That 5 game skid when Harden got there was the trial period. He's got this offense in a rhythm. He's scoring when he wants but generally finds the right pass. His basketball IQ is out of this world. And I love how Westbrook is embracing that second unit role. He will probably win 6th man of the year if the Clippers keep winning. Now just keeping PG and Kawhi healthy is key. Harden even has Theis a d Zu catching lobs and dunks at the basket. The Clips are looking scary if they put it all together.

What happened was kawhi started hitting his midrange again and upped his intensity to near playoff level. Harden got his basketball legs under him. They got comfortable playing together.
because kawhi said he actually felt 100% this season. which is a first time since his spurs and toronto days. thst is how scary a healthy kawhi is. even injured, he hobbled toward a toronto championship
@@hdihiiehei seems like lots of people havent watched that interview of kawhi. if youve been watching him for the last couple seasons, youll know he is a very different player this season just based off of his movement and speed.
This is the most complete team they are able to assemble. Back in the lob city era, they always have that missing piece in the SF position, joggling multiple people in that role. In the start of the clamp city era, they had multiple people on the PG position as they have a missing piece in that role, they needed a facilitator. They always have a missing piece aside from their health issues but now they have a very complete roster, hope this continues and they stay healthy

Word on the street is Kawhi is finishing games with no leg pain for the 1st time in over 5 years.
Harden has opened up the halfcourt for this squad by another 250%, no exaggeration. He actually fits into the defensive schemes (most of the time) and hustles more than he ole's so far - and even excels once in a while.
Russ is the soul of the team now, and able to take more risks and play much higher energy than his 33+min self could.

When harden got to the clippers I always knew they were going to be good regardless, they gave up essentially nothing for the league leader in assists, they only could've gotten better with the trade
On paper, this team is insane. PG, Russ, Kawhi and Harden. Just a matter of getting all of that talent to mesh.

Adding another small forward wouldn’t do it we need Luke Kennard back or a true 3pointer shooter

All they really need is a legit PF that can stretch the floor a bit. I keep waiting to hear any noise about them filling that gap, if/when they do, I'll be more sold on them actually winning against a team like Denver in the playoffs.
I'm not a westbrook fan but yes.. I believe he is the reason this is working for the clips.. if he did not ask to be put on the second team.. they'd probably become a lottery team..

You're not a westbrook fan yet you're here slobbering all over his meat, he isn't by any means the reason why they're this good, but he definitely was the reason why they were awful, him releasing that and taking himself to the bench where he belonged from the start is him being aware of how unfitting his game is for this team, kawhi's resurgence and harden's addition are why the clippers are this good not cus of westbrook realizing he belonged on the bench, you're clearly a westbrook fanboy lying straight through your teeth

I concluded that PG and Harden together isn’t good as Russ and PG duo, because both Harden and PG like to coock at the top of the key and PG can make some passes too so Russ will bring the ball and give it to PG early in the clock harden usually pass the ball late in the clock .
I can see where you’re coming from in this statement, but i will say from a holistic standpoint harden is the better point guard for for the team
@@HOOPMASTERY but we can make 2 different style lineups and be the deepest team in the league: one is a 5-out for harden: harden, bones, kawhi, Kai Jones and PJ Tucker. Other is : Russ , PG, Powell, Tmann, Zubac. This way it’s better because you know who is the main ball handler. when PG Harden and Kawhi are together they are staring at harden and the pressure on harden to pass to PG is bigger then if is Bones and Harden, and Bones is better off ball movement then PG. Pg said in his podcast he isn’t good at back cut but bones is I’ve seen he doing in the highlights.

russ is not a true pg. he is not a pass first pg like chris paul, lebron, or harden. harden is the true pg they have been waiting
