I had to boycott their sister airline after they stopped flying to Mali and Niger due to “political instability” with no notice, which was bs.
I’m a member of the Flying Blue and able to save my air miles on both KLM and Air France. Tip for anyone looking to book economy comfort seats, don’t purchase it when booking flights but wait until check-in opens online for discounted rates, same thing with business class provided the flight isn’t full. 👍🏾
Flew KLM from Chicago to Amsterdam , en route to Aberdeen, a couple of years ago.
I’d definitely recommend this airline!
I’ve flown KLM Amsterdam to NYC in 2018. It was ok. I made the mistake of accepting an “upgrade” to an exit row seat. It was a middle seat so very narrow seat. I didn’t have a seat in front me to store my backpack with my travel essentials, had to put it in a closet. We were right by the bathroom so there as constant line of people standing by my row. They seem to have older planes. The fact your screen was operated by remote or my seat in 2018 had cloth material. BUT I visited the Amsterdam KLM lounge in 2022 and it was great!!! The upstairs bar was beautiful and spacious and the cocktails delicious.
On my flight the screen was touch one. I don’t realise that the Wi-Fi was free
Maybe my screen was defective...Yes wifi is free, most people don't know

Honestly Sassy l just came back from Lagos yesterday after two weeks holiday l used KLM which happens to be the global IT issue day. Apart from that food and flight was fantastic as l never used them in the past 8 or 9 years. Yes still sniffer dog was still there.

Convenience and the crown lounge (love the fact that you can rent one of those little rooms in the back at an hourly rate) are my main reasons for flying KLM. I can fly out of Houston after work, land in AMS in the morning, head to the lounge, get breakfast, shower, rent a room for a few hours, sleep, wake-up, get lunch, catch my connecting flight to Lagos and arrive at Lagos fresh and ready to hit the ground running the next day without jetlag worries..

KLM food is fresh and good. I like their food.
Also did you use your phone or camera and if camera which camera did you use because it’s very hard to film takeoffs and landing on a plane because when I try to do it a stranger will tell me to stop either in the row behind me or next to me

Btw in 2019 me my sister and my mum were flying Lufthansa from Lagos to Chicago my dad booked us on business but the flight was overbooked and our seat was taken so they begged him and premium economy was still available so we had to fly premium economy from Lagos to frankfurt

You don’t need to pay to sit by the window. Just check in early and you have opportunity of changing your seat position for free. I just came back from Lagos to UK and changed my seat.
Please did you need a transit visa when flying KLM from Lagos to UK?

That dog looked so starved. Its shameful how animals like this are mistreated in Nigeria. You go to other countries using dogs at airports and the animals look alert this one looked tired and hungry. 😑😑
