How We Sold 150 Pairs of Shoes Online! (FULL GUIDE)
The reason I wanted to show you these numbers is because I believe this model is entirely attainable for a one person show. Obviously we have many moving parts in our business but if one person focused on just shoes and used sell hound to list, there’s definitely a lot of profit to be made.
$14 on average profit per pair of shoes.
1000 pairs a year = $14,000
2000 pairs a year = $28,000
5000 pairs a year = $70,000 - at a $15 per unit buy price.

No one on RUclips is doing things as transparently as these guys. Major ups to you, Ralli Roots!
Joey Burton 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
They do all they can to help people.
Hhhh i don’t see that. All they do is talk and try to sell you crap. It would be legit if they shared the link to their eBay. This is an advertisement for sale hounds
I’ve never seen someone break down each cost of selling the shoes so well before. Any person interested in selling on eBay watching this just had the best free lesson someone could ask for. Wow amazing job man. 👍🏻
I watched your video and then tried the app. I love it. I have had more traction on items and have even had solds. This app is great for humans like me who get caught up in details. With my OCD it takes me 1 hour to list an item. If you need your locks checked on your doors frequently I'm your girl, listing on Ebay, well not so much. I'm a single mom of a boy with a disability and is homeschooled. For this I haven't been able to work. This income from Ebay is life changing for us. And this app has already increased my listings substantially. Thank you Ralli Roots for all your great knowledge, and selflessness. It's so appreciated. 😊
Hi Samantha! Wow, what a nice review. I am the co-founder of SellHound and your story warms my heart! Thank you!
I used to sell just about everything, Now im redoing everything and im changing my ebay store to a party supplies store.
In the past 3 days of changing my store, ive got over 100$ of sales.
Anyways, amazing video!
Great transparent way to talk about profit. Most of the youtubers are only talk about revenue, but we all know profit is the only real thing after all the fees. Thanks guys.
Shalom- I watched the whole video which include you sharing all 150 shoes. Yall as a couple give the energy and vibe of kind hearted people. Love your video and your content. Blessings to yall! Shalom - Demarkus
Im currently doing this since last year and earned a decent amount but its just a hobby i enjoy. So far ive sold 100+ pairs from deadstocks to preloved items. im glad someone aint afraid showing the effort and behind the scenes of adding value to earn profit lol
Great job, as usual, guys! I love sourcing and I love doing the listing - but slowed down on photos - thank you for making me think about breaking this down into it's parts and look at what slows me down.
Thanks again and I really needed to hear what you said about cleaning them. I've been working way too hard cleaning shoes to near new for not much more $ than a good enough cleaning would bring.
Thank you guys. You are awesome! Trying to start my resale business . You were the first source I saw on RUclips.
I appreciate your support!
You guys are awesome! Love your energy. Always tuning in♡
They make six figures a year much respect for ralli roots
Maybe, but millions of people losing their jobs, getting laid off, seems insensitive or jerk-like to brag? Maybe?
@@AJ-gi5mb how is that related to this video? we are all just trying to learn how to sell, actually many people that lost their jobs can start doing this, not saying it's easy, just saying its a route they can take.
That was idiotic to say. Your perception is on the off position.
Yes and they help literally thousands of people every month create options for a better life leading by example. It’s okay to be proud! Sharing the success doesn’t mean they’re “bragging”... that just made you sound insecure and way too sensitive. This is a hard life and it’s not easy to stay motivated and productive. So get over yourself and get up and do the work and follow their lead and maybe some day you will be the one talking about your success instead of letting negativity take control of you. I know everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but it sure is hard not to at least try to show you the error in your ways! 😂😅😂🤣 by the way... I know this because I used to be just like you spending more time criticizing youtubers instead of GETTING UP AND DOING THE WORK.
@@AJ-gi5mb I get this is an old post, but you were way off base here...if anything, they just gave all those people out there that lost jobs a way to supplement their income if they so choose. But let's fast forward to 2021 post-pandemic/post government $ and you will see that NATION wide employers are having a hard time finding people to work because so many people prefer the free hand out! Sooo, nothing arrogant or insensitive or jerk-like about their post! They did the WORK to make that money! Sourced the shoes, prepped the shoes, shipped the shoes...and to make under $2000 profit in 3 months...hardly brag-worthy, but does show that there are unconventional ways to make money! Damn dude!
Always bringing that fire! 🤜🏻🤛🏻🔥
Awesome! Good to see that you are bringing shoe sells back into the mix. This will be good for resellers!
