omg they really are cute and she is such a beautiful Nubian queen. Its nice to watch the women who don't look like they are mixed then you know you have hope for your hair. I am trying to grow my hair too and you have a new fan.
These twists look JUICYYY! Love ittt!! Great tips AND YESS FOR THE SULFATE CONTAINING SHAMPOO!!! SIS!! I literally cannot stress this enough! It is NECESSARY at least once a month. So many people's hair is suffering because they've cancelled sulfates. Your advice has made me so happy! You're doing all the right things AND IT SHOWS! Go you!
I love these mini twists. I want to try them since I still have time to perfect them before going back into the office. Is there a tutorial? Lovely. 💯♥️
I LOVE those twists😍....I can't detangle on wet hair because my hair is weak when it's wet and I don't detangle when it dry...I detangle when its damp to 50% dry😊
Washing my hair weekly didn’t work for me as I lost a lot of length manipulating my hair (because you have to detangle the hair on wash days) and dealt with a lot of tangles/single strand knots. I’ve now started washing my hair every 2 weeks and keeping it in a protective style like twists/braids. I only remoisturize every 2-3 days if my hair is in a puff. So my new natural hair method is very low manipulation. It’s weird because like you, I’m used to always wearing my hair out but my goal is to retain length. So this is what I have to do.
Have patience :) I understand where you are coming from. For a few people their hair grows really really fast. I talked about my hair growth in a few videos in the last two years.
I always say, "If I can't eat it, it's not going in my hair!" Try fermented rice water {FRW}; with orange peels for scent, and pure aloe vera gel {AV}. There are many tutorials on here on how to make each regimen. Btw, do not throw the skin of the AV plant away, boil it, let it cool, then squeeze the excess water out of the skin, put orange peels in it, and refrigerate. I spray that daily on my hair. My hair has been flourishing since November 2019, when I started using the FRW and AV. Edited 8.28.20: Today, I'm going to let the AV skin sit in room temperature water for one week, instead of boiling it, & get the nutrients from it that way. I'll update y'all.
I feel encouraged!! Literally since the quarantine I have done nothing but mini twists and everything you said I religiously do and especially understanding my porosity like for real. I have been natural since 2010 ish I had heat damage over the years and really have been a legit curly natural fully since October 2018.
My hair naturally grows 3/4”-1” a month on its own and I’ve been able to retain my lenght by Ayurvedic oils + instead of using water when apply products I use aloe juice, rose water, and JBCO water from as I am + I do hair rinses (rice water, tea, AVC, etc) + PREPOOS- probably the most important one guys pls don’t skip it it adds mositure and prevents hydral fatigue
You’re speaking the truth! I know from experience.. it’s just your name. I’m so uncomfortable😩😂 cringing in fact. But you know your stuff word to Mickey
So cute 🥰, I truly believe in mini twists lol. Really enjoyed your input during the Curls webinar this evening btw. You have such a humble spirit and I really enjoyed the tips you gave ❤️
Very clear and to the point explanations I like it even though it's the millions time I listened to those kind of advices. Still useful tips! Waiting for the hair wash day gurl... Beautiful hair
*Great video, I was just inspired to start a channel to document my hair growth if I stay consistent with 1 regimen, since that is what I struggle with most*
My scalp gets really itchy too (to the point of burning). I HAVE to wash it every third day. That's when the itchiness starts. Water along with medicated shampoo and ointment, does my scalp good. As a result my hair has been flourishing (I'm a low porosity gal). Good video!👍🏽
I don't know if you did a mini twist tutorial but i'd love to see one! This was a great video and I love the tips! My biggest issue is leaving my hair alone. My styles never last more than 2days for some reason🤔
You and your are beautiful 😍. Love your mini twists. I would like to see a tutorial on this! Thanks for your tips and tricks. I think I will try your tips and tricks. I'm at 12 months transitioning back to natural!

Try rosemary water for your itchy sculp. I used to suffer from an itchy sculp too, and no feeling could beat that after wash peace, so I never could wear my hair in braids. But I needed a break from the constant washing because I have quite the wash day routine 😅. So I use the rosemary to at least wear braids for two weeks ( I do them myself) and it really keeps the itch away, and I have notices it has given me a dark tint to my hair, which I am really enjoying. But rosemary water is really helping me keep my sculp soothed and my hair strands moisturised.
@@RachealAkua First time watching and this video was great, informative and straight to the point, thank you! Also off topic, what shade do you wear in Fenty? I've been struggling to find my shade lol x

I’m not sure if you’ve ever used a clarifying shampoo, but it will make your scalp and hair feel totally stripped. It gets all excess buildup off of your scalp. There are sulfate free ones..
