You can use burning and then melt every shot with ganyu. It's a really good way to consistently melt with her

Surprisingly actually this would be a good bow for dps Faruzan! And shes honestly the only other dps bow option that can perform very well in mono comps. Not the best I dont think but would definitely be a good 5star option.
Faruzans primary role is a support obviously, but she makes a fantastic and really fun dps, especially at c6 when energy stops being a concern, who can support herself within her own kit.
If you opt for Venti + another off-field Anemo like DPS Kazuha or Lynette etc. she could actually be a good onfielder. She does have decent personal damage, her buffed charge time isn't that long and it lasts for 2-4 shots since the buffed state lasts longer than her skill CD. She also has AoE, self buffing, buffs for sub Anemo DPSs, a personal grouping on top of the grouping most Anemo characters can provide as well.

Faruzan probably one 4* who can solo abyss 12,ppl just sleeping on how good c6 faruzan is
C6 Faruzan is made NOT to boost her supportive capability but it's made for her to become a strong DPS. Who needs a support when she herself can just support herself to annihilate every enemy?
If you have her C6, you can 100 % build her crit. I build her 2p 2p with my xiao, I don't really care for the 20 % atk since she's so convenient as a dps It's insane. Her off field CA's do decent dmg off field with or without bennet buff oh and her dmg on cast is actually insane. lvl 13 crowned is a whoopin 800 % scaling on CAST. That's very much slept on, without benny buff or any buffs at C6 you can easily make her deal 50k or more on cast.
Tip for Tighnari: What sands you use on him really is dependent on his bow. Hunters Path wants an EM sands due to its passive that converts a percentage of his EM to charged attack damage. If you are running other bows like The First Great Magic, he'll perform better with an Attack sands (as long as it as as good sub stats and you can still maintain 200-300 em with substats). The build tested here was a bit over caped on EM for TFGM.
That's good to know but idk how I'll get that much em while running no em main stat artifacts cus the line up will be Atk, Dendro damage and crit

@@jittu_1462 if paired with nahida: her burst gives ALOT. if not paired with nahida but a second dendro: dendro resonance. 4pc wanderers troupe give 80 EM setbonus. and getting around 100EM on substats on all 5 artifact peices (considering atk sands) is also not unrealistic. 4 piece gilded dreams gives even more em than wanderers (tho im not sure what technically better on him, i use wanderers bc i already had it when he released)
This bow gives a lot of atk itself tho, wouldn't it be better to use EM sands to balance it? Since he needs quite a chunk of EM
You could go 4GD instead of 4WT to get pretty much all of his EM needs. Also, of course, Nahida.

Amber also works with the Magic Bow oddly enough. Meaning if you had Two Magic Bow's one on Lyney and one on Amber both being the same Pyro element wouldn't that mean the skill would always be active ?
I feel like Elegy might be better to help buff Lyney, but if you're using Amber as a Sub DPS/C6 buffer, they would technically play off eachother.
But sub DPS Amber is usually c2-c4 so I'm not sure if self detonating Baron bunnies would overall hurt the rotation or team damage since it might just be better to be on Lyney, unless you're using Amber as a quick swapper for her burst with a noblesse build, and baron bunny as a taunt/particles

Something that is not mentioned much is the movement speed the bow gives. I have it on my Ganyu with 2 Anemo + Deyha during day / Rosaria during night, and she's a speed demon. If I had Yelan, she'd be even faster. It is seriously a lot of fun in the overworld especially as I am catching up with the desert exploration.

its just a minor thing, but tighnari and baizhu together activate dendro resonance which gives EM to the team and therefor TECHNICALLY boosts hunters path a tiny bit

