im not hating but Ur pasta is basically deep fried 1 garlic clove isnt enough to bring flavour to the oil too much oil used garlic tbh should be sliced thinly to release flavour if your aglio oglio is nice its probably just the olive oil flavours and the basil
...oh my... sorry, Gina, but your recipe is a whole mistake, from the beginning 'til the end! 1. Really too much oil (about 4 spoons are enough for 4 people). 2. Garlic is gonna be crushed without peeling it ("in camicia" as we italians say). 3. Spaghetti must NOT be completely cooked in the water, but they must cook in there for about 3-4 minutes (or until they begin to bend) and then transferred into the skillet with garlic and oil, to get completely cooked in there. 4. To allow pasta to complete its cooking, add some pasta's cooking water into the skillet, a bit at a time until almost dried, stirring thoroughly (just like if you're cooking a "risotto"). 5. To give some color to "pasta aglio e olio", i suggest you to use some sweet paprika (red pepper powder); whilst, if you want to give a spicy flavour to it, better to add a hot chili splitted in two parts (and be careful not to let it burn, or it will get bitter). 6. No pepper is required in this recipe, and the salt is to be added into cooking water, not in the skillet. 7. It's good to add some basil leaves, to add a fresh note to this dish; but it has to be added raw, when pasta is already in the plate; basil quickly loses all its flavour when cooked, and especially when fried. Hope this helped in some way...
I'm sorry to say but it's looks like too much oil as it really needed as much of 2 cups? Can i add oil depends on how much garlic cloves i'd put? wanna try it out when cooking class for my juniors
Very Delicious!! Thank you for posting this recipe! I prefer to use more oil, I added 6 cups of oil and used a bit less garlic. It came out Perfect!! I Highly recommend this recipe for the Holidays!
Hi Leon - Yes you can definitely do that. The oil is very much to taste. If you like less oil, start with 1 cup and match that to your garlic. You can always add more if you need it.
People are dying to eat this. Well, I'll show this Dr. Caldwell Edelstein if he is dying to eat this. Too much oil, baby. Otherwise, good presentation of your video.
Its drenched and soaking in olive oil ... I would send this back if I ordered it in a restaurant
