honestly ripping it on the streets for people to see is a public service. beautiful car.
Thank you! That's what I love about these cars, sharing them. They're a piece of modern art and history and belong on the roads 😊
Seeing this on the road would totally make my day. Thank you for your service! 😍🙌🏼
Should get a tax break for making peoples day
True!
Nobel Peace Prize material even.
Only 2 mins? Now I know how she feels.
Jajajaaj te pasas, aunque no se de UNITED STATES entiendo tu comentario :P aunque tienes razón UwU
If you only last two minutes, that is sad
😂😂
Ohhhh!!!
You only really need 2 min anyways 😂
One of the best in car GT40 videos I've seen. Nice camera placement and sound. Beautiful paint in the Downforce vid. Car looks very well maintained. Like your work.
Thanks!
One of the coolest cars ever made, wow! I'm incredibly jealous.
Rides like a dream, a beautiful sound, who needs a stereo, when you can listen to the 427 sing
That was awesome. Felt like I was in the passenger seat. Could of given me a ride little longer than 2.34 minutes man.
GT40 one of my favorite car to this day. Just awesome is all I can say. Thanks for the ride.
no way this is my town i literally drive here almost every day
Yessir! I sold this one back In November but have another one enroute from South Africa as we speak. I'm in the area almost daily, especially around old downtown. You'll see my mki around town later this year!! 👍🏻
That sounds absolutely amazing!
It's pure bliss!!! I sold this one but have 2 more coming, one in the next few months, and one early next year. I plan to shoot and post a lot more driving vids!
@@VINGIGGSFollowing thank you
This pure joy of driving.Thanks!
It's that Roush engine that really makes this car come alive and sound so perfect doing it!
And Carol Shelby autograph on the dash...how Awesome is that!!
The strange thing about car videos shot abroad is that many people talk to cars in the next lane while waiting for a traffic light. It's a very friendly sight, but it's absolutely impossible in Japan. In Japan, everyone drives quietly and quietly. Road full of traffic lights
While stopping every 1km ...
Thing sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Every time he changes gears my heart breaks a little.
I can listen to that sound all day..
1.17 That was too funny. A dude in a Toyota wanted to know what engine it had. Eh, Roush 427 of course. Noting else will do…and then you blow him away. Lol.
😂😂😂
This makes the c8 look and sound like crap
Beautiful machine. You lucky bastard 🚬
You sound like that guy who drives the racing E-type in Vanishing Point! :0)
Gotta love a car where you can easily reach across and open the passenger side door
I used to have a '73 MGB..
I had to lean to do that.
Haha so true!!!
its an american its obviously built for the right cheek
This made me very happy.
Love it!
Straight cut gears would complete the symphony.
Beautiful car brother. Love those GT40’s. I have that same Roush 427 Aluminator motor with the 8 stacks in my 67 Eleanor GT500. She’s a beast of a motor. Beautiful car, awesome video. Wished it was longer. LoL
1966! That car is amazing! Thanks for the ride-a-long!
1966, man engineering amazing
it´s a replica only right hand steering was made
Forget AI analog is way better. The sound of the car's engine reaches some primordial spot in the brain.
This car is still an achievement half a century on. Mechanically and cosmetically flawless. Long live Caroll Shelby.
I wasn't really into the Ford GT till I saw that movie "Ford vs Ferrari" and I sure got hooked on the Ford GT. Sometimes I wish I was driving a Ford GT when I'm climbing hills on the freeway when I'm driving back to home from the city for the weekend, it's about a 4hr drive..
Driven the way it was built to do!
I'd be giggling with shitty underwear!!!
Hold on, I know that road! Is it possible to actually see a superformance auto mobile in this part of North carolina? Honestly? That is super cool! Perhaps at THE car show held in the town that this road, Bradley, is in, and is Next to the ice cream stop and close to Lowes foods? Honestly, that would be super to know!
Yea that was definitely Brawley in Mooresville
Yep you guys nailed it! I sold this car back in November but have another one coming. I'm in Mooresville almost daily so be on the lookout for a Grigio Silverstone colored mki late fall
That would be so fun to drive that. One of the dream cars to drive for sure
Way too cool.
