Personally Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich is better than Chick-fil-a (and both are better than KFC, BK, McD, or Wendys). The biscuits are tasty when fresh, tho it will start feeling dry pretty quickly, so the "honey sauce" goes well on the biscuits. Also, yeah "burger" in the US basically just means some sort of hamburger. Other kinds of meat on a bun is just a "sandwich". Really you're not going to hear anyone call it a "chicken burger" unless they've lived in some other country for a long time. @@AC-ni4gt A lot of sandwich's are served on buns in the US. Its the patty that makes something a burger. If you ask for a chicken burger in the US, you will not get a whole piece of fried chicken. You will get a chicken patty which is usually much lower quality meat, akin to chicken nuggets shaped into a patty.
If you go outside the USA, pretty much most sandwiches in round buns are called "burgers." A country that makes huge triangular scones covered in frosting or makes shepherd's pie with beef really has no moral high ground when it comes to criticising how other countries adapt their foods.
Popeyes is much better than KFC. There's more KFC stores but in the USA they're looked on as a bottom line convenience like McDonald's is. Check into it, I think there are UK Popeye's
In the Us KFC is cheaper and it was the first fast food chicken place so it's usually the place people think of fast food chicken but me and most people I've talked to prefer Popeyes by a mile as far as taste goes
Also KFC in the US dropped drastically in quality decades ago. They were great in the seventies, after switching to their initials not so much. And personally I grew up with their original recipe, and I don’t think they were ever great at the crispy style.
I'm not saying people don't, obviously someone does... But, I haven't had KFC in at least 7 years and I dont know anyone who has. There seems to be fewer and fewer, and the ones that I do see never have anyone there.
Do they have a Popeyes in the UK? If they were flown in from the States, they are many hours old and not at their peak. If you enjoy them after the trip, just imagine what a 'fresh' .
With the Popeye's vs KFC question, I think the better question is what's more available. And the answer to that'd be KFC. KFC is everywhere. Now, if Popeye's was as everywhere as KFC, I'd like to assume it'd be more popular than KFC. I always hear about just how good Popeye's is, but have never had it as it doesn't exist where I'm from in the US. Random thing though, there's another chicken place that's very popular that I thing you should check out. It's called Raising Cane's. It's soooo good.

This might be a location or pallet changing issue, but KFC’s quality has gone down imo. It is mediocre. When fast food only offered burgers and shakes I’m sure it was great but now it is in a sea of fast food diversity and it’s uniqueness of the past hasn’t kept it sturdy against the flavors and quality of the present (Popeyes).

KFC in America has gone way down hill. I haven't had it on over a decade because the last time I ordered a breast I got a back. Popeyes is very good but I don't get the spicy. I have never gotten their fries. My go to side is red beans and rice. I can't stand Five Guys fries. They are soggy with oil and not crisp at all. They are also too expensive for me because I only get them with mustard and pickles and pay the same amount as someone who gets them with all the toppings. I will give you Brits "chicken burger" if you stop calling biscuits scones. Biscuits are light and fluffy. In my experience, scones are hard and dense.

