Thanks Chris! - I already have a number of their lights including some adhesive strip lights on my deck. They are "very configurable". I love the app - it seems to be quite robust and user-friendly. I certainly have nothing bad to say about them - The ones you highlight look even better! - Cheers!

How did you do the lights around the garage doors and routing? I was thinking this would look great, and then found your video. I think you are the first person I have seen that did this
I recently installed 4 100ft kits on our house. The lights and hardware are top notch. Sadly the app is lacking when it comes to the perm outdoor lights due to about a third of functions in the app require Bluetooth connectivity. The app is geared more towards their other indoor.. and led strip lights. Overall pretty happy.
The only time i've run into the bluetooth issue is when using light groups. If I control each device separately I can control them over wifi. I'm not sure why groups require bluetooth only. maybe that's a bug they can fix later.

I installed the Outdoor Permanent (non-pro) on my house. I have the 100-fr on the lower level and three 50-ft’s on my dormers. They are awesome. Running the St Patrick’s theme now. I dont find them to be as reliable on custom themes, which was an issue for Mardi Gras. I have yet to see a good video on how to fully use the DIY section of the app.
I love my Grovee lights (looking at them right now) but they don't work outside in my northern winters. It gets colder than the -4 degrees that Grovee is rated for. They also don't have a "twinkle" setting. Or at least I can't find one.

Hi Chris… I’ve just received my govee outdoor lights pro which will go round the top oar gutter of my house… But.. as I have a small porch at front of house, so there’s a separation from top of house down to porch where I’d also like to run the lights on gutter if the porch , is this possible? Do you still need the driver module? Is that something they corrected recently because I just bought the 200 foot pro box and that’s the only thing missing. I plugged them all into test and they all came on fine so I’m wondering if it’s not needed anymore or if I should return this box
Does any one know if they sell the extensions separately? I cannot find them and I need them to go around the roof spacing. We got the non-pro version and it doesn't come with extensions.
Hi Chris, thanks for the video. have about 250 feet of roofline to cover with lights...so I bought the 200 ft pack and the 100 ft pack. I'm going to connect all 300ft of light into one power module with maximum extension cables to see if I can light it all up using one outlet. If not, ill have to break it up inbto two outlets. Do you know if the lighting controller needs to be indoors? I thought it as all water proof... I am going to reach out to Govee to ask.
Clark Griswold 2.0 - these look great and would annoy my neighbour to no end - even more reason to get these! Just wish they had HomeKit integration … but since it has Matter support, is it safe to assume they can be imported into HK?
I wish there was a pack of fittings to allow the lights to be pointed down on flat vertical roof facias :( we don't have eaves at the front, and not think this would look daft pointing directly out to the road.

How did they connect the upper roof area to the lower part? With the same strand of wire? Did you just turn off the leds in the run between the different sections?

I got a quote from a pro contractor that deals Minleon to install 200 feet of Govee on my house for $2200. I think the pro kit 200 feet is $700 so about $3000. I had a trim light dealer quote me $4500. I’m kinda still lost which way to go

Im stuck between finish installing the Govee RGBIC 1st generation outdoor lights, or take them down and return them for the Govee PRO ones. Im just not sure if I want to spend the extra $400 for the PRO ones. Is it worth it??
It's only worth it if you think you're going to use a lot of white or if you need more than 150ft. Otherwise I personally think it's fine to stick with the 1st gen.
The GS company responded very fast but the price for the install is close to 3k. I’m going to keep shopping around. If anyone else have another company that is cheaper let me know
Awful mounting design and this is your "Pro Version". For what you spend on these lights you would expect better mounts for the lights. Every video out there shows the lights come with a nice mounting bracket the goes over the light, clips to the cord, and screws in. Not at all what you get. 1. The 3M tape is a joke even with prepping properly the tape will not hold long enough to finish one string before they start falling off. 2. The mounting clips they do send only comes 5 per strand of lights. Not nearly enough to make up for the lack of performance from the 3M tape. Lights still come off between the clips. 3. Returns is where they make there money!!! When I inquired on retuning them I have to pay for the shipping and there is a 25% Restocking Fee. Are you kidding me. No wonder you make it hard for people to enjoy them when you make so much off the restocking fee. Don't waste you your time or money on these lights. They are anything but permanent!!!
Well technically yes but 200ft is literally for a mansion or something. I've watched many many videos and it seems most people are getting it done for less than 150ft. Which is 399

That’s just one box. It’s about 5ft wide. Congrats!!

They used the included extension wires I showed during the unboxing.

Yes, you can individually control each light of you want. I have a scene where only the end lights, peaks, and above windows are soft white.

With the added outlet and expedited install the total was $2200. My install required a bit of extra work over a regular installation though.

Was it hard to remove and unstick the old lights to have the new pro lights installed so all your lights were the same?
Not at all. We just unscrewed the clips and pulled the lights hard enough to unstick the double sided tape.
@ChrisMajestic Did you have to use any rubbing alcohol to removed some of the 3m sticky tape on the back of the pucks?
