Yeah. The war tapes sound (or any other profile) has always been great. Immersive, impressive, intense etc. Especially on headphones (directional sound), although it's pretty good on a stereo setup as well. BF1 was functionally perfect for its time, genre, and audience. I dont think we're going to see a AAA shooter ever hit quite as hard as it did. Games will get better, but that wild confluence of opportunity and virality that BF1 hit are extremely rare.
Something about the feeling of scale in BF1 is just unmatched, you're a small cog in a war machine and for BF series the WW1 setting worked so, so well.
Hard to believe Battlefield 1 is eight years old and incredibly active on all platforms. If Battlefield 1 doesn't show EA DICE what they need to focus on for the next Battlefield title then I will happily continue playing Battlefield 1 until it is taken offline. Gameplay and immersion sells.

My friends and myself played BF5 on Friday and had a guy with the name "DICE TEST" hacking through the map and killing everyone in seconds. So I can honestly say this new anti-cheat works really well. 👌
They would be mad not to keep supporting this game. It’s the most popular BF game in the series. I just wish they would release it again with way more guns, customization, authentic uniforms and more maps
They should just release a few more dlcs, there is a lot more to cover. Like I think the Polish-Soviet war or the Japanese-German battles in the pacific wpuld also fit in
The spotting is so good in this game, way better than the next two. Makes paying recon a real pleasure because you can spot targets even if you miss the shot, and you can find targets thanks to other people's spots.
BF1 is my favorite, but when I was top of the scoreboards & playing meta it was constant spamming the Q key. Eventually I used a program to bind it to WASD. The system could use a change.
You spelled op wrong. I've got so many kills as a recon without seeing the enemy and simply just aiming below the icon😅. I can definitely understand why they changed it

Yeah. The war tapes sound (or any other profile) has always been great. Immersive, impressive, intense etc. Especially on headphones (directional sound), although it's pretty good on a stereo setup as well. I have studio monitors, but i have a sub with my pc speakers so that gives me more low end. I muted (or dialed down) the background music though.
Still playing BF1 on a 29 inch ultrawide on my 2008 pc build (Xeon hexacore + gtx980ti). This game (minus the cheaters) is great fun. Started on BF3 (loved Rush) but BF1 really got me hooked and coming back. Especially playing the Operations maps.
I bought BFV when it came out. Never installed it. Played BF 2042 when it was free to play for a couple of days. PC couldn't really run it smoothly even on low settings. And i don't like the theme and look of BF2042. I maybe still would pick it up someday. But not now since i don't feel the need to play that game right now.

What is there to remaster? It still looks better than a lot of modern titles.
