OMG!! This Angel wings are beautiful. I made a friend of mine a a picture with two Angel wings and added a picture of her son. She lost him six years ago and he was her only child. She loved it. I love the knobbed whelks you find. I’m a shell lover and can’t wait to get to the beaches to hunt. We have never been to SC but would absolutely love to find some shells like you find. Thank you for sharing your treasures. God Bless you both
I would have loved to see the picture with the Angel With the picture because I lost my only child June 30 of this year by a drunk driver and I'm sure I would love to see my son on a picture like that he was 32 years old
I have a saying. A sheller never has too many shells. I find them, buy them and people give them to me. I make things with them and drift wood. I have been known to sell my work. I have two Junonia shells that someone gave me in a bag of shells. I told them what they had and asked if they wanted them back and they said no. I have found Rams horn shells. Just laying in the seaweed on the beach. Love watching y'all shelling and crabbing. 🐚🌅🦀
I don't get to go to the beach very often but when I do I always come back with some sort of shells. Glad you showed the muriatic acid treatment of shells that's been pretty cool. Love the shelling and it may seem boring to some people but there's always something new to find on the beach whether it shells or some critter or anything else you find you never know what will be there.
Hope you both get feeling better. Great shell finds I always love these videos my favorite ones Oliver we are in the 40’s here in East Tennessee and Smoky Mountains are getting snow
I'm a fellow sheller and loved picking with you on your walk. I've learned while suffering Long Covid that shelling takes quite a bit of energy so haven't been able to go. Thanks so much for sharing. I felt as if I was right there, and the history was great! There is always more to learn. Cat, NMB PS. Go to Sunset Beaches southern end to find sand dollars. Walk next to the surf and look back toward the shore. You'll see circular indentions in the sand. Hopefully, it will be a sand dollar!
PS… If you love shells, and finding them like I do, and you havnt gone yet…. Take a shell tour out of Marco Island, Fl (SW Fl) to the 10k islands. I promise you wont regret it !
To clean that rough shell.. first a 24 hour bleach soak. That will soften the stuff that needs to be picked off. Then possibly an acid magic dip on that one also
@ For anyone that loves sea shells the 1000 islands off the coast of Marco is a must ! My daughter is going this next week. I cant wait to see what treasures she finds !I have seen where the hurricanes really churned the ocean floor up and has rolled tons of treasures in ! GO !!
You found some beauties! Not bad getting stuck on a cool island. I wouldn't mind.😅 Finally went shelling on Monday for the first time since Helene. My usual beach (Honeymoon Island State Park) is STILL not open so had to go way down to the end of St Pete Beach. Big shell pile though so it was worth it!😁 Abrupt ending to this video! Maybe more to come??😊 YFSS loved this one!❤️❤️
This was our first shell outing since then, too. Yeah, being stuck wasn't so bad. We did have to wait about 2.5 hrs. The bugs weren't biting & the weather was good with a beautifully bright night sky! 🌠 Glad to hear you found some treasures! Hope everything is progressing well with you!
OMgood-NESS! What gorgeous shells! I’ve been watching your videos and subscribed today! I was hoping that you had a shop where you sold those amazing whelks but hearing that you buy shells; not a likely scenario! Enjoy and looking forward to new adventures! Happy Thanksgiving! 🐚☺🐚
We loved our West Coast treasures! 😍 Thank you! Those polished ones would make great jewelry! Is that what you do with them? Polishing them sounds like quite the process. Those teeny tiny sand dollars & disc dosinia were awesome too! So sweet! 😍 We appreciate you sharing them with us! 🤗 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! 🙏
@SaltyReflections yes I plan to make jewelry out of the shells. I'm glad you are enjoying your sand dollars. I hope you two have some wonderful holidays and have lots of fun spoiling your neighbors and munchkins. Love to all.
Went to Sanibel Island one time and stooped and walked and bent over so much I thought I wasn't gonna be able to make it back to the rental condo, but man, it was fun and they had some beautiful shells there.
Did you know that a few grind them shells up? They are great for chicken grit because they have minerals and besides the chickens need grit to produce good eggs. I know I used to feed them to my pigeons. You could sell that.
Muriatic acid doesn't effect the orange color because the shell is actually that color through and through. The black color is not the actual color of the shell but a chemical reaction from oxygen deprivation whether being buried out at sea or on the beach, it is not the original color make up of the shell itself.
It would seem to me that you’re walking along the beach with the biggest treasure of all, and on top of that to be stuck on the island. Wow every man’s dream no

Thanks for subbing! We 💯 are shell hoarders, but we do have an eBay shop where we list a few treasures occasionally. ☺️
I hope you enjoyed the small treasures from the west coast. Have great holidays.

Love to all.
That brown bottle looks like a Schlitz Malt liquor that my daddy used to drink many years ago!!
☺️

Wow giant olive
One of our biggest, I believe! Thanks for coming along for another beach walk! 🌊🐚👣
I AM JUST WONDERNG WHAT YOU DO WITH THE SHELLS ?
Just look at them! 🤩😍
Your olives are HUGE!
That one especially! 😲
😀😀😀👍❤
🤗🌊👣🐚
Did you know that a few grind them shells up? They are great for chicken grit because they have minerals and besides the chickens need grit to produce good eggs. I know I used to feed them to my pigeons. You could sell that.
I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever need another side hustle.
It's been two weeks now. You guys still stuck? 😲👀🙈 Nice shells overall! 👍💖
😂 🫣
How long did you have to wait to launch the boat? Enjoy the videos, keeping it real!
We ended up having to wait on the tide about 2.5 hrs. Glad you enjoyed it! 🌊👣🐚
I read somewhere that the blackish shells are where they have been buried with oxygen depletion causing the dark coloring.
Thanks for the info!
Do you ever catch live oysters to eat?
We don't.
I'm From The Carolinas And I Want To Thank Y'all For Taking Us Out. 🙏❤💙
#BeachCombing
Thanks for coming along! 🌊👣🐚
How are you walking on all those little shells barefooted Steph
Tough feet, I guess. But I wouldn't have very long, they are rough!
THAT 's wondering .
🤗🌊👣🐚

Some shellers soak their shells in bleach solution to get beach stuff off the shells.
Yep. Bleach works great, too. Thanks for coming along! 🌊👣🐚
It would seem to me that you’re walking along the beach with the biggest treasure of all, and on top of that to be stuck on the island. Wow every man’s dream no
Thanks! 😊
You should use that blue bag for your trash
That is what we did with it - stuffed all the other trash into it. Great minds ... 🤗
He sounds like he has a cold or something ,

It's alright if your a shell worker to me Stephanie