for Hunter path you need to do the major reaction (melt for Ganyu and spread with electro applied for Tighnari)
The bow looks really cool
My take is that this bow would do very well on Ganyu for freeze teams versus R1 Amos. You will get more crit damage as well as running at least two cryo, so you will have the attack buff and charge attack bonus. And you don't need crit rate on artifacts at all because of the freeze artifact set, party bonus for dual cryo, and also the bonus from her kit to crit rate on her lvl 2 charge attacks
I think Tighnari with Nahida and Baizhu would be good with this. With this super Dendro Spread team I find Raden the most convenient Electro support just for her long E duration.
What do you think about Fischel? I’m currently building Raiden but Fischel seems fun
@@didierrodriguez8778fischl works pretty well too, i use her, yaoyao and nahida together with tighnari and the output is pretty good, i do think raiden has better electro application but if you want to use her in another team fischl will work great as a substitute
@@didierrodriguez8778 Fischl is good specially in single target scenario and she deals way more damage than Raiden E. I mainly use Raiden for this team cause it's just so much easier. No need repositioning and stuff just one button plus she had a bit of AOE compared to Fischl.
*(TL;DR = The First Great Magic (TFGM) is Stronks!)*
Since you didn't have an R1 Amos to test, I will come in to share my experience. (I've also used Genshin Optimizer with the same minimum requirements for both Bows to see what would be the MOST OPTIMAL builds I could use with each weapon. I've also tried simply swapping the Bows while keeping the same Builds.)
The First Great Magic (TFGM) vs Amos:
In my testing, I was surprised to witness TFGM actually coming out on top compared to Amos R1 *Most of the time.*
I've tried *without Team Buffs,* as well as *with Team Buffs.*
I've tried *Freeze / Melt / Mono Cryo.*
I've tried *with Shenhe Quills* too, and TFGM came out on top. This is no surprise, becuase Shenhe's Quills are a Flat increase which can Crit.. so TFGM having this Massive Crit Dmg% Bonus over the Amos makes Shenhe's Quills have a higher damage ceiling and thus are *more potent with higher CritDmg%.*
-Overall, some tests came quite close between the two.
-I have experienced only *One scenario* where the *Amos was stronger:* when *Solo Ganyu* and no team buffs whatsoever. The damage from Amos in this scenario was a bit stronger than TFGM by *~300* (which is barely anything at all lol)
-As soon as I started adding different Buffs like *Kazuha, Bennett, Shenhe,* or a combination of these, TFGM started pulling ahead. It did so by a *bigger margin* than the one Scenario where Amos was on top.
It took me so long to get a 5* weapon for my Ganyu, which was the Amos. It would have been nice it each character's BiS could actually remain their BiS weapons, but sadly, newer weapons seem to be getting stronger and stronger.
*Before TFGM:*
-Amos was already outclassed in Melt Teams by: *Acqua / Hunter'sPath.*
-Amos was already outclassed in Freeze Teams (quickswap) by: *Acqua / PolarStar / ThunderingPulse / MoonR5 / PrototypeR5 / SkyHarp*
-Amos was already outclassed in Mono-Cryo Teams by: *Acqua / PolarStar / ThunderingPulse / MoonR5 / PrototypeR5 / SkyHarp / Hunter'sPath*
I think the only weapon that was stronger than Amos in all scenarios (with full Team Buffs) was Acqua Simulacra.
And now that TFGM performs even better than Acqua in all those scenarios (mainly because of the better Passives and Higher Base Atk), I think it's safe to say that:
*The First Great Magic has now become Ganyu's overall Best In Slot*
(Smol Caveat to keep in mind: These were the results for my account with the Artifacts I had. The results may be a bit different for other people depending on their own builds/artifacts. Still, TFGM has proven to be a great weapon for Ganyu, and very good in all types of teams.
If you already have a 5* Bow on your Ganyu like Amos / Acqua / PolarStar / even SkyHarp, you dont really need to pull for TFGM.
But,
If you really love your Ganyu, and you don't have any 5* Weapon for her yet, *This Current Weapon banner is probably the Best it's ever gonna be for you.*
Both of these Bows (TFGM / Acqua) outperform the Amos in all of Ganyu's Teams.

Tyvm, i got AS for Ganyu and Yelan last time but i got TFGM instead of the new polearm this time and am so happy since ive been using Ganyu in mono cryo moreso than Burnmelt lately. Also i totally understand the BIS weapon situation for Ganyu has been worse than other characters. Especially bows in general as Childe had a new BIS back to back when Polar star and TP i think? released. Other characters had a more tailor made weapon that has a unique effect that cant really be powercrept along with better base stats
Thanks for this input, i was on the fence pulling for the arleq weapon because if i loose the bow would be useless, but u guess since ganyu is probably my favourite char, this is a no brainer pull for me, also i already have amos bow and aqua which i used with yelan
Pulled one when it dropped for Tighnari, maxed it yesterday. Christ almighty it's so much better than the Windblume Ode I had to use on him until now. Looks incredible too.
I got the first great magic and used it on melt teams with no additional cryo characters, she was hitting 115k melt on the second hit form her frost arrow. When I used Nahida burn melt w Nahida’ ult to further boost EM, the second hit was melting for 146k :) I’ve never gotten close to these numbers w/ 4 star weapons.
I think that you should trie melt with all bows because normally in freeze ganyu you dont use charge atacks
I got this for Ganyu, sure it would work on her. Thankfully, it does and looks gorgeous too.

im disappointed you didnt check ganyu's movement speed on max stacks, because i actually really miss the 10% ms prototype crescent used to give me before i swapped over to aqua

