    I’ve done this before on a previous USP 45 but I’m having a hell of a time trying to get everything to line up to get the pin in using 1/16” and 3/32” punch. I’m tried going left to right and right to left. I tried wiggling the hammer. It’s the catch that is not lining up to install the pin that is giving me the most trouble.

    honestly dude, i bought a lem trigger kit and after watch your video i am not sure i should do it all by myself.

      if you attempt and can't do it, just make sure you don't lose or break any parts. Most gunsmiths can do this install for around $50.

    Good stuff, especially knowing you can keep the manual safety. Excellent video, thanks!

    Just finished this tonight for my expert. Took me about an hour total. Surprisingly the TRS wasn't the hardest part, the control group was. Thanks for the video series, very much appreciated!

    This is NOT a job for the faint hearted. GREAT PIECE OF WORK! I took mine apart and replaced some components for performance pieces and got it back together working but it is not completely perfect. The trigger sticks when returning and the hammer does not aways make a firm engagement to fire the next round. Now I have taken it back a part several times trying to determine if it is one of the after market components or my assembly “skills” that caused the issues. Figuring it out and making it better that’s all the fun. Videos like yours help confirm I have been doing it correctly.
    How do I shorten the reset length (distance)? What component is needed? who makes it a premium one and who sells it?

      @FirearmTutorials  7 лет назад

      There isn't an easy drop-in to way shorten the reset. That would require actually removing material from some of the internals which is dangerous in the wrong hands. Someone like grayguns would be your best bet for that.

    It looked like you reinstalled the DA/SA Sear instead of the LEM Sear. Is it the same part basically only without the little leg sticking out on the original?

    Accolades to you on the HK Trrigger Conversion to the LEM! Actually, better than the Complete DVD video from Gun videos :)

    Great video. I was wondering if you have a video on how to swap out the flat spring for a nickel plated one on a USP compact or p2000?

    • @FirearmTutorials
      @FirearmTutorials  10 лет назад

      I'm shooting a video on installing the match trigger kit. Swapping out the flat spring is covered in it. I'll be uploading it this week.

    • @FirearmTutorials
      @FirearmTutorials  8 лет назад

      I've never done it on a P30. Someone recently commented that it was a lot harder on the P30.

    Hi. I am ordering the LEM trigger kit from Hk parts, and probably the special pliers. I worked in machine repair / tool room in a precision machine shop, so I have experience with delicate disassembly-reassembly of precision tooling and machinery.
    If you choose to eliminate the safety/ control lever, is there a plate that covers the hole on either or both sides of the frame, or does using the new axle (without the thru-hole) take care of that?
    Thanks! Excellent video and explanation.

    • @FirearmTutorials
      @FirearmTutorials  6 лет назад

      It is part of the LEM kit. Covers the hole. Here is what it looks like:

      @@FirearmTutorials Thanks! I just finished the conversion, today. I used the light trigger reset spring and it feels great! Looking forward to firing it.
      I also purchased a light firing pin block spring, and a extended mag release lever.

    nice video....like watching a watchmaker.
    after watching this and being a decent mechanic - Not so sure about doing this myself now- on my brand new P2000sk v2.
    SO disappointed that H&K doesnt widely offer the V1 version P2000sk and makes owners either send the gun back to the HK shop and pay around $100 for this modification or forces inexperienced owners to try and to do this themselves and then rely on the finished product to possibly be used to help save their lives in the future.
    Love the high quality of my brand new P2000sk V2 - just hate the exceptionally hard initial double action trigger pull - once the slide racks and the cocker spring is set - the trigger is half decent but I want the "Lite LEM" springs installed. ......Im very disappointed in HK for the fact that Ill have to spend even MORE money to get what HK should have offered for sale in the first place.
    Cant imagine WHO would like the stock V2 springs.

    I’m at this point on my 45c LEM install. I noticed that the hammer isn’t moving around or floppy. It’s pretty stiff and hard to move. Is that normal or should it be able to move freely at this point. I have a feeling it’s due to me cocking the hammer and misaligning something

    How did you install the nickel plated match flat sear spring?

  • @zakmichael

    You can leave the safety on a LEM conversion? Does it even still work?
    I bought some lighter springs and a plated sear spring. Wasn't too impressed with the trigger so I'm trying to dial it in and wanted to see how to get it apart. Good stuff man.

    • @FirearmTutorials
      @FirearmTutorials  2 года назад

      Yes you can retain the safety. You won't get the de-cock feature though.

      Single action on the LEM is a nightmare anyway lol

    Seems backwards. If I remember right, I put the the sear, catch, control latch in first.

  • @wehrewulf
    @wehrewulf Год назад

    It would be real helpful if you showed the orientation of the lem sear before you just dropped it in. You are jumping all over the place. For example-" This came out in the process" You didn't show the part, or its installation it just magically appeared after the cut frame... not useful.
