I'm really happy to see a few nostalgic commercials mentioned on this iceberg. Some are actually really important to me. Not many who know me know this, but one of my favorite hobbies is watching nostalgic commercial compilations from the 2000s/2010s. When I'm having a bad day, or when my anxieties get to me, I'll put them on and they really help me relax, distract myself and find a little shred of happiness as I sit or lie down and think back to when I first watched them on TV all those years ago. Right now, I am not well mentally, and taking a nostalgia trip through some classic commercials from my childhood really help when I need something to escape to for an hour or so. Its kind of embarrassing for me to admit, which is why not many people who know me know about this, as I'm sure to other people watching commercials for hours on end sounds really weird, but I woundn't give it up for anything.
I remember a kid showing me how to draw the "S " at recess once in 3rd grade. I never learned how to do the chain of S, which was more advanced S. The game I played the most was Just Cause 2 and Brütal Legend on ps3.
Honestly this iceberg chart left a impact, The most obscure entry I honestly forgot about then just remembered from the visuals alone was McWorld, that memory was locked for a long time until now. Glad to be part of this generation.
I wish I had a time-machine to go back to early 2000's and relive my childhood and I don't care if I run into my child self that is a bonus because I'm hanging out with myself and I can be like the big brother to myself and I'm also dating Team RWBY and I brought them with me so they can experienced what I grew up with the toys videogames and cartoons and anime.
this video just makes me so happy because it feels comforting to know that so many other people enjoyed the same things that i watched as a kid! this brought back so many memories i forgot i had, i genuinely thought that things like leokimvideo and those weird effects videos were specific to me!! i used to quote "welcome to the dark side" or whatever they said in those leokimvideo bootleg toy videos all the time. i totally miss this era of the internet, and i honestly wish we could go back to it.
I remember loving the trash pack when I was little. My favorite part of the trash pack was always those playsets they made. They had that Zipline thing, a street sweeper, a garbage truck, and a game where you try to get trashies in a dumpster.
1:56:35 hits hard for me at the moment. I lost my childhood dog a couple of months ago. She was 16 years old. I was 7 when she came home and I barely remember the dogs we had before her. She was my best friend and I was her favorite human. I taught her how to sit, I taught her her name, I fed her every night. It's still weird to see the places she used to sleep so vacant, her food and water bowl so dry and empty.
I remember being like 3 or 4 and I had a dog named Rocky, but I don't remember what breed he was. He was most of the time in the backyard and would just chase me whenever I picked something that he was playing with up. Those were some really good times.
Man i loved one direction a lot, i had some of the perfumes, i still have the photocard checklist that they had for the photocards, basically a good amount of posters especially of Harry etc. Good times.
1:01:05 This entry Is the reason why I clicked on this Video.I loved Scribblenauts as a Kid because of DanTDM,Its great that Maxwell is getting the attention that he wanted
I had a dog named motor i got as a puppy, i got him when i was 3-4 and he was my first pet and i got to name him, and he died in 2021. i miss him so much he was my only friend for a few years. he was the best dog ever.
Geez I forgot about Zula till you showed it, but yeah I watched that. I've been collecting webkinz ever since I was 6 years old (I'm 21 now, still collecting) Each webkinz has so many memories attached to it, which is special cause without them I don't have too many memories or videos of my childhood. My dog Rosie, whom I got when I was 7, passed away this year so the pet section hit me a bit hard.
I grew up with gta and minecraft and all that mobile stuff those old youtube videos yeah those had a charming feeling but now yeah shit is different specially gen alpha things that I had to go through and I know all Gen z's had to go through but gen alpha don't know what was in our time and what scared us and what gen alpha has but for now I think its a nostalgia rush this video is amazing just amazing I think I just went through my nostalgia
I haven't felt so emotional from watching a video, that ending was a masterpiece. I never had that good of younger years but the good parts were always the best.
I still watch the Goosebumps series and the two Goosebumps movies on DVD, because this TV show is so much fun to watch with other people if you like getting very scared. Viewer beware you are in for a scare! That is my favorite part of the intro. Sabrina Griffin
My brother and I used to always have watch Amazing world of Gumball when we were little, play fruit ninja, and this video just brought back so many forgotten memories that I will now cherish forever
I had a pet rat named Bruce Banner (little me liked the hulk lol) he was such a sweet little dude and I would put him in a toy car that had Diego (Dora’s cousin) in it. He also would hide inside the couch sometimes. Little me decided to get a grey and shiny highlighter and painted his tail with it for some reason so he had this like glowy, sparkly tail. He was a good pet and a good friend and he lived for around maybe 4 years or something? He’s still buried at my old house and I sometimes think of the little guy. Miss ya Bruce❤
I know this is Gen Z nostalgia but as a millennial, a lot of the stuff in this video brings me nostalgia as well, I played with Bionicles, had a Webkinz and so many other things this brings back so many memories and things I miss.
Being an early Gen Z, I can really only relate to maybe a third to half of these. If there was a Millennial nostalgia iceberg, I would also probably relate to the same amount. Never quite fitting in to either.
I actually still have Mugen on my laptop, I don’t play much often nowadays since I’ve been busy on other stuff. Heck, I even made characters in mugen. I actually remember watching mugen back in 2016 or something like that. I finally got the game back in 2020 on my old Windows 8. Either way, Mugen is a great game you can play. Fun fact: The word, “Mugen” actually means “infinite” in Japanese
Baby Einstein (1:06:33 - 1:07:03) is the one piece of Gen Z nostalgia that hit me the hardest the most because I consider to be the heart of my childhood days that I grew up with and I always keep in my heart to this day.
I'm only 17 but this makes me feel old-..... man we're all getting old! just think- the new generations will never be able to experience the fun way the internet/tv/games raised us all
57:17 PURBLE PLACE! I have an old computer (2009) that had that on it! Over time I completely forgot it existed and just knew it as "3 games that I forgot the name of that were on my computer". Seeing that (menu?) shot with all three games brought back memories!
The three pets I remember the most are some dogs I had. The first two are Golden Retrievers named Emma and Abby. Abby had a darker coat, like Irish Setters. I also remember an English Springer Spaniel named Max. He was the dog I remember most.
It was not a kid I met at the park, but it was at an outside concert. I remember we went up to the front of the stage, and we had a blast. I only remember bits and pieces of that night, but I remember how much fun I had.
When I was younger, while I did know English, was encouraged to consume French content by my parents and teachers so I didn’t get to experience a lot of English shows :(
I genuinely had no idea that Annoying Orange was supposed to be a parody. I hate that guy. XD The heaven segment wasn't something I expected, but it was really sweet. I relate to all those entries. I miss my fish, my hamster, and my dog. Rodnick, Tommy, Rainbow, Priscilla, Maria, Oscar, and many more fish that I may not remember, I love all of you.
omfg... the end... it just hit like a truck. i miss my rat, Lana was her name, she died this year so, not nostalgic, but she was my everything, she died and i keep her skull to remind me of her. she died and i found my gf at the moment, we both lost a rodent and it made us bond. her guinea pig made her happy while my rat did the same thing. they're gone, but not forgotten and, i hope that wherever they're, they get the happines they deserve. while i haven't lost other pets, i had a dog, he was a demon, but i loved him, he's with another family now, old, but happy. he got there with his friend, another dog we got, but now, i have 4 other chaos balls to take care of, i can't say how much they mean to me. it's just out of this world.
I was born in 2009 (which means I’m the latest gen z you can be) and I’m glad my older siblings introduced me to all of this stuff and not what young kids have nowadays
I remember watching the complete gen z trauma iceberg, now I’m ready to watch the entirety of this.

