Did you see the conductor open up the vestibule on the 3rd coach to see if anyone was watching / rail fanning there? Right after they passed the viewing area, they closed it back up. The conductor obviously cared enough to know they were coming up to the Horseshoe Curve viewing area, I bet they were bummed out that no one was there...
Andrew Silva Those are called “B units”. Simply put they are locomotives without cabs. They must be coupled to an “A unit” (a locomotive with a cab) to move
If your talking about the NS train, its also engines, its an A-B-B-A engine set up. The NS engines are F9's which are stronger than the F7's and the 2 cars in the middle I.E. the B units are also engines, and the B units are F7's.
