Maybe someone else has a better way, or maybe he founds out that my way is easier. People do have the right of their opinion and they do have the right to choose. If i do not like a video or someones work i just do not watch and i do not leave a comment full of negative attitude, there's no point in doing that. I share my expertise and the knowledge i got over the years and the same time i show my work. Definitely there are people who are better than me ,this doesn't mean that i do a lousy work. I am building wooden model ships since 2001 and i am still learning. I am always learning, you can never know everything.

I'm on my 3rd ship now, all battle ships. The one that took the least time to make took me a year to finish ( and its not that I'm slow LOL)
John, I am following along with your videos on my first "wood" build and I'm enjoying your videos very much. I do have a suggestion, If I may. When it came time for me to place the handrail around the mast, I only made 3 tiny marks on the deck to place the rail. All other markings (balusters = pillars) were made on the rail itself. I then used the same method as you used for the stern rail, and glued the balusters on the rail and THEN to the deck. It resulted in hardly any deck sanding in that tiny space.
Yes the way you describe might be easier. I'll keep that in mind for the next project because in this one the rails all already in place. Thanks Joseph!!!
Great video, just as a thought why not glue the pillars on to the rail first-the one by the mast head-on would seem to me to be less math intensive. Then glue it to the deck. Just a thought that is what I would have done, I'm sure you would have too ,so what is the thought behind the way you showed in the video. Everything else I would have done the same way you did. Again another great video thanks for taking the time to do the video I'm sure it takes about 10 times longer to make the boat while shooting so thank you.
Thank you very much!!! Yes the way you describe can work too, maybe it's easier. You are right about the filming, it takes a lot of modification, angles, setups and at the end a lot of editing. A video of total length of 30 minutes could be a combine of 20 or even more videos and with a lot of editing. The hard part is that i do everything my self and the filming is harder this way.
