Thanks John looking a excellent job 👍🐕🐕 I started modelling 50+years ago and the work you do is excellent .Love the doors you got them just right mate.👍 George in England uk.
John nice job as always following your videos just a tip why don't you use in sted of a regular pencil use one mechanical pencil 0.5 mm is beter to make the marks i used and I liked
@@JohnsWoodenShips Hi John, you are right and made it according to the shematics, but I wonder if you would find this setting on a real ship? Or see for example step 135 of the plans of Nuestra Señora de Pilar ( drive.google.com/file/d/1gfKEEqBOpd2FJ27PitYuhVt6EKmb9Zrr/view ). So you did everything correct to me the plans have a mistake imho.
The doors are in a different spot on the plans. Assuming the deck planking is the same width as the photos the doors are placed at approx 2.5 planks away from the hatch opening. The builders (12mm) appears to be at least 4 plank. Also the overhang from the deck above shows the doors the builder placed are to far apart. Another thing I saw was the bulkhead planking the doors are placed on are not the same width as the photos. All said it still looks nice and I really doubt anyone looking at the completed ship will ever notice the doors or bulkhead.

Thank you very much! I just had this pencil so i never thought to buy a mechanical one.
What impressive craftsmanship; thank you John. One thing, your English is very good but you at times refer to the hull as the keel.
Thank you very much Michael!!! I know, i have corrected that in the next series :)
Patience..Patience et précision,du grand art ...Quelle belle coque ,ça fait plaisir de voir cette maitrise ...
Thank you very much Robert!!!
What to me seems strange in the plans is that the doors are not opening symmetrically. The door knobs should be on the different sides.
You can see the doors, take a look again at 5:56, they open as i have placed them.

The doors appear to be not according to the plan illustration - too far away from the centre.
Watch the video and see how the measurement came up.
@@JohnsWoodenShips I did but it still does not look the same as the plan illustration. Is the plan wrong?
@@markirvin2809 Maybe the photos attributes are wrong. The measurements are correct.

@@Blaze_1961 Th3 planks are 4 mm ,so if you add up the number of the planks in the photo you'll get 12mm.
