East Coast hurricane surf trip checked off the list, thank God.
yeah and for what-crowded, soft, clamping windy conditions? It’s gonna be an entire Winter to form up all the dredge sand that’s moving about. A swell w 30-40% more energy than average (Larry was 5-6ft @14sec) has most places closed out.
Where they surfed “by Atlantic City” is actually a weird wave compared to how almost all other beaches in Southern NJ break. With different timing (non dredge year) different location (take your pick of deeper water non shoal crazed “mystery spots”) and less wind, your chances of finding truly memorable waves are far better.

I’ve been seeing a lot of comments about Jamie being “grumpy” or “bummed”. Dude flew him AND his crew across the country to make content and honestly Larry didn’t live up to the hype. If I flew from Hawaii with a crew I would be bummed too. Let’s not forget the effort, time and money that goes into it making content. I appreciate getting glimpses of the frustration of this process and he still powered through it and put out a quality vlog. Dudes human and goes through human things. Health, stress, relationships etc..🤷🏻♂️

I would have liked if Ben traveled around Atlantic county a bit to show Jamie a good time . instead of just hopping in the water in his back yard . Pretty sure Ventnor and Ocean city were way better

The BG version of that trip had no psych at all. This one, Jamie mustered up some charisma to make it seem like he was having fun, but the surfing in the water says it all. No psych in Brigantine, N.J.

Live in Brigantine for 28 years and some awsum waves were in that inlet between Brigantine and AC. Fishing on the Jetty was just as primo!

NJ has had a bad rap for so long, maybe reality tv had something to do with it, but it really is a beautiful state. It’s called the garden state for a reason and, you could wake up on the beach and be in the mountains a couple hours later. They butt up to the Poconos. It isn’t known for killer waves tho but neither is Florida.
Jamie needs to go to Hatteras in the OBX during a hurricane swell. Koa went and got swept out to sea. It's a whole new game when u cant jus paddle around pipe and get in the line up. 10 ft waves all the way down the beach

Had a swell from larry here in St. Maarten (caribbean if your wondering) 2 weeks ago and there were some really big waves by one of our best spots called wilderness
