As a RCD Mallorca fan, here Eto’o is the biggest legend of the club, he is truly the best player we’ve ever had.

He really was, it's insane how many times he scored against them
I was lucky to watch his career blossom and as a 10 year old I modeled his game around mine playing in the streets. One of the greatest players of all time who could play under the cosh and quite reliable and skillful. His eye for goal was ridiculous to be honest.

One of my regrets is that this great player, didn't join my team after leaving Barca. But I do VERY vividly remember his one season with us, and how can I forget his three goals against Man United, at which time he was supposed to be in decline. Thanks for sharing his football story with us. Thank you SO much. I had to subscribe after the joy his story gave me.

He certainly was the best striker during the late 2000's.
His biggest competitor for that title in the late 00s was probably Fernando Torres, and even he only had 1 truly world class season with 30+ goals.
Sheva declined fast after Milan, Henry grew less prolific and deadly at Barca, Van Nistelrooy's best late 00 season led to a La Liga title but no CL etc.
Eto'o hit 30+ goals 3 times between 2005-2011, and won the Champions League 2 of those times (plus another third time, with Inter).
Luca Toni was great in 2008. Mario Gomez too. Wayne Rooney, Drogba too.

I am not sure but isn't Eto'o generally considered the greatest African player of all time. The only other name I hear even remotely is Dridier Drogba and that one George Weah fan once in a blue moon.

Well this video was suggested to me randomly and I really liked this content more importantly the manner in which this guy has paid tribute to brother Samuel Etto. .I'm not actually in Cameroonian but an African who loves his people more than himself.. and what made this video special is the fact that most of the European clubs always elevate their own European footballers and in every other sports for this matter..despite the huge contributions that many African players had made in most of these clubs they were never appreciated enough rather many of them had been faced with racism and discrimination .. and I can count many incidents. .. I'm not going to name all the clubs but I can mention Barcelona which was my favorite team since I was little 😂😂 and during the golden era of the Guardiola's dream team I was supposed to be the happiest yet despite the magic they produced in the football field I was disgusted with the way The club had treated Etto and after him Yaya Tore and then Saydo Keita!! I know some people would say I'm making it personal and not all European clubs do so. . I admit that but a lot of them did and still do. . At Last I wanna thank the brother who'd put this work together and the amount of respect he showed towards our star brother. . Appreciate it again 🤝🤝❤

He definitely deserved a balloon dore but y'all know how it is with racism. So no wonder he doesn't have one but his talent speaks for it self. One of the only great players who went out with no scandals.

I seriously think a great player missing out on the opportunity to win the Ballon D 'or shouldn't be any serious miss. I for one doesn't place much emphasis on the award seeing so much controversy with players that should have won but did, for example Robert Lewandowski.
Samuel Eto'o is the greatest player from Africa and even though his many ordeals I still think he absolutely went to the pinnacle of his career.
