One remark concerning USB A on a surface pro 8, apparently USB A is not compatibile with slim bezels contrary to USB C, so it wuold not be technically possible even if they wanted. Other that that, as someone who is "allergic" to any fan noise, this laptop is not for me, but it's still good to know that it's a good option so that I can recommend it to other people... I'm having second thoughts after hearing the palm rest is metal. I have a Macbook with metal palmrest and its so cold to touch. What's your experience about this?

Nice review. I'm planning to buy a laptop soon, and this one's on my radar. How long does the battery last when using it for software/web development?

It's not as cold as the MacBook metal. Its got a coating that's a little bit warmer to the touch.