Nice tips! Thanks for your work, this inspire me
Awesome video, you guys continue to set the standard for us to follow as RUclips content creators. Thank You.
Awesome content would love to see more in the future! Were most of these from thrift stores? I was wondering how many thrift stores you guys had in your area that you go to frequently?
Great video!!! In the video you mentioned you only clean up the higher selling shoes. Does that apply to the clothes you sell also?
Just tested a listing on a pair I already researched. I priced them at $29.99 they recommended $28.99 Nice title and description. I will use on my next few pair of shoes. Thanks for the recommendation!
Steve Hicks happy to help :):)
luv you guys, awesome content
Happy to see the shoes that do so well, I’m lucky finding similar 👍 Great video!! thank you!!
Enjoyed this!
Great video! Nice informative video about shoes! I will remember to look out for these brands when thrift stores open again! My sell thru rate is 2.5% on Ebay. It dropped from 3.3%, but am selling every day a couple of items! ASP is $25 usd! I am listing every day something...lol it's hard to pass 400 items! Keep on doing and being positive! Have a great weekend! Joe Bee from Canada!
Hey Ryan & Allie, long time viewer & subscriber. Another great video, & speaking of shoes, just sold my last two pairs of Asics athletic shoes. I am sure you have sold these before-NW Hills Picker!
Thank you!! I’ve been wanting to have help and the 25% discount code has helped me commit to it 🙂
I love seeing both of you in videos...Damn that's a lot of shoes what a great service wow ! 🤑
It looks so nice and sunny there. It STILL snowing here. I can’t remember when it’s snowed past Easter
Great job. Y'all are the best.
I do well with shoes Thanks to you guys and watching your videos another great video Thanks
Thanks guys. I've thought about using Sell Hound before but that's when I was still very new. I now have been selling for almost a year & need help listing my volume of inventory I've built up (death pile) Thanks so much!
We'd love to help you out! Give the 3 free listings a try!
I love your videos. I just got into flipping. I have a couple questions. I am new on eBay. Is the fees you pay on eBay cheaper if you charge shipping with lower cost of the show or it doesn’t make any difference? And i hear from other people told me that I should only be a specialize in one area then all over the place? Will it make me more business because it looks like I know what I am selling?? I am looking only getting into shoes because I know lot and styles about them.
Do you need to have an eBay store subscription to be able to link sell hound to your eBay account? Thanks! I really enjoy your channel.
Great video and thanks for the information. Alli looks beautiful as always!
Thanks for sharing and caring! Stay Safe!
Nice video! I love it!
Thanks for all of the timr that you guys spend helping and educating others on reselling and picking ...I know it aint easy....and zi for one appreciate yall
thanks for saying thanks :) means a lot
Do you calculate the shipping price or does sellhound do it for you too? And if you do calculate the shipping price, do you calculate the shipping fee before listing it?
Question. Hi guys.
On the sell hound they come up with the suggested prices for sell and for shipping?
Do you find you make a lot of adjustments of those prices?
Hey guys, thank you for this excellent video. Just used Sellhound for the first time yesterday and made my first post to eBay this morning. I've been wanting to get into the shoes side of re-selling but have been afraid to commit because of ignorance on the subject, so I'd stand there looking at shoes for 20 minutes before walking away empty handed. Your videos have broadened my shoe knowledge substantially and I finally took the leap and began buying shoes. Thank you very much.
I have one question. Since you like to go with free shipping, are you combining the Sellhound price suggestions once they are posted to eBay to show free shipping?
Example: Sellhound Price Suggestion $51.99, Shipping Suggestion $9.95 = $61.94 with free shipping.
I've used sellhound for 100ish listings. They are great for listing shoes and some listers go above and beyond and look up the names of the shoe model. They are ok when it comes to listing clothes. It just depends on your listers. They are usually about a 1-2 day turnaround time. I did have 3 occasions when an item was sitting on queue for more than 3 days and I had to email support. They got it done right away after you email. The only thing I don't like is uploading pics takes a while. It's better to just take photos from the app. Hope this helps..
Thank you .. within hours had more offers... Sell hound is definatlty a time saver.
It's true. I go on eBay to buy my same favorite pair of Nike Free all the time. I like getting them in different colors. 😁
Love SellHound, a great way to scale your business
Thanks for the Love!!
What was your sell-through rate for the SellHound shoe test?
Thank you for this info. I was going to sell all my shoes at a garage sale, but not now!
