It stormed in Minot that year over Christmas. We got snowed in for an extra day, December 26; we had to stay until the 27th! We had that awful flood here in Fargo that spring, too- just months earlier. 2009 was a bad year for weather in North Dakota.

I Know I do missed the CRS Tom, Donna, Original Paul, Old Paul (Igor), and Craig's Voice from NOAA Weather Radio. Alas, We all are still stuck with BMH Paul (AKA Paul Junior) making an unusual error pronunciation during the weather forecast for one area and so on and so forth. It would be nice to have NOAA NWS start install Tom Donna, Original Paul, Old Paul (Igor), and Craig to BMH PC, because they made a best pronunciation about the severe storms, weather observation, et cetera et cetera, and to tell what time is it from either from Original Paul, or Old Paul Igor).

@@IanDahlen Well, CRS was launched in 1996 and using Old Paul and Original Paul, and by the time in 2002, they use Donna and Craig for a while, after a year later, Donna was successful and Craig didn't go well, and then replaced with Tom, and Tom's voice is the most favorable since Tom's voice and Tom's pronunciation is very precisely what we hear and easy to understand what the weather is doing and what is going to happen. By the time in 2016, they replaced with BMH Paul Jr, and still did not have a good pronunciation and it's been around since 8 years, and I can't get used to it and everybody despised BMH Paul Jr because, same deal as said it before, and some folks want Tom's voice install to BMH. There's some stories that YT user has the video why CRS has retired.
@IanDahlen Well, behind Donna's and Craig's name is, Crystal and Mike from AT&T Natural Voice, NWS use these two voices since 2002, and then a year later, NWS no longer using Craig's voice and replace with Tom's voice. By the way about Tom's voice, Tom's voice is from Seimens along with Scansoft, and now they called it VIP (voice improvements) for various voices to have voices pronounce correctly and to ensure listeners will understand about the weather locations, et cetera et cetera.
