    Dude, this is so real. You don't even have to go that far to realize that there's something going on in the brain. For instance, getting work done when you haven't been exposed to stimulus after you wake up is easy, you tap into the flow state quickly. But whenever I wake up and check social media, watch videos and then go do the work, it's a hell of a drag. Keep it up brotha!

    I just wanted to tell you that recently I've fallen off the wagon with the practices that you have shown on here. My mood has kinda went down and I generally feel blahs. But today I managed to get off my ass and ran in the park and for the first time meditated with no music and what not. The sound of birds, frogs, and the wind against my skin to make me feel more present, it felt way easier to focus on my breath and become focused. And man, when the ten minutes were over, I opened my eyes and that early morning sunrise and the trees were gorgeous. It seemed HD like you mentioned. From what you've shown me so far on the dopamine detox, it doesn't seem to be a life changing thing, but more of a tool along side meditation and exercising. Honestly, I look at as a focus tool, or if you want to become more in tune with life itself. No Social Media, No Video Games etc. These days we have two worlds we can choose to live in: the real world or the digital world. Doing both at the same time is extremely mentally taxing. And honestly, every once in a while we all need it. When I first started Nofap, I unknowingly did a detox at the time. I completely unplugged from everything except music. And just.. it felt like a fucking brain reset tbh. I've noticed within myself constantly on snap and reddit, looking at the TV, then I look over there, then back at the phone, I really feel brain dead. And tbh if I don't take a step back and meditate or exercise, my mood goes REALLY fucking low. Without a logical reason. Your statement of "you don't have anything wrong with you" hit me hard as hell, especially since I got diagnosed with OCD as well (meditation is the cure, I don't care what anyone says). I too had this realization as well, all this time I felt like was this like dysfunctional person, when I I could've been overstimulated. Your channel has literally changed my life. Sure I've fell off the wagon, mainly due to sleep because I'm trying a third shift job and just my entire life routine has been fucked off so I'm back at square one. But because of you, I've got all the tools to be where I was. Much love. ✌

    • @aanghel
      @aanghel  4 года назад +8

      Yeah man that's really all it comes down to is over stimulation. Take care of that and you see how good you really are. Much love my brother Glad I've been able to help and happy to see you on the path to being a better version of yourself.

    I never heard of “dopamine detox” before you. But now I’m thinking about it I kinda did a mild version of a dopamine detox when I was doing my high school exams. I would wake up eat and study and repeat for months. I was in such a “flow state” it felt so easy to attain the knowledge and not get distracted. But in college I was always frustrated because I could never obtain that same feeling of easily studying back in high school. Hey man! Unrelated to this video, but I watched your video about how weed effects your subconscious mind. That was the final stepping stone in letting go of that vice which had completely taken over my life. Officially 1 week sober today and I don’t see myself going back to it. The internal transformations taking place are beyond anything I ever expected! I’ve attempted many new things to change my life around but deep down I always knew cannabis was one if the biggest factors and something I had to just let go of. I was just in denial and not willing to be real with myself. To some it may seem like a small thing, but for me...it’s the beginning of something new. A new life, a new lifestyle, finding and becoming the version of myself. Much respects and love my brother 💯

