When untightening those bolts if it moves a little tighten and loosen tighten and loosen with loads of penetrating oil as you go. Not saying it still won't snap. But worth trying. Nothing worse than halfway and things go wrong and you need a car to get the part you just broke.

Done mine recently not hating but you don't need to remove the top cylinder bit more fiddling about getting it back in but is totally do able and you don't risk snapping the bolts
