      Not that good as before lockdown, I visited yesterday and tasted chilly chicken omlette price is 250 , but felt OK ok. Chef kumar is rude , his wife is good she talks well to customer but chef kumar behavior is rude, I asked him casually that before lockdown price used to be 150-180 why is it increased so much he told no one is forcing you to eat if you want eat else your wish. I would say taste wise 7/10 but price is too much.

    People complaining about his pricing. I am one of his old customer used to visit before pandemic and that time also his omelette pricing was 150 starting, yet i used to search for his foodcart. Reason his omelette is worth the charges he is charging. He doesn't compromise on the quality. His one omelette is like a meal. He uses more of exotic vegetables and if you check the price of these vegetables you wouldn't complain about the price. His nonveg seafood charges again is very justified as seafood any restaurant costs minimum 300 above. Rather than complaining about his pricing, i would surely suggest people to go try his omelette once, you will never regret. He is chef who cooks his dishes with interest.

Many people will not want to spend 500 while standing on the road side and eat. The delivery time of 15 minutes is also a bummer. He is an artist spending that time on preparing your order while you would have atleast around 5 to 10 people waiting for thier turn. Since he takes longer to prepare every single omlet , he will be able to cater limited requirements per day.

    • @increasingsun
      @increasingsun 2 года назад +5

      Agreed.
      But going more technical, the infrastructure he has its difficult to serve something different from the current once.
      Shop is small, people are less and most of all, he's still not trained himself to handle the small shop infrastructure, it's just 4 months as he said, it's difficult to manage the small shop business.
      I guess it's still a learning phase from him such as small shop infrastructure, location adaptability, consumer awareness and generate sufficient income to host different types of consumables.
      Remember he's getting no storage costs as he said, hence location based movement is a constraint .

    • @increasingsun
      @increasingsun 2 года назад +3

      Basic learning that he has to get is
      "Street shops businesses, pricing is very critical and single most deciding factor for footfalls and repetitive footfalls apart from location"
      The way he's pricing the food is way too much for consumers to spend. I mean it's a lot for regular shop based customers type..
      Hope he gets this.

    • @increasingsun
      @increasingsun 2 года назад +4

      Also 15-20 minutes to churn out?
      With increasing demand, it would go to 25-30 minutes or else the process has to be made faster, which according to him quality diminishes.
      Hes in a learning curve, cart based business is tuff to churn our products fasters and generate higher margins.
      It's a low margin business.

      The only problem for people like this are the cops, especially in Tamil Nadu who harass them all the time, by making them pay a certain amount for them to operate in the area, and the cops also from time to time keep taking stuff for themselves and family without paying anything which eats into the profits of these road side vendors who shoud say nothing back for their own good.

    Sympathy to him for losing his place. Has anybody tried to find out why? We visited him once, this man is super rude! If someone has lost something so much, the least you expect is them to be humble and not arrogant.
    I am an eggetarian, he literally has nothing for me. I asked him if he has a separate utensil for making only egg omelette as opposed to the one where a mutton brain dish was made. Both of them ridiculed me for that, sorry that’s not ok for a customer who has visited him after watching the food lovers video.

    I clearly remember the previous video of kumar on this channel, especially the bheja omlette. Looking at his current situation ,I feel he should work towards more competitive pricing and slight cost cutting ( previously he used 3 eggs now he uses 4 for one omlette) some other steps while not compromising on quality. Passion is great but business sense needs more refinement (6 tiger prawns on one omlette?). Just my observation.

    • @vijay2067
      @vijay2067 2 года назад +9

      Agree ...not to compromise with quality but quantity can be reduced followed by price...6 tiger prawns on 4 egg omlette is too much with pricing of around 400-500 rs for an stall... competition is too high in blore for pricing and quality ...hope m not degrading it...but that's the fact

      I drooled over that omelette and his expertise. But i would never order something that pricey and something that long to cook over a stall.
      Maybe 2 eggs + 1 shrimp at 80Rs is something reasonable. It cuts the cooking time and increases his orders

    • @syamanandasingh
      @syamanandasingh 2 года назад +2

      Highly overpriced...
      Those were not tiger prawns but regular prawns... It cost around 500 to 600 rs/kg
      4 eggs = 5 × 4 = 20
      100 gm prawns = 60
      Brocoli/Veg = 100 gm = 10
      Misc = 10
      Maximum cost per plate of 100
      But he's selling for 500
      I understand he should sell with profit but not with such obnoxious margin
      He won't find a second timer as customer

As a street vendor I wish he will introduce less pricy options, smaller portions and I also hope he finds ways to introduce efficiencies in the cooking process. A big factor in a successful food business(especially street food) is the turnaround time for the meal. May he thrive and be successful
