was gonna best Homelander for a second in the season 3 finale. Though he probably would've won if the fight had gone on much longer...

Obviously "The Boys" has diverted from the graphic novel ... at least to some degree. Noir's disappearance in S3 is intriguing. Is he the ultimate answer to stopping Homelander? Or will the series reveal some other "clones" of Homelander who are the "fail safe?" Edgar seemed confident. He's got to have something up his sleeve. Love this show.

Black Noir's character is already someone else. In fact, something seems off about his past character, so I'm wondering if there's more story later to this as he doesn't seem as tough then as he does now.
As you can see his brain was exposed and even harmed during the flashback. We also see him coloring during a meeting showing he kinda has a childlike mentality. He's basically a super assassin with little thoughts outside of doing what he is told

My biggest problem with the show is that while power disparity drives the entire plot, nobody directly discusses those actual powers. Even the guys obsessed with killing supes almost never bring up their powers? WTF? Even the general population would be far more obsessed than that than empty celebrity worship the show constantly dwells on.
In a world where movies and shows are dc and marvel , I find it refreshing where “the boys” don’t discuss power levels or anything like that.
