- The Pittsburgh Penguins took on the New Jersey Devils Tuesday night at the Prudential Center. Both teams came out with a purpose. The 1st period had a combined 26 shots between the two clubs. Only 1 of those shots went into the net. Dawson Mercer scored the lone goal for the Devils. The Penguins were able to even the score early in the 2nd on a shot from Marcus Pettersson. Rakell on the forecheck won the puck back, passing it to Michael Bunting below the goal line. Bunting gives a backward backhand pass through his legs to the point where Pettersson one-timed it in the net. Pettersson now has a career-high of 26 points this season. New Jersey on the power play, late in the 2nd period, scored their second of the night by Timo Meier. The Devils opened up the game in the third. Alexander Holtz scored and Mercer and Meier scored their second goal of the night, giving New Jersey five goals. Bryan Rust scored a second goal late in the 3rd but there was not enough time to complete a comeback. The Devils won 5-2.

this team has zero chemistry. they dont seem like a tight knit group whatsoever. the only thing im rooting for at this point is Sid getting atleast 13 points over the last 14 games to keep his ppg streak alive.
The ONLY thing? I've followed the Pens since 88 and I don't know what to root for today
I'm rooting that Crosby resigns at the end of the season after we get a top ten pick 😅
Please tell me why we're labouring under the complacency of employing Sullivan for how many years?
Please tell me why we're laboring under the complacency of employing Jarry for how many years?
^^^Corrected for accuracy.
I agree 100% get rid of Sullivan
As I said, this team won't make the playoffs and they're not consistent.
Yeah
I hate seeing the scoresheet over these past dozen games where the Pens have TONS of shots, but very few goals. Nobody is able to finish. The defense looks lost out there as well.
Not a lot of high quality shots though
Because they’re cooked bums who can’t finish lmaoo
@@chinmayhejmadi7902 the Penguins during Mario and in the Crosby Era have had their share of goals go in shot behind the goal line.
I'm not sure those were quality chances?
@@jonathanmol4489 ? That's what I'm saying too. Not high quality shots.
Can anyone tell me why is Sullivan still coaching? He should have been gone 30 games ago.
no surprise, another loss
keep up the aimless skating around while missing everything Karlsson. Fantastic work
yea i noticed that, he must be learning from Letang
Graves was exposed again. Nice giving the Devils a power play again and again. Devil's defense collapse around the net to keep the puck out. Penguins defense....can't find them on a milk carton. 😢
That was one of the few players I thought might work out OK from recent trades. Boy, was I wrong.
@@c.9914 no worries. Remember Kovalev # 27, he was magic but he played in an alternative universe. He would make plays and stick handle like he was in a phone booth and the next game he would play like a brick.
I'm not making this up.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, of course Guentzel is doing well.
Drew O connor! Really?
Selfish hockey. When the message is "nobody is off the trading block," everyone plays for their trade value, not for their team. Dubas' data-based decision making would work much better in a factory that makes inanimate things for sale, not with teams that employ humans.
They tried real hard, to get that first draft pick
"Dangles around Karlsson..."
Also Karlsson passing directly to other team instead of his clearly open n uncovered partner
Karlsson & Graves 😮💨
Here’s an idea: Karlsson is not a winner. Dump him
No
This whole team needs a clean out. 5-2 another rubbish performance.
They give our goalies no help whatsoever
Jarry is swiss cheese. 5 goals allowed and 5 times crossbar that could have been goals. Pens need to move on from him next season.
And that will be? will win the Stanley Cup with the same team, but with a different goalie???
Graves is absolutely terrible
In the game and run out of gas. This should say we to old
As soon as looking the title, I knew we lost again 😶
Let's hope the pens get a top 10 pick
Karlsson is an absolute bum. I've never seen a worse defenseman. He's a liability in the defensive zone. Absolute bust.
I mean Karlssons had a good season lol
So you won right? You did win?
Jarry is a hot mess.
He's such a mixed bag. Worldie saves, softies, tracking, not tracking, good angles, good reflexes but bad reads, I cant really say what he is
Been saying that for years. His fanatics keep thinking he is the best thing since Patrick Roy.
@@wolfmaulerIt's simple. He's human and humans have lives outside hockey, which makes goalies the most likely candidate for inconsistency. Staying up 3 hours late to play Fortnite is fine if you're a winger like Laine, but it can make a goalie look like a turnstile. Not saying Jarry is doing that, but lack of sleep is the most common reason for poor goalie performances
He’s cooked, just like your franchise
Do you guys just not watch the games? Lol