Great video guys. Did you have best offer turned on for all of those sales?
we had best offer on :)
Hi Guys, great video and very useful information. Just wondering if you ever use Poshmark or any other selling platform besides Ebay? Thanks and keep up the great work.
Rick Bernst just ebay, Amazon, Instagram and depop
Thank you guys for all the wonderful content and inspiration, how can I sign up for sellhound the website doesn't have a sign up button and the app keeps freezing is this common
Thanks for the info like always. Does sellhound only list automatically for ebay? Are they able to cross list to multiple platforms?
Onaip just ebay for now
Onaip have you checked out list perfectly? Pretty awesome for cross posting
Are you only doing shoes on sell hound? When you are saying how much the shoes sold for were those your pricing or Sell Hounds.
I got several new shoes today at Goodwill. A lot of what I bought was new. Hunter rain boot were the only used,, ooso comfort shoes, special limited edition fighting Irish shoes with Shamrocks. I looked them up and they have all been selling recently. I almost bought a couple more pair that were new, and came back hours later and they were all gone. I noticed one was a Swiss company. I notice you all are selling typically $25-$40 on average. I am getting ready to set up my account. I feel these were good finds. I used to work retail and can spot unique shoes right away. Do you all not think you can sell at a much higher price, or is it that these were worn before. I am very familiar with Dansko, Vionic and. more. Just wondering what your thoughts were on the price point. Thank you for your videos.
Do you pay upfront on Sellhound? Or do they take it when the item sells?
Where do u get so many shoes? I couldn’t get that many shoes from just thrift stores. If u get them wholesale from where and if u don’t wanna say totally understand but u could maybe say how to find a wholesale type place like u use. THX LOVE UR VIDS
Via Trading in Lynwood, CA. Or, other liquidator may be good to try.
RATHER BE OUT FISHING we don’t give out that info on RUclips, sorry
Just want to say how grateful I am to be receiving all the information you guys post on RUclips. When I first saw you, I thought, who is this young guy in a muscle shirt? He can't be for real. Then I saw your gorgeous wife and liked you even less. But you are the best when informing on the money end of the trade. It great to know what sells and how to identify stuff but making a profit is #1. I so enjoy when you run the numbers. Bye the way, does the wife have an older sister? Randy, Randy's General Store.
:) we appreciate you sticking around and giving us a chance! Alli only has brothers
I know I have a couple Pair that are (Discontinued) they are so comfortable So I buy them whenever they come up.. You *Two* have a great week.
This is great for me! I love getting shoes big profit but I hate listing them and looking for how much! I have over 100 & this is going to help me so much thank you so much
family and me no worries :):)
Anyone know if I have to use UPS if the customer request it. For me its a long drive and the last package I sent
Package it cost $7 more than USPS. Thanks
Hello guys, how do you clean your shoes? And if they need some repairs do you do that as well? What condition is too bad to fix or sell? Let me know, thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Dumb QUESTION, so are shoes actually sold on your eBay account or on Sellhound site??? 🤔🤔😊
💜this kind of content very informative. I could've learned a lot about Ebay's policies but my account got blocked years ago...
ionkenmusic unchained sorry to hear that :/
Those sku. numbers will slow you down. Ill check them out. How much should i pay my lil brother to take picn n list? Do you do hourly? On commission or by the number of listings?
Are you still using the Sellhound app to list shoes?
How do you package the shoes for shipment? Do you mail in a polybag or box? Do you use the USPS delivery polybag and boxes?
Roger Johnson USPS shoe boxes, poly bag, padded flat rate. Depends on the shoes
Excellent content as usual but I do think the time it's taking you to submit information to sellhound you could have had the listing completed. I suppose it's because I don't have a specific type of product that I sell and I have a specific way of doing things which no one can replicate.
I agree here, I feel like the only benefit maybe would be the suggested price but even then just take a second to look at recent comps.
Yes your hair looks nice Allie
What’s the percent that sellhound charges you each item of shoes
Hello there, just wanted to know is ebay your main platform for reselling clothes? If so, what makes it better versus the other platforms? TIA!
poopyplum it is, just because we’ve been on the platform for so long and we know it so well. We have a great ebay reputation, but other platforms work well too. Like for vintage depop is very good
I just got into shoes sometimes I fine good ones at Ross or Goodwill they do well
I've been wanting to use sellhound for a while but unsure how they price items. Do they price it for what it should sell for and if you offer best offer would you then need to determine how much to raise it to allow room? Thanks Ryan and Allie!
Vicky Vault the seem to price pretty much on market value.
