My cousin had a 65 with the 289 high performance in it. I dream of having one. That car is a dream. We had some great times driving to high school in it. The best was racing cars on state street in Salt Lake. Sleeper is right. He could just downshift and be gone. I was so upset when he sold it. He let it go for $4,000 in the 90’s.
I had a friend when I was in high school that had a 65 coupe also in burgundy and black interior. I'm sure that if he actually appreciated what he had he would have treated that car alot better. Did alot of running around in that car with our little group of friends. Many many quarter barrels of Miller Highlife were put in the trunk of that Mustang. lol Great memories.
I had a Vintage Burgundy 66 FORD Mustang Coupe with Black interior back in High School, that I had repainted Royal Blue Metallic Color and Shelby GT350 White Rocker Strips!...Overall I fixed it up into a 66 Shelby GT350 Coupe version! If I was to do it again today in 2020, I would use the Drivetrain from a wrecked or used 2020 Shelby GT500 or a 2018+ S550 Mustang GT Premium Platform including the IRS, Interior and the 7sp TDC or the 10R80 10sp Auto Trans with Paddle Shift! It would be my Daily Driver, A Modern Day 66 Shelby GT350 Coupe version with a Whipple S/C!...I am Just Saying!...I Got a Need for Speed!...God Bless America! 😇
This makes me happy and sad at the same time. I had a 1965 6 cylinder Vintage Burgundy coupe just like this. Had restored it for 3 years and someone ran into the front of it on the driver's side and went down the whole side of the car. Bent the front headlight all they way down into the bumper. Car was a total loss. What a beauty this is...

So, I don’t know if you have received and thought about my question about the 67 coupe I had as a Teenager. I watched this and was wondering by putting the customer top on your convertible was the price still around 200K Thanks Buck Varner
@@RtB68 Agree, imagine what $200,000 can buy. Plus, this car has so much modern technology that IMO it takes away from the experience of driving a '65.
These era of cars look so good but at the same time why do people waste time and money restoring when you can find faster, better handling cars for a quarter of the price. Time moves on.
@@plstewaf3 The total price then is $17500 not $2500. Not sure how you got to the latter. For $17500 you can certainly find a car that is faster, handles better and is more reliable.
I want to reply in their defence, even thought I totally understand what you mean. I have a fully restored 65 A Code Fastback in lovely condition. I drive her on the weekends and enjoy the soul, as you say. It means a lot. I understand "soul". That said, if I had to drive her every day, "soul" would quickly become tedious. It's an old car. These represent old looks - but in a way that at least gets them out on the road as a daily. I'm not 'for' this sort of thing, but I'm not 'against' it either, once you understand and accept that time has moved on. It's a big step.

This one is by far my favorite. Talk about an ultimate sleeper.
Love Mustangs. I shoot Muscle car movies. Primarily Mustangs. Feel free to subscribe. Would mean a lot to me
I love all your Revology videos; 4-5 minutes just isn't long enough. Longer videos please. Thank you
By far my favorite car out of the group. And they are all gorgeous...
Finally. A coupe!! From revology. I prefer this one than open top

Oh man! The coupe needs to be built, with a Ford Barra XR6 turbo 4.0 liter Inline 6!
I'm in the minority but i like the look of the coupe more than the fast back when it comes to 65 66

My first mustang was a 66 in the same Burgundy with a hood ornament and a cream vinyl top and wire wheel covers

I really want to restore my grandpa's 1965 mustang . It hurts to see it just sitting there for years
You should do it! I had my 1965 coupe converted to a fastback. Sometimes I wish I would have kept it as a couple because it's been slow process....
@@tyronzasmith3735 nice! May I ask how you were able to restore it?
i love your work
Dream Car ... o God ..this thing is amazing ....

I don't think they did any as yet, but if the requests and enquiry comes in, maybe they will try to work on a few. God bless you too!!
The issue is they started with a roof. So can they do this again if they don't have another roof?

@@DavidJSmith-hl6kb That's what they do best. Good luck!
Great story!
What size wheels and tires? Do you build cars with the vintage tire sizes of 14 and 15 inch?
Actually, I think this coupe design will become more popular as modern cars from Mustangs to Mazdas continue with the rounded "fastback" look.
Will y’all ever start producing the 66 coupe?
This is awesome
Do you treat the under body in any way to prevent rust

What size rims and tires please
Love it
Can I buy a coupe roof from you guys?
What are wheel and tire sizes?
What about price? What may it be?

Totally agree. 200K is waaay too much.

You took all the soul out of the car. Might as well just buy a 2020 Mustang. You took a 65 Mustang and sterilized it. No soul.

I agree when it comes to vintage vehicles, there is nothing like the real thing. Still, I'd love to have one of these Mustangs, I'd get a fastback.