Been running r4 great magic on my c6 ganyu on a freeze squad and it slaaaappps. Set up being Ganyu Layla xingqiu/koko and ayaka for that 30% def decrease from her c4 and it’s been awesome the damage is crazy
melt ganyu would perform better if you, well, melt. thats why hunters path is good because it lets you double dip into EM.
also, weapon performance and rankings can change depending on team buffs
hunters path is good but u just didnt use it correctly. its made for elemental reactions, so in this case, u shud also allow the 383em melt into the calc and test the other bow in melt too
for reference on Aloy; its not good for her, but yes she can be a DPS; her main teams being Freeze, phys and my personal favourite, Melt, with her burst acting like a nuke and when used with Kazuha, its easy to gain her stacks
You could do a tighnari team with 3 dendro (counting himself) and one fischl. I would level 90 the fischl in that case, though, and make sure she is C6 with a good artifact set.

Amos bow also hits very hard if u had more stats than 52 :140 ratio.
U build ganyu with 57:210 ratio and she will hit hard.
Yeah but if you had that build it would be like a 57:276 build with first great magic which would probably show the same damage difference as here
For hunters path you want to run ganyu on EM sands to buff hunters path with Bennett as a support so it fixes her low attack. If you are running melt ganyu stats and build (like 400 em). It will for sure be lower damage than a freeze build when you are testing reactionless damage with first great magic or Amos bow as they don’t scale off EM and reactions
TLDR; hunters path will be better in a melt team when you build her EM and use Bennett for melt charged shots
I have always had the best luck when I’m going for the bonus’s at the crafter when i only craft a few at a time instead of all of them at once
Im going for Yelan's bow for Ganyu burnmelt and freeze instead of Lyney bow, it helps I have Yelan but i don't imagine it would work as comfortably as fav bow on her. I also think it suits Ganyu's color palette

@@dominustempus8969 If you go Aqua for Yelan, you definitely need ER sands. Overall still have higher dps potential with aqua due to tons of cdmg, HP% passive, and bonus damage passive. Agree though that Fav Bow is easier to build around due to the extra particles.
@@boompewpewboom I was in the emblem domain for a long time for Yelan and luckily I have 150 ER with Aqua which probably isn't the best but I almost always have her burst on time so I use an HP sands. It's insane how different her damage is compared to having the Fav Bow. All depends on your sub stats! But I definitely agree that Fav Bow can be more comfy for many players. EDIT: I do have c1 though so yea, you're probably right.

Tighnari / Yae / Nahida / Baizhu doesn't seem like a weird or weak comp to me. So without Hunter's Path that could be nice, even though attack is not as valuable on Tigh, but it's more consistent than ICD.

The FGM is an amazing bow on Sara Kujou in Hypercarry Raiden team, you get the ATK% bonus from having 2 electro units on that team, and when fully invested in her she hits an upward of 200k on her initial burst damage.
Using the EM Ganyu build without elemental reactions haha 😂

I was going for aqua just now but got this bow instead even though I'm not pulling for lyney. I'm not upset at all. I don't mind getting any of those two because I'm f2p and needed a 5 star crit bow so any if fine. The fact I didn't lost to a random standard weapon is good enough. Idc if it's not the best bow for my characters. They WILL share it 😂 I will collect only one crit weapon for each type and I only dare to pull for this banner because it's a win-win situation.
Also I heard it's good for amber so yay I guess lol
The reason Hunter's Path performed so poorly on Ganyu is cuz its a reaction based bow. If you were melting her charged shots whil her attack was buffed with Bennet, it would've done way more damage than what was shown. Though im not sure if it would've done more than first great magic or Amos bow
Lyney bow in beta test have first passive is 12% ATK instead of 16% CA, then they changed it first passive to make it only good for Lyney. I had it but it seem kind of meh when it is used by other characters. The only good thing is the CD in sub stat, so you can easily balance your CR/CD. Most of bow chars damage come from reaction, except for Lyney.
Well my c0 R1 Ganyu on wanderer's troupe with Amos with critr 45+20/212cdmg does 15k+28-29k on crit. That makes me think I don't need the new bow and also I was lucky to have aqua on the last yelan banner so even melt comp is done for me.

I do think it would be good on Fischl, Oz is a lowkey great damage dealer, and well Electro Resonance is one of the stronger resonances so there's certainly a lot of times when you would pair her with Kuki, Beidou, Yae, or Raiden.
Yes it’s a good stat stick for Fischl. You’re almost always gonna get the 32% ATK.
It’s also not lowkey, everyone knows that Fischl is good, especially because she just got a new BiS set this update.