9 people are Ferrari fans
😂
I’d love to be in that seat !
Your car picks up so quick, I’ve got a Roush 347 in my MK1 and it’s quick but not like yours, so much torque! One thing I noticed I mine is louder on open throttle but I have an open 8 stack, potentially risking debris going in the engine. Love your car and seeing you drive around ❤️
Ya… debris in the intake like, you know, Corvettes, Camaros, Ferraris, Hellcats. Annoying eh??? 😊
Caroll Shelby: There's a point - 7000 RPM - where everything fades. When your seeing becomes weightless, just disappears. And all that's left is a body moving through space and time. 7000 RPM that's where you meet it.
Should put "superformance" or something in the title so people know it's a replica, not an actual GT40. I feel clickbaited
Yep. Originals are worth couple million, and unfortunately prob never driven...wot a waste
Handled that U-Turn like a boss.
🤣 love it
Damn that looks fun!!
This car sounds lovely What a legend of a Car
Whatever you paid for it then it's probably worth about $100K more with Shelby's signature on it.
I don't beleve it!! It is beatifull!! I'm crying for this big emotion. Congratulation!!!
That 2 minutes? Better than sex.
Funny how He reached over and opens the door, like nothing.. i thought is that a right hand drive???
Both
I had the opportunity of a lifetime to ride as passenger/navigator on a road rally in an original GT40. It was freaking incredible, especially with the experienced vintage racer at the wheel. I still giggle when I think about it.
Wow that's awese, thanks for sharing!!! What an incredible and rare experience!
@@VINGIGGS how much did you get your replica? i've been eyeballing a chevy cheetah since last year, for $35k
@@marquaviouschester6947 it's not a replica, these are factory built continuation cars licensed by Ford and Shelby. 90% of the cars are interchangeable with the original, and get a Pchasis number inline with the original cars. They are real GT40s. There are about 440 of them in the world. They're skyrocketing in value, an older used one is going for about $250,000 right now. I recently got offered $350,000 for my new one I'm taking delivery of next month (been waiting 2 years for it)
@@VINGIGGS jesus, i didnt know ford and shelby continued making it themselves. thats rare for any automaker to do that. ill just stay with the cheetah or cobra
@@marquaviouschester6947 yessir. The manufacturer is a company called Superformance. They're incredibly cool, especially because they're real GT40s without the $10,000,000+ pricetag 😀
I'm old motor head from the 80's always nice to hear V8. I new the guy in the Suby was going to ask you about the car.
In this car you need no audiosystem because the sound of the revving or decelerating engine is allready Music to every petrolhead's Ears
I wish I could ride in this beautiful beast
I have given tons of rides!
@@VINGIGGS that’s hella generous of you keep that beauty in good condition, a nice piece of history you got right there
Im living my live through these short movies. Sad but True -muhtellica-
super sound) like melody
Who needs a radio, the sound is the music.😎👍😎👍
Absolutely visceral, love it. Sounds amazing with that 427 big block
What a beast!
Sound fearsome!!!!!! I bet it can get it!!!!!
😲🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩👌👏👍.
Not a genuine GT40, just a replica.
I don’t know how to feel about the guy who asked if it had an ls in it 😭
You should setup a US Tour schedule with paid appointments to let people drive it for 15 minutes. You’d make a fortune and they’d take care of a bucket list item!
I gave rides all the time! Such a blast!
@@VINGIGGS Nice!
Great vid. How about a longer version in areas where you can really get on it, like maybe some twist mountain roads?
Yeah. "Get on it" on some backroads in a 1500kg deathcart from the 60s. Hell no.
@@nutcase4.4 I actually drove this car hard for 12 hours in the mountains over 2 days including through Tail of the dragon. Best driving experience ever!!!
