Subscription fee is so outrageous. Long time Oura user. Really put off by the new business model. They should always give you your data and charge for additional features/analysis. It's so unfortunate that they decided to just put up paywall for YOUR data and charge you for your $300 ring instead of coming up with innovative features that benefit the user and charging for it.
Too thick for my liking because my fingers are weirdly super slim. If it serves it's purpose and can help me improve my sleeping patterns, I think I can let it pass. Great review!
Sleep score. I have terrible sleep. Do you think this would be useful to help with betters nights sleep?. Not really interested in a subscription though. My favourite sport is basketball. Been a fan since the Michael Jordan era when I was in high school
It keeps you ultra aware of your sleep, how you sleep and your patterns but it's up to you to make adjustments and increase that sleep score! Kudos on basketball, top sport ⛹️♂️
I can understand the reason for subscription for smart watches because of their capability and usage. But for something that has less capability and features that are not fully integrated yet such as Workout Heart Rate, blood oxygen measurements or enhanced Sleep Staging algorithm which they claim will be end of 2022. The subscription is a no for me. I will continue to use my apple watch.
i just found you as my gen 3 ring just arrived (never had the gen 2) and i can not got it to pair up... i notice in your video you skipped this part and mentioned it took yours about 20 mins! can you offer what happened exactly? i've tried everything via troubleshoot suggestions on their website - and as many have noted here their customer service is really bad - and nothing has worked. i've turned it all off and on, reloaded etc. even tapped it on bench (which sounds weird but suggested at website?) i don't get a blue flashing light on charger... ever. just a flashing white light if it's charging - and then a solid green light.... help!
scrap this! it's all working! just took a lot longer than i expected - no flashing lights and i suspect my auto-lock wasn't helping. happy to go off and explore the app now :)

I've seen a LOT of complaints on their customer service too, but delivery times was absolutely fine for me.

Honestly when Oura added a compulsory subscription they lost me.
Yeah it's not a great move, but so far the product and app are second to none
