Well, if you're a daily viewer of his content, like I am, you're probably noticing that the channel is becoming more and more propagandist than accurate. It's unfortunate, but this channel (look at the title of the video / clickbait image), this is propaganda now. Reality is, there's an entire collapse of front lines in Ukraine currently but none of it is fairly covered in these videos - it's presented in a "soft" manner.

The U.S needs to come out and say that they don't mind Ukraine using their weapons in Russia proper.

Perun did a great video about those 'cope cages' on the tanks. Conclusion: effective as emotional support for crews, but mostly the trade-off is not worth it.
And Russia isn't the first to use them, but maybe the worst.
Also conclusion that it has some efficience against light drones and dropped ammo. So having the cages when attacking a force whose primary defense is drones (for lack of arty ammo and own tanks) makes sense.
@@steemlenn8797 Yes. With the note that, usually, only some vehicles are protected in any given convoy so drone operators can simply pick the easiest targets. If Russians start putting these things on their vehicles more consistently, it would be much more significant. Of course, Ukraine keeps improving their drones too. Time will tell.

Do you think those FAB 500 bombs are too heavy for the older Russian planes since the aircraft were built before these huge bombs were even considered?
A more likely problem would be their add-on wings sometimes fail to open and the bomb cannot glide all the way to Ukraine.
Plus Russian pilots are leery to get near the front line after losing so many planes and pilots when the Patriot missile system was operational, maybe dropping early and heading home is safer.
Not sure of which older aircraft you are thinking of, but in the case of the Su-25, how many bombs can it carry?
The FAB M54 family of general purpose aviation bombs is often used on the Su-25 since it flies at subsonic speeds. Although 4x FAB-250 is a standard loadout, up to 8x FAB-500 can be carried.
It's the slowest (although substantially faster than the American A-10), smallest and oldest Russian aircraft in service that I could think of.
*Maximum permissible weight imbalance between weapon pylons should not exceed: 1,500 kg