Definitely try Kuki with Lyney, it’s easy to build his stacks with her healing it’s like the fastest interval ya know so you can just pop off shots.
There's a reason she was chosen for the trial
Bennett is faster(1s vs 1.5s for kuki) and gives an attack buff so he’s better, though kuki heals pretty fast too. Jean and sayu also heal really fast, though Jean’s healing over time is really small and sayu is weak in other ways.
Transoceanic chunks have spectra drop rates ;-; it was such a pain maxing his weapon

With tighnari he usually wants nahida with him, just like alhaitham, because he still benefits from the extra elemental mastery which just increases his dmg irregardless. If someone has tighnari but no hunters path, this weapon would be good if you also own nahida. Hes very specific in what he actually wants though, you'll need certain bows and stuff otherwise it just feels like his dmg is puny. Alongside an electro unit like fischl yae or raiden as well.
Hes very reliable on what he has, this new bow is definitely good on him but you need nahida too if you want it to work decently well, but if you have hunters path obviously use that. Only issue is hunters path won't show up on banners often or at all, same with beacon, so theyre gonna be rare weapons for the most part.
I am suffering, really wanting Hunter bow 😭they will probably rerun it at the worst time too lmao. I got the magic bow so I'm using that now with triple dendro for the stacks, with Nahida and Yayao sustain (and buffer on instructors) + Yae

Hunter's Path is only usable in melt on Ganyu
try out 4p blizzard strayer ganyu + x2 2p atk shenhe with something like a missive windspliter + a tenacity layla + noblesse mona

@@GuruOfTheMoon R5 Rust is only slightly worse than R1 Thundering Pulse not R3 or higher. R5 Rust can't compete with higher refinements on pulse and between R1 TP and an R5 Rust, TP is only 10% better.

Maybe the bow can be good for Childe in a international team with mvt speed to group/aggro more enemies
Don’t you typically run Childe with kazuha? The ca bonus is definitely useful but that movement speed one is meh
For a ganyu team with all the attack stacks then you would probably use ganyu, Shenhe, and diona and then xiangling for melt
More like Kazuha/Venti or even Sucrose for the vv shred

TBH swapping artifacts just seems like cheating cuz the bow has CD main stat. I run a 20 over 302 TFGM freeze ganyu. Obviously an amos bow with those same stats will give better results. If I dont change the artifacts then the performace is similar but its is slightly (very very slightly) more in case of TFGM.

It's pretty much a worse stat stick than Aqua on all bow characters but it's better then Amos on ganyu if it's r1 amos similar with tighnari because his weapon despite not existing on banners is better to have on him

I don’t use charged shot ganyu but I’m curious how good it would be for freeze ganyu with two other cryo units but burst damage because on my teams she never uses her bow attacks

Yelan is a more future proof unit then just another dps she will useful even outside of hu tao vape comps but the most important thing is go for who u like more
You can just make a mono pyro team with Hu tao if you really want to. It'll probably be worse than using Lyney but you can clear all content with it if the team has enough investment. If a C0 Dehya can clear abyss, Hu tao should have no problem.
Hu Tao is an on-field dps, which means that other on-field dps’s have lower pull value for you. Meanwhile Yelan works very well off-field as well as being in Hu Tao’s strongest teams.

I’m confused even yelans normal atk dmg is hp?? .. if it isn’t then the bow doesn’t actually sound like a bad option? I accidentally got this going for aqua lol but it’s definitely still a crit dmg weapon and the +movement spread would work using her E correct? So you could zoom around with yelan on this bow?? And have good dmg numbers lol

Yelan's normal attacks scale with ATK but it's not worth building for, since it's barely noticeable. I suppose you could use this just for the crit stat but if she's C0 Fav is still her best option and at C1 she has access to bows like Recurve and Slingshot. Aqua is so good on Yelan due to it's passive, not necessarily the crit dmg so I don't know if Magic would actually outperform her 4 and 3 star options without testing first.

Mono pyro Amber teams with charge shot should be good with this weapon. I had a lot of fun playing her like that and this bow could be a good option for her imo.

Hi everyone, needing your opinion please. I got yelan in this banner but when i was trying to get her weapon, i got Lyney's instead. Is it still viable for me to use this weapon??
The passive effects of FGM is useless on Yelan. You can use it on her for that CDmg stat if you're playing her as Dps or its Movement Spd buff for overworld exploration I guess. Fav bow Yelan is just better overall for some damage (with Emblem set) and energy for her team.
you were only counting the charge level 2 dmg for ganyu using new bow. its inaccurate if you dont count both dmg instances
