I’ve had this walking stick for a couple years now and it’s my go to for hiking/backpacking, super durable. The knife just needs a good sharpening and your good.
Dude he did so bad testing this because he missed the most important test. The old man test, see how it would hold as an actual cane if an old man used it.
I’m gonna get my dad this cane for Christmas, he’ll love all the attachments. He’s got Parkinson’s Disease as well, so he’ll need a cane eventually. He’s the kind of dude that, overweight, with a knee that doesn’t bend narrower than 90 degrees, still gets down on his hands and knees to get stuff done.
seems a little gimicky, but in some situations i can see it being worth bringing along. theres not a lot you can do with that that you cant do with a well made multitool and a tree, but in an environment without any available branches, you might be glad to have this. also, i think the first not very good saw might have been for cleaning fish or for use on softer materials than a 2x4
So, I've owned one for about a year and I find it pretty useful. I'd consider it a walking stick more than a cane as it is fairly heavy and as others have said if you need a cane to walk you probably aren't going to be spear hunting in the bush. I've seen video of someone doing chin ups on one without compromising the structural integrity, but being sectioned it has it's limits. I have repositioned a section to one end of the crossbar to create a monopod resting seat when standing in an amusement park line and it worked well. I also packed dryer lint in the section with the ferro rod to use as tinder, had the straight edge ground to a thinner, sharper profile, put an 8' hank of 550 cord in the empty section, and an 18" (ish) roll of 1" duct tape behind the glass breaker cuz you never can tell.
(Mid book club) would you like me to open the curtains to let some light in ? Hard cut to a man crouching around the garden with a spear hunting a bottle
I believe the saw with small teeth should be a metal saw. You can saw thin sheet metal or maybe a nail/screw in a board. Wood saws are always big teeth. Metal saws are fine teeth. 👍
I honestly think the curved saw might be a gut knife for fish. It *does* come with the spear and if it was serrated, that would descale fish, and the curved blade would help gut
This dude is funny, it's not that he tries to be funny it's the way he goes about his videos that just makes you laugh cuz he just does random stuff and he doesn't "stage" his videos, he just goes with the flow. And somehow half the time when he's reviewing something he ends up thinking " you know you could beat someone with this" just randomly out of the blue when it doesn't have anything to do with what he's reviewing. I love channels like that where it's just random and funny.
Great little item pretty! But may I give a piece of advice that knife with the saw on the top isn't made for what you where doing trying to widdle. It's for making shavings to use the ferro rod to have kindling to spark a fire! I see this cane can have a purpose in the survival world! I mean think about it not only young guys and girls like survival and hiking. Older people do also! Like for instance say a older man or women has to use a cane to get around but they also love the outdoors well a cane like this would be great for them. That's just my opinion though! Have a great day everyone
Also with a ferro rod you gotta remove the black coating before striking for fire! And of course it was gonna spark fire immediately you used gasoline lol😂🤣 My honest opinion as a outdoors person for around 38 years now this cane for coming from wish isn't really that bad of an item for as I stated above in original post!
turning the saw sideways with that button turns it into an ice pick for either climbing or breaking open holes in ice to fish or what have you. I doubt it would be strong enough for climbing since it's just a locking button though
knife clearly for shaving kindling and rudimentary cutting rather than carving a redundant spear and hey at the very least it allows you to use the firestarter, that alone would make surviving without any other tools much much easier (fire gooood)
Depending on how hard the wood is it's better to use more aggressive teeth on hardwood and thinner teeth on softer wood it's also better to use The thinner teeth for detail
btw the saw sucks because the teeth on it is smaller/thinner than the back of the saw, like wtf.. thats like trying to push a hummer into a minivan, you might get it in abit but thats it, the thickness of the teeth and blade should be the same xd edit think the first saw is more for meat or such, or its not even a saw, i would say its more of an serrated knife

You could use it for a ice axe or a fish scaler, because of it can turn, but it’s definitely not a a “saw” 😂😂😂
I was thinking more along the lines of a sickle. Using it for ice didn't cross my mind. Good shout.
It's too thin to be an ice axe, it's actually used for scaling fish and possibly a scythe
No it's a scythe axe

Whittles a stick to a point. Has an actual metal spear.

The knife would've probably been easier to handle if it's screwed onto the handle of the cane instead of the long tube.

The folding saw is more of an ice axe for climbing or pulling yourself up.

The little saw blade, the one that bends and locks is used for climbing in snow, like up a steep mountain. I think that's its purpose.
Saw blade folds to become a sickle/scythe. The 2nd item you described isn't a saw blade, it's a fish scaler.
I believe the saw with small teeth should be a metal saw. You can saw thin sheet metal or maybe a nail/screw in a board. Wood saws are always big teeth. Metal saws are fine teeth. 👍

Pretty sure the first "saw" is fish de-scaler and fillet blade combo. And could be used as a pick, I guess, since it locks at 90 degree angle.
It should have sections that unscrew and have a chain..built in nun chucks!
I think the curved balde thing is actually a pickaroon its use to move logs by stabing it into them and dragging them depends on the logs size
The saw hook can be useful for climbing ice in a ice environment

the first saw might have been a fillet knife or something to scale fish

The bad "saw" I'm pretty sure is some sort of pick (ice pick/climbing pick)
Ya are all wrong. The first, "saw," was a serrated knife, and the, "aggressive," saw was actually a saw!
The "saw" blade that folds is a scaler for descaleing a fish
7:27 OMG..the prey still alive!!!!😮😮
I think the first saw was an ice pick/ climbing pick
Yea I'm pretty sure the first "sawblade" you used was for brush lol. I think it's just a serrated blade for cutting thick grass or Woody stalks.
The saw that sucked was a scythe, a scythe is a weapon. Or it was an ice axe which is good for breaking peace’s of ice
I wish I was his neighbor 😂😂😂😂
"Hey come watch this. The guy next door creeping through his yard and whispering into a camera. Is that a spear?🤨"

I think the curved blade that folds, was supposed to be like a sickle not a saw, just a guess though, meant for small brush perhaps.

Love your videos! My boyfriend and I watch them all the time 😊
Maybe the "saw" you used first is acutely a steak knife and it flips so you can use it as a scythe style mid range defense weapon.
I doubt he could catch a dead animal with those skills😂