Same.

The true nostalgia was the trauma we made along the way!

This is perfect for me because I'm a daywalker between millennial and gen z
same!!
1995?
Baby Einstein (1:06:33 - 1:07:03) is the one piece of Gen Z nostalgia that hit me the hardest the most because I consider to be the heart of my childhood days that I grew up with and I always keep in my heart to this day.
Hearing the zula patrol music at 53:16 really brings me back
i honestly feel bad for the german kid, i felt what he was going through every time and felt guilty for watching any video of him raging.
I'm only 17 but this makes me feel old-..... man we're all getting old! just think- the new generations will never be able to experience the fun way the internet/tv/games raised us all
oh hey, a fellow 2005-er
right!! -an 04 baby (19 yo)
Dude my lights started dimming as soon as he said dim your lights
57:17 PURBLE PLACE! I have an old computer (2009) that had that on it! Over time I completely forgot it existed and just knew it as "3 games that I forgot the name of that were on my computer". Seeing that (menu?) shot with all three games brought back memories!
I was born in 2000 so this is going to be a trip down memory lane and even better that it’s a long video!!!
The three pets I remember the most are some dogs I had. The first two are Golden Retrievers named Emma and Abby. Abby had a darker coat, like Irish Setters. I also remember an English Springer Spaniel named Max. He was the dog I remember most.
Little big planet 2, gta5, bo2 on ps3 will forever be my fav
No video makes me miss my childhood more than this one ❤
It was not a kid I met at the park, but it was at an outside concert. I remember we went up to the front of the stage, and we had a blast. I only remember bits and pieces of that night, but I remember how much fun I had.
When I was younger, while I did know English, was encouraged to consume French content by my parents and teachers so I didn’t get to experience a lot of English shows :(
I genuinely had no idea that Annoying Orange was supposed to be a parody. I hate that guy. XD
The heaven segment wasn't something I expected, but it was really sweet. I relate to all those entries. I miss my fish, my hamster, and my dog. Rodnick, Tommy, Rainbow, Priscilla, Maria, Oscar, and many more fish that I may not remember, I love all of you.
23:06 Gotta love how he's trying so hard to hold his laugh
This whole iceberg made my younger child heart happy!
I am 30 seconds into this video and the Yogos have already thrown me back to a time I didn't even know I remembered
Gen z might have been one of best generations for the internet
I'm a part of gen z, and let me tell you, this is practically all correct. Everything in this video is nostalgic to me (and our gen)
8.7/10 iceberg video, was interesting throughout and overall a great iceberg.
this brought back so many memories that I thought I had lost
Same
omfg... the end... it just hit like a truck. i miss my rat, Lana was her name, she died this year so, not nostalgic, but she was my everything, she died and i keep her skull to remind me of her. she died and i found my gf at the moment, we both lost a rodent and it made us bond. her guinea pig made her happy while my rat did the same thing. they're gone, but not forgotten and, i hope that wherever they're, they get the happines they deserve.
while i haven't lost other pets, i had a dog, he was a demon, but i loved him, he's with another family now, old, but happy. he got there with his friend, another dog we got, but now, i have 4 other chaos balls to take care of, i can't say how much they mean to me. it's just out of this world.
I love this Video Thank you so much ❤
Glad to see BFDI on the iceberg
I was born in 2009 (which means I’m the latest gen z you can be) and I’m glad my older siblings introduced me to all of this stuff and not what young kids have nowadays
