- After having success on the last afternoon duck hunt, we figured we'd try duck hunting another pond for the evening high tide flight. We hiked over a mile to reach the marsh but when we finally made it we were greeted by large flocks of mallards, pintails, and teal. We put together a little hide and waiting for the birds to push in from feeding out on the salt water. The action got hot and heavy for a little bit and was interrupted a couple visits from the taxman of Alaska duck hunting. Hope you enjoy!

I duck hunted Kodiak Island years ago. The shotgun was like a dinner bell to the eagles. They got 4 of ours. Lol
She has come a long way in the last few weeks. Been enjoying the Alaska content.
Thanks Cody! I appreciate you watching!
"Taxman!" I love it. I can't say I have seen that before. Love what you are doing. Keep it up!
It was a first for me! Pretty cool but hopefully won't lose any more birds to them in the future!
Hunting Reelfoot lake in Tennessee you will see bald eagles in the top of the cypress trees all over. They are pretty quick to retrieve your bird if you don't get it fast enough. Then proceed back to the tree top and obliterate it.
It seems like your along ways from the birds ?
In Wisconsin we have laws that require you to immediately retrieve the bird you harvested. I think you need to apply this everywhere to prevent this 😂😂😂
You mean killed. Once you take posession, then you harvested.
@@Brian-dh9lpI don’t use the k word as it’s a good way to get blocked
Great video as always and a nice trained dog.
Thanks Nasser, much appreciated!
best thing on this vid is the dog! LOVE IT!!!
Man y’all need to get some low profile lay out blinds!!
That’s a Badass dog right there.
I love when he misses it makes me feel better
Haha glad I could help!
You are a credit to the hunters everywhere
Hell yeah brother
Keep it up man!! Managed my first ever gadwall today!
Nice hunting adventure 😍👏👏
Wassup Thomas. Awesome hunt. I always wanted to hunt ducks in Alaska. Your dog is coming along great. Thanks for sharing.
Glad a girl Rue. Stay sharp on those commands bro
That is pretty darn neat to have a Bald Eagle swipe your duck! Finally cooling down here in northeastern SD. Went out this morning, shot a couple redheads, but there are a lot of ducks around. I believe the nesting/brood rearing conditions were about ideal, in this area anyway.
I had a snowy owl do this to me near Cleveland Ohio on Lake Erie
Never had an eagle get my birds but I have had a marsh hawk eat half a breast from one downed bird!
What kind of bird did it get?
Eagles said free lunch don't mind if I do
It definitely took full advantage of the opportunity provided
Dog has drive💪
Hunting northwest Washington coast, eagles are everywhere. This happens to us a few times per season if we can't retrieve them quickly enough.
Morning
i was hunting in south Carolina in the river and i had a owl swoop down grabbed my woodie that drifted down the creek a little bit taxman will get everyone eventually
We get very few wood ducks in utah, and its my dream bird. I'd be fighting an owl
I like this sports😊😃
Let’s gooo
Is it just me or do you seem to shoot like 6’ behind a lot of birds?
About seven years ago when I was living in Florida, our group got double taxed by an eagle and a gator.
federal and state tax 😁😄😆
I've had red tail hawks and bald eagles steal my ducks on a couple occasions.
What kinds of ducks did they steal from you? Seems like the eagles really go for the teal up here
I'm surprised you shoot ducks on the water. Here in the UK it is considered unethical and really frowned upon. It's like shooting a pheasant holding in cover.
So, why not have the dog go retrieve the bird after it was shot? More working in etc?? Just curious as to why the dog wasn’t sent immediately. Great videos man, keep the content pumping!!
I have had California geese (seagulls) and an eagle steal my birds.
First
What part of alaska is that?
I was in the south central part of the state
I have heard so many good things about waterfowl hunting in those bays just like you did.. looks amazing..love seeing ROOOOOO
You miss so much because you take 85 yard shots at birds