    Since the quarantine, I can't fall asleep until 4am or later because of RUclips. I thought that I was the only one with this problem until my homeboy told me that another homeboy is going to sleep at 6am daily. I'm writing this just went you were talking about people unable to connect. Yes my favorite excuse is that I'm an introvert. I even feel like I'm happy that we're all quarantined because it decreases social activity and feeds my introversion (if this is even a word). But to your point I'm not meditating or looking at the wall. To the contrary of being introverted, I'm writing these really long comments to every RUclipsr that comes across my RUclips homepage which probably shows my great need to be social. I have 2 smart phones which I now realize I'm using interchangeably whenever one is charging. Actually I find myself watching 2 different RUclips videos at once because a RUclipsr is livestreaming on one phone but I want to watch or heat another RUclipsr on the other phone. I probably need a detox. I need to watch your videos more often. I know that you don't upload like you used to and I haven't watched your videos since before you hit 100K or really when you were attacking the porn/masterbation issues...back when you were mikkois. But I realized that I had an issue because of the number phones that I use and the amount of time that I spend online. I bought video games 6 months ago to help pull me away from the internet and the dust has collected on them. I have 3rd phone that I use as an alarm every hour to help keep me more present, but the alarms are my favorite songs downloaded to my phone so I get a dopamine hit every time the alarm goes off. So to hear that you're going a month without this type of dopamine sounds bizarre and almost impossible. One day or really one hour would be tough for me. The best that I'm doing now is not having an ig or twitter. I never created them and I still don't get facebook or what the big deal is. BUT RUclips is everything. Leaving RUclips is planet exit to me. Even searching RUclips for a cure to all of this stuff feeds my need for dopamine and honestly we probably enjoy the RUclips search so much, that we we don't really want to find a cure. Zoom and Onlyfans have flourished during this time which does feed a false or fake introversion (if this is even a word). I realize that I am much like or much closer to those japanese herbivore than I really know and that I am being made to believe that this is just how life is in 2020. I don't think that I'm a cold-turkey type dude. The thing with the hourly alarm on the 3rd phone was to stop dopamine intake for 1 hour every other hour. I have failed. But your video reminds me that I should consider trying again because I do want to be different and separate from the majority, from the masses. But I my hope is to become financially independent and comfortable first before tackling my dopamine dependency.

    Hey man, this is awesome and good luck on your MMA journey, I agree for those shooting to be elite in something, this in 'Hard' mode will be incredibly helpful, most top top athletes will do a modified version of this naturally, plus they can enjoy all of this when they retire if they want to!
    Just wanted to add, I'm currently doing a more 'moderate' version, and for those who maybe want a tad more balance I wanted to share what's helped me so far.
    No High Dopamine activities before work, wake up and go into your morning routine whatever that is. Only thing I do, is play music during the cold shower, but no Social Media etc
    When working only listen to music for 'Busy' work, that doesn't involve deep work, so things like emails, simple tasks, when doing deep work easier not to, or relaxation music.
    Eat as clean as possible, goes against the grain here a bit, but highly recommend Medical Medium's stuff, tried so many diets at this point, and it makes the most sense, and has helped me heal the most so far.
    Schedule time in for the 'high dopamine' activities if you're going to do them, so you can simply enjoy them guilt-free. For me, this means only after working, exercising & reading, I'd also say develop more hobbies, it's summer here in the UK so I'm playing a lot of sport with friends which is great fun & natural, leaves less them for other things. But, like once things reopen I'll still go out and enjoy myself with friends at weekends and whatnot, but simply, schedule in the time so you don't feel guilty or shame yourself about it.
    Meditation & Cold Showers- Goes without saying why
    Enlightenment/ Awakening- This changed my life, you feel what you described in the video 24/7 no matter what you are doing, I've seen you mention you went down that path, but no offense, probably not fully from what you have said, what awakening shows to you is who you truly are, and why happiness can never be found in anything whatsoever, but life is simply an expression of this happiness, or a celebration so to speak, therefore, we should spend as much time as possible doing what we love, and well, celebrating! In terms of teachers I recommend - Francis Lucille, Rupert Spira & Ramana Maharshi - Although the translations can be tough at times.
    Finally, I recommend understanding the Enneargam it helps you understand yourself and others SO much better. Some people are much more suited naturally to the minimalistic, dopamine free life, whereas, others are suited to a different style of life so to speak, but by understanding yourself you can work with yourself instead of against yourself, and use your personality traits to your advantage.
    Have a great day man!

    • @aanghel
      @aanghel  4 года назад

      Yeah there's different ways to do it for sure. Glad you found a way which works for you brother and I definitely went down that path fully. No if's, and's, or but's. At the end of it, you're in the same place as you were in the beginning, just with new experiences and more awareness. "Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. After Enlightenment, chop wood and carry water."