Hi Vicky! We price for higher sales velocity, so our "suggested price" is slightly lower than the average selling price from the last 60 days. That being said we know everyone has a unique pricing philosophy, so feel free to price how you see fit - everything is editable for you the seller to tweak how you want. Try the 3 free listings and see what you think!
Hey Ralli Roots. It would be interesting to have the two of you show your tattoos and let us know if any have special stories re any of the tattoos
Can I use SoundHound to list consumer goods, etc? 99% of everything I sell is new or near new in the box if that matters at all.
Reselling 101 I think they only do shoes and clothing right now.
It is so soothing to you folks say ...plus shipping...
haha :) not typically our MO and we're still in the free shipping generates more sales camp ;)
Could you share how many listings were added during the trial to achieve the 150 sales?
corbetco prob400
I hate to admit that mind control works but every single time you randomly drop the "give us a thumbs up" I'm like "oh right! I should do that!"
Great video. It would be awesome if Ebay would integrate this type of technology (sellhound) into their app.
Hey guys have you opted in to managed payments yet or do you know much about how that’s going? Maybe address in a future vid? Thanks for all your help, insight, tips, positivity, etc.! Appreciate you! 🥰
Sold shoes for 11 years of my life (retail) haven’t had any success yet on eBay with used shoes, new or like new I’ve done well, but in-time I’ll get better, been focusing on other items lately though. Maybe should start looking for them again🤷♂️
If I'm going to buy used shoes to sell try sticking with hiking boots or outdoor shoes. GORE-TEX stuff like that are alot better then some Nike running shoes. Smaller the market the better.
I LOVE shoes, so it's the perfect niche for me. I FINALLY decided to go all in and solely focus on rare/sought after sneakers, and it's been pretty lucrative. Last night a pair of Air Jordan's sold for 172.50. I bought them on offer up for $55. I also buy them used and restore them for profits. I'd suggest focusing on whatever product or niche you love. It'll come really easy for you. It literally just has to be the "RIGHT" shoe. Not every Air Jordan is worth money. You can actually use Stockx as a price guide (sometimes).
Do you ever try to buy from wholesale? If I buy from clearance, still can not cover the shipping cost.
@@KevinChinn88 are you buying online ? or go to store ?
Thank You for the info this all new for me our company will be closed for 6 month and looking for any additional income. I Just subscribe to Sellhound I thank you for your transparency and being humble!
Thought you said tacos gets my attention all the time... lol!
Just got the 400 listing pack using your code, thanks :)
Connor Bolling 🎉🎉🎉
Everyone in Florida including Me lol..."WE THE BEST"👊👍
Are you happy with the price they suggest for you or do you always change that yourself?
Ok never mind you do mention it
Hi there!
I need your help: I Ended a lot of items on eBay, that were listed for a long time, not selling. I would relist it, taking your advice but what was my surprise when at the ENDED LISTING I see all my SOLD items! WHERE my Ended listing went?? Do you know anything about that??
Please reply, I'm so nervous just thinking that I have to do all these 50 listings from scratch!
Thank you!
Marlene
Marlene Monteiro it’s not under your “didn’t sell items”?
Did you quit selling S.A.S. shoes? I remember you used to sell a lot of those..
Nicely done! I've sold my 100th crossbow!!! On my way to 200! Profit so far $7500!
Kameron Cooke 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate it buddy! Shoes are very profitable! New or used! Especially used! I've sold 5 of them about 2 months ago for $300 altogether! They will sell fast! I sold them for my cousin and got commission! I do that for people on the side as well! Thing about selling anything is, you must first have firsthand knowledge of the products you're selling! That's why I've stuck to crossbows although I can sell anything really haha, I just love selling them. They are fun to shoot and deal in! Been doing it since last fall! And still chugging on! 🔥🔥👌🏻 Much love guys! Hope you have a blessed evening buddy! 🙃
Kameron Cooke happy you sold them for a commission great job
Thanks buddy! Really appreciate that! 🤙🏻🙂
You said you sold 150 pairs but how many did you list. Is your $290 fee for sell hub only on sold items. I believe you pay for the listing fee regardless of the item selling.
Jerrod Lawrence deep dive the numbers, they sell the youtube with 6k, i did my own math with what they say in the vid, ive got them at about $7.72 profit per pair of shoes, they are very successful, good for them. They make a hell of a lot of money on you tube. I’ve learned quite a bit from these folks, very informative, i’ve also learned that they have “jumped the shark” they make more with youtube and their wholesale deals then they will ever let on. I don’t hold anything against them, they are doing it. I just don’t seem to enjoy their channel much anymore,.
