    Only there is a small problem, if you use on another geometry, not primitives, then you need to do UV unwrap, so that the texture is displayed correctly with Chaos node. Even automatic unwrap will work here.

  • @nia995
    @nia995 2 года назад +2

    Another amazing tut, can i ask, does the chaos node work the exact same way when it has the same parameters, so i can plug one in each texture of a quixel surface for example? albedo, roughness, normal map etc.

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  2 года назад +1

      Yes, you can just duplicate it few times for each texture map and then by selecting all of chaos node you can adjust their settings at once, so its good practice to align them vertically in Node Editor for easier selecting.

      @@NojsGraphics Works like a charm except Normal Map, but i found on the otoy forum that the chaos node works efficient with Normal Maps only when the Power and Gamma is on the default 1. Thank you so much for replying and for the great tutorials!

    Great video thanks what about the other maps rough,bump, displac, you still need to connect all of them in their chaos node right?

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  2 года назад +1

      Hey! Yes, you can also make process easier by selecting all chaos nodes, then you can adjust all of them at once.

    Great video as always! - anyways, how is the workflow for the chaos node when you have diffuse,roughness,specular,normal,displacement etc? - noticed chaos dont work with displacement.

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  Год назад

      Thanks! I did tried it with displacement and it worked for me, if you have more than one node, you will have to setup one chaos and manually copy it to others just like with triplaner node.

    How do you go about having the same Chaos for Normal and roughness etc to that they are following the same outputs from the Choas randomising?

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  2 года назад

      Hey! You need to copy chaos node then for every map. Good thing is if you select all of them you can adjust them all at once! So it's still not that bad if you align all of them close together.

    Hello! I don't have the chaos node avilable in my octane node editor. In fact, i dont have access to any of the light blue "Utl" nodes. It's not there. Using cinema R25 with octane studio license. Any idea why it's not showing up?

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  2 года назад

      Hey! You can try using search bar on top of node editor tab or clicking right mouse button and typing in what you look for or clicking C while you hover your mouse over grid background in node editor to also search for it.

    Can you use the chaos node as well as the triplanar mapping node? Or would you have to run the chaos node through a bake node first?

    • @NojsGraphics
      @NojsGraphics  2 года назад +1

      Hey! In short no, you cant use those two together, Triplaner need Triplaner projection out of texture, while chaos force you to have Mesh UV projection. As for Baking Texture, yes this node will make it possible therfore also Baking Texture node can work as a bridge between Chaos node and any other projection types.