You need to create a fantastic, beautiful and legendary beast to beat Ferrari in LeMans like this GT40 did in the 60's. Carroll Shelby's terrific work with his team and Ford Motor Company achieves this car that is a masterpiece. Chapeau from a Ferrari fan.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Beautiful car. Silver or black in color thats the dilemma
He said LS? C'mon man. If you don't have a 427 you don't have a GT40 (or 289-351)
along with the millennium falcon, the best in the universe
😂😂😂 perfectly said!
Hahaha. And both almost as fast. Except when Chewie hits the hyperdrive
More please
I'm thinking it's legit for Carroll to have signed it.
No tilt wheel?
Wish he would rev match when down shifting
Yep, can't heel-toe...
Sorry I didn't drive my GT40 to your guys standard.
I know that clutch is expensive and doing that is gonna kill it quick.
@@willpollard7073 Not if it's done right.
Oh man that sound ! that sound !!! beautiful melody ^^
If I pulled outta my driveway in that monster in my little town???🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The local law enforcement would nail me for noise ordinance immediately.
Makes me so happy to see. A non-asshole owner who actually drives it!
Gt40’s would go 230 mph in testing at Le Mans with 60’s technology. 😊
Wow just fucking wow 👌🏼
What a lucky fella 👍
biggest rush when someone complements your car.
That feeling when you love jumping in your car, it's awesome!
Shaun from Autotopia send me) Love the GT 40 and the Cobra R.
アメリカ人は、人生を楽しむ天才だね。
安全運転で、楽しんでください(^o^)b
Dogleg 5 speed?
Yessir
That ride would probably cost 17.000 dollars now.
Don't you just hate it when 3rd gear is too fast for the freeway ? I love the sound on my BIG speakers ! Crank it up
Please learn how to drive before you beat this beautiful car to a pulp. 👎🏼👎🏼
You’re outta CLT, I’ve seen this car in the streets in person. Excellent video!
I love an unrefined Raws supercar that's my favorite
Very wicked sounding GT!!
I know it's not, but this is how I imagine what being in a spaceship feels like
😂😂 that's pretty much how it feels, just a really old rickety spaceship
How much did you pay for it I've seen some for 50k
Sweet!
Happyness is a 4spd behind a highperformence V8.
Ah ....the Ford GT40......the great American (it's actually a British) Supercar.......I can't believe that Ford take any credit for it......it's just Grand Theft Auto!
Seems sacrilege to see it left hand drive, should be RHD.
This is my dream muscle but I thought the gearstick was on the left ?
Должно быть скучно ездить на этой машине по дорогам общественного пользования!(((
If I could have any car in the world it would be a GT40.
Wish I was the passenger 😂
Thatsbad @zz.
What a rush to take that beauty on a cruise down the road.
Sweet.
at least you drive this car. most people let cars like this sit. good on ya for not letting it be a pavement princess.
Gosh I love this machine. Cmon longer than 2mins tho 🙌🏽,
Shame I will never be able to drive any GT40 in my lifetime.
Be even better with a side oiler real 427.
Like yours?
@@wilburpost7977 It's nice and all but what made the MKII unique was the FE 427. If you want it to appear more authentic, you run one of those, not a fancy 351W. Which by the way my 71 Mach 1 carries a more potent 351SVO. If you want to make this car right, go see Holman Moody and have them put together a 427 for it or Survival Motorsports. And yes my 351SVO makes more power. It is a slightly detuned early 90's NASCAR engine complete with Roush designed and not legal for NASCAR C302B heads (thanks to Ernie Elliot scaring the crap out of Bill France with them in the late 80s) Same heads on a Roush built 310 with more compression and cam makes 710hp. Mine is a streetable 10.5:1 and my solid roller cam is a bit smaller. So yea I built my own super touring car that is very capable but not an out of the box kit that you just add money to get. My engine in that car would make it quite a bit faster. So there for your snide remark.
@@kblackav8or Roush makes some really cool FE blocks in aluminum. If I owned that car, that's what I'd use. The actual Ford Dearborn Engine/EMDO FE is too heavy, IMO. For some reason (possibly cost) people usually install a bored and stroked 350, which is a shame.
It's no Prius but it's ok.