@@timothylee7754 I buy 1 sketchers for around $35, then try to calculate the shipping cost in ebay. The shipping cost around $30. It is really hard to sell shoes.
a lot of people do wholesale.
yes, youtube make a lot lot of money. 1 of the guy reveal the income that he make on youtube.
It seems like a very obvious feature to add to the SellHound app would be giving the user the option to either charge shipping separately like it is now, or simply press a button and have it combine their suggested item price + suggested shipping price into the item price, so the item can be labeled as free shipping. Granted, it's not hard to manually adjust the prices to do this yourself, but it would be nice to have the app automatically handle it.
It's obviously the same price either way, but I'm firmly in the camp of items advertised with free shipping selling at a slightly higher rate due to the subconsciousness of the average buyer. I'd think adding a feature like this to squeeze out a few more sales per month would help offset the SellHound listing fees and ultimately get them more business. It's a win-win for everyone involved.
pretty sure they'll do that if requested
We are happy to do certain customizations for you, and will most likely be adding free shipping in soon to our eBay seller preferences. Also just FYI, you are free to adjust the price and shipping, and if you put the shipping amount to "0" your item will post Fast & Free!
It seems orders may be picking up again selling the same items ... did you guys notice any hicups a few weeks ago when things first shut down.??..hope all's well ...
roadstar499 for sure :) good days and bad but it’s starting to level out again
When you say plus shipping does that mean buyer is paying shipping. I thought you advocated free shipping and you include the shipping in your price
I saw on the Sellhound listing for the Chacos that it didn’t include the model name. Isn’t that kind of an important keyword you’d normally want to use if listing yourself? Just curious. Thanks for more great content!
For sure, they typically do include the model name if you go look at the shoe listings on our store
why the shipping cost is so cheap ?
Can I use the service if I am selling in UK?
I don't think so currently
this proffesion is great. nowdays a pickers get more respect in my country (INDONESIA)
Keep up the good work Ralli Roots. 😎🖥👍
Can you sell other items on sell hound?
Scott Howerton clothing, shoes and accessories
How does the shipping from Sellhound work out for you with the GSP program please?
Jesus Is The Way sorry I don’t understand the question? GSP is the sample no matter what. That’s a separate program
@@RALLIROOTS I was talking about the Global Shipping Program, the shipping part of it, sellhound for instance gives you a 10 dollar shipping rate for the USA, do they change the shipping rate for other countries, I hope that makes sense :)
@@jesusistheway3872 with the global shipping program you're not responsible for international shipping. You still ship to a US fulfillment center. so no.
@@RALLIROOTS thank you very much Ryan :)
It absolutely amazes me that used Merrell boots & shoes are that much in such high demand. I’ve purchased and have worn Merrell shoes for years and pay between $100.00 to $140.00 and lots of times on sale for $60.00 to $80.00 yet people still purchase used ones. But hey good for I’m glad your sales are doing very well in these times 🦠 STAY SAFE AND POSITIVE AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES #RALIROOTSCUTESTCOUPLE
You guys are such a cute couple. Stay safe and God Bless the best channel on YOU TUBE ✝️☮️❤️☮️❤️☮️❤️☮️❤️
They got back to me on my first listing already, but using the app, I don't know how to actually get it listed once I review it.
Brian Weegan just click post to ebay once your act is linked
@@RALLIROOTS I figured it out. The post to Ebay was not showing. I didn't realize I had to scroll up to see it. I got 3 listings on from there already. Waiting for number 3. I am sooooo happy you made this video. I have switched my store to a LOT of shoes lately, and this app seems like it could be a Godsend...or should I say a Rallirootssend??
Brian Weegan 😊😊😊 we do what we can to help!
The first time you use the app, you will need to grant authorization to eBay. You need to get down to the bottom of the screen on the review and post screen. You may need to hold a grey area to get to the bottom. Then you will need to login to eBay before you can post to eBay for the first time. Contact support@SellHound.com with any questions.
Too bad is only US. I would love to get in the app in The Netherlands.
We'd love to go global :)
good vid ralli i sell shoes but my margins are better then that on shoes. If i drop 10k in to shoes i usally wall away with over 20k gross with a net of around 10k BTW i do mostly NEW shoes. For the new sellers shoes are good sellers if the brands are good.
NYC Life that’s great :) depends where you’re getting the shoes, hard to hit those margins on large wholesale
RALLI ROOTS hey, great video, where do you guys buy used shoes online? All thrift stores are closed and I think they’ll be for a while ☹️
