There’s several Govee groups on Facebook where people may sell them. I have a 12ft and (2) 4ft extensions extra myself in black. Did you figure anything out?
Great review… kicking myself for jumping on an awesome Amazon Prime Day deal on Gen 1… then these came out shortly after. Now on sale from almost the same price I bought mine!
Good video thanks for making it. I was hoping to see tips on how to install the power supply and using the mounts, maybe consider that in future videos. Thanks for the electric nic suggestion, I live in cold and snowy weather so I'm going to do that. Cheers
great review, the only question im having is where you are plugging it in to power it. are you running it straight from the breaker box, off your normal porch or garage lights, or just a random plug somewhere outside the home.
@@xXShifftyXx on this install, there was a plug conveniently placed under the eaves. I have done other installs where I’ve had to run extension cords under the eaves to get power. It would be best to have a plug under the eaves, although in some applications that may not be an option. I had one customer remove their spotlights so I could wire in a plug. Lots of variables
Great video… can I ask some advice… In ireland I have a two story house… So I’ll be going round the gutter perimeter, but on the bottom at my front door porch, how do I break from the top to come down?… Do I continue round as mentioned above, then break (cut) at top to come down onto roof porch?… Surely this would break the animation/run ??? And if I separate the porch with different power supply the animation effects will not sinc ???
I would do a separate power supply for the bottom, and just group your lights together in the app. Doing so, you can change scenes and it will apply to both sets simultaneously.
@@crystalgriffin6589 I did not, I didn’t want to penetrate the wood with screws. The 3m I don’t trust completely, so I added 2-3 drops of super glue over each sticky to ensure they will stay. You may not want to do this, but I do this on my installs.
Nice , is it diff from outdoor pro version ? If so , pls throw some light.. also what settings did u opt within the app to bring those color changing effects,
Perm Outdoor 2: 40 lumen 150ft max length per power supply Non cuttable/non splicing Permanent Pros: 50 lumen 200ft max length per power supply Can be cut & spliced I used some settings under the “scenes” tab. Such as “illumination”, “rainbow”, “Halloween A”, etc.. Hope this helps!
@@prestonknott4708 sync how? I couldn’t get them both on one power supply. At max with this model you can get up to 150’ on one power supply. So I had 150’ on one power supply and the remaining 50’ on another. I did sync them together as a group on Govee home so I can control them at the same time.
@@arobm93 I have seen people say they have cut them and heat gun some rubber on the end. Obviously Govee doesn’t recommend and it’ll void warranty.