@@Beedo_Sookcool because Britain conquered half the world before they lost all of it...
@@nullakjg767 Okay, five-year-old.
Those are seasoned fries. McD's is still #1! KFC has the best biscuits on the planet though.
McDonald's USED to be #1. then they changed their frying medium in the early 1990s. Yecch.
Popeyes is much better than KFC. There's more KFC stores but in the USA they're looked on as a bottom line convenience like McDonald's is. Check into it, I think there are UK Popeye's
Popeye’s is a world better than KFC. But where is the red beans and rice?
In the Us KFC is cheaper and it was the first fast food chicken place so it's usually the place people think of fast food chicken but me and most people I've talked to prefer Popeyes by a mile as far as taste goes
Also KFC in the US dropped drastically in quality decades ago. They were great in the seventies, after switching to their initials not so much. And personally I grew up with their original recipe, and I don’t think they were ever great at the crispy style.
I wonder if this is part of their chemistry class, and they're learning about all the chemicals that go into making these foods.
HA! Love it!
They said the first Popeyes opened in Stratford?
Also we have Church's Chicken.
Raising Canes is me favorite chicken then Popeyes, KFC, Churches and Chick Fil A is poison.
Sheesh I can't believe so many people got triggered😂 if they want to call a chicken sandwhich a chicken burger thats fine its not that deep
I bet they eat huge triangular scones covered in frosting, and think shepherd's pie is made with beef, too. 😉
Dude it’s just chicken flavored with “ the south” or sometimes “gumbo”. It’s real chicken cooked a good way. Popeyes’ FTW!!!
I like the chicken burgers at Popeye’s and Chic-Fil-A.
😂
I don't eat popeys anymore cuz on 3 separate occasions I've had to pull feathers off legs or breast.
I always get an extra side of gravy for dipping
I'm not saying people don't, obviously someone does... But, I haven't had KFC in at least 7 years and I dont know anyone who has. There seems to be fewer and fewer, and the ones that I do see never have anyone there.
…. however according to Wikipedia there are 200 more KFC locations than Popeye’s, 3,700 to 3,900.
popeyes blows KFC away
Gotta have gravy and butter lots of butter on ths biscuits
Do they have a Popeyes in the UK? If they were flown in from the States, they are many hours old and not at their peak. If you enjoy them after the trip, just imagine what a 'fresh' .
KFC is bigger, but Popeyes is definitely better.
Popeye's is in the UK. Hopefully one near you.
Nah Popeyes is much more available here in the south.. you hardly see any KFCs. Especially in Louisiana
@@myibook141 Hmmm... I guess it might be a regional thing then. I'm from the Northwest, and all I've seen is KFCs. The nearest Popeyes is like 2 hours away.
@@zakthedemonlord yeah that makes sense honestly.. I live in a small town and there are 3 Popeyes within 6 miles of each other. There’s only 1 KFC and it looks like nobody has been there in years 😂
The rule is that the worse the customer service is at Popeyes the better the food
i worked at popeyes for a while. the gravy is turkey gravy. that is probably why they didnt like it
I live six blocks from a Popeye's Chicken here in the U.S, and if I go two blocks north I instantly become hungry. Love Popeyes Chicken, but one big complaint.. little too pricey for their small portions.
Artificial? Are you eating box mac and cheese or homemade?
This might be a location or pallet changing issue, but KFC’s quality has gone down imo. It is mediocre. When fast food only offered burgers and shakes I’m sure it was great but now it is in a sea of fast food diversity and it’s uniqueness of the past hasn’t kept it sturdy against the flavors and quality of the present (Popeyes).
They missed out on the real Popeyes experience without the red beans and rice
Popeye's is the 💣!!!!!!!
Popeyes is the best chicken imo
I'm not trying to eat no mac and cheese from a fast food place..just sitting there for hours..
I like my biscuits with honey & butter. The ones in this video are overcooked. They should not be crunchy.
The gravy at Popeyes is not my fav. I prefer a chicken gravy to a Cajun gravy. I always do the chicken dip in mash/gravy 😊
There's a riot when I don't make my mac n cheese for the holidays lol
Popeyes biscuits tend to have a crunchy exterior as I recall. But yes that’s not normal for biscuits in general.
Now I got to order me some Popeyes
They opened a Popeyes in the UK
GO CHICKEN GO IN KANSAS CITY HAS THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN. SPECIAL LIVER GIZZARDS
I don't mind the taste of Popey's, but I just find it waaaaay to greasy and sometimes the chicken has too much gristle. I still prefer KFC
I actually had Popeyes for dinner today
Crazy the British palate lol, they think pepper is spicy and never even tried honey before
Generalise much?
There s about 2000 Popeyes and about 4000 kfc in u.s.
hot honey chicken is undefeated
bisquits gravy jam butter honey whatever you like but its not scones we got scones here trust me 2 different foods
Popeyes is considered better than the old pluck-n-fuck but its more expensive.
Dammit .... It's not a chicken burger.. It's a chicken sandwich!! Dam backwards Brits!! 😂
Well, you invented the burger, and exported to the world. Don't get all snowflakey just because we took the idea and ran with it.
But I'll make you a deal: if you Americans stop making huge triangular "scones" covered in frosting, and promise to make shepherd's pie with lamb, like it's supposed to be, I'll work on the "burger" thing from my end.
@@Beedo_Sookcool well if you're gonna keep running with our ideas then at least run in a straight line and not all zig zag and shit!! Lol
@@louispulitano7087 Okay then, then you give up making all variations on sandwiches apart from one thin slice of meat between two thin slices of buttered bread, because that's the ORIGINAL sandwich. No other variations will be accepted.
See how stupid that sounds when I turn it back?
@@Beedo_Sookcool ok I'm bored!! Lol.... cheers lad!! 😅
P.S.... Don't even get me started on your tea and biscuits!! AKA...cookies! Lol
@@louispulitano7087 Yeah, well, even the French and italians will back me up on "biscuits," so you're outnumbered.
"This making me want to order a chicken burger"….What are you about, mate? Chicken burger is like nails on a chalkboard AAAAAAHHHHH It’s a chicken Sandwich lol
P.S. I’m teasing him btw
Popeye’s is pretty good. Much better than KFC, in my opinion. Popeye’s biscuits are a bit salty, it they’re really good. You’ve got to have them with butter and honey. They should’ve offered them butter with biscuits.
I believe that the UK has Popeye's.
Fried chicken is great.
Simple statement, yet i dont think anyone but vegans would disagree. Lol
