When you download ROMs what format do they need to be when downloading onto a memory card please
How much internal storage left when odin first arrive? and I heard that latest Drastic app can't play DS game from microSD is this true? (need to add ds game to internal storage)
Where do you get the ISO for games from? every rom I have for my anbernic rg35xx never had an ISO file. only SFC or SMC file

When you download games can you add them to an SD card in Zip file format or would that not work ?

Just if you ever run out of content for Odin, if you can get fightcade working on it please do a video. I feel like allot of fighting game fans would love that. I know fightcade runs on windows, Linux and Mac.
My Odin Pro shipped today, I need to start dumping all my games from my vast collection of games and systems.

really great video =D will help me alot when i get my own odin in the future. i play with emulation on android since android 4.2 but everytime im limited to my samsung exynos cpu. played zelda oot n64 on a samsung galaxy s2 =D

Standard one from Wallpaper Engine.
can I run roms without retroarch..? like a mobile phone? so complicated to use...
I know it can be frustrating but take it one step at a time. It took me a solid month taking my time with each emulator and getting their bios and downloading their games. After a month I finally felt that my system was ready to play. Lots of trial and error and downloads but now I love my device

Like a lot of people, I am still waiting for my Odin to arrive.
I'd like to save time by preparing my SD card now, adding all my game ROMs & files from my PC so I am good to go later.
Is it ok to do this, or is it important to follow what you did in the video and allow the Odin to format the card first before adding stuff to it?

@@Techcravers mapping the right analog stick to move correctly or both if there's a specific setting. I been trying to play CoD & Genshin but i can't really use the right stick because it moves weirdly like it moves to 1 direction instead of multiple, like if the right stick was the left i wouldn't be able to do a fireball or moves that requires multiple directions movements. Its probably some sensitivity adjustment that needs to be done but i just don't know where to find said setting or what the parameters are for those.
When you say “isos” what is that and what do you mean? I’m Looking into buying a pro and already have all of my emails and games saved on the PC
Hey! Depends on where you meant but I siad isos in one part of the video where I meant “bios”. Which is a file that you need for a few of the emulators.

Yes you med BIOS files for some systems (PS2 emulation is one of them).

Awesome vid!! Question though, I just want to use the Odin for Retro Emulation. Can you set Launchbox as your default launcher? I just want to turn on my Odin and have it boot right into a frontend. If Launchbox can't do it, are there any other retro front ends that can? Thank you!
Hey man, thanks for commenting! You can't use it as the default launcher since it's an app not a OS. But if you put the Odin in sleep mode it will take you straight to launchbox when you wake it up.
You can do that with Pegasus frontend. Looks pretty nice with GameOS theme and the front-end is 100% free :)
hi... thank you for making this video... i am old... i wanted to play some of the old games i used to play when i was a kid.... i want to buy this handheld (ODIN PRO)... but i have no idea where to buy it? i have no idea who makes it? i have no idea how long it will take for it to arrive... months ? years? days? .. i need help.... i cant find any information... i am not computer smart... i know someone who is willing to set up the system ... i had them watch this video and they know how to do all the stuff you were teaching in it... anyway please help me... Hey! Thank you for your comment! First off, what type of "old games" are you looking to play? There are other "easier to get" devices that runs N64 and older systems fairly easy. However, if you have decided that the Odin Pro is the handheld you want, there are two options. The first is to go to their IndieGoGo site and back the project. That means you pay for the device now, then they'll make it and ship it to you. It's safe, but it will probably take a few months before you get it (covid and semiconductor shortage have delayed the manufacuring). The other way is to keep waiting until AYN releases the Odin Pro at their retail shop (website) later this summer/fall.
Then when you finally get the device you can simply let someone help you with the setup, perhaps by folowing this video :)

@@Techcravers thanks i do want the odin pro... i have someone to set it up... the reason i want it is cuz it supports everything from atari to ps2.... thats my range ... most handhelds i have been researching only support up to ps1 and that is just not good enough... from ps1 to ps2 is a huge leap in the advancement of games... i will mostly play NES and ps2... and few atari, snes, N64... thats it.... thank you so much for responding to my contact.... i means a lot to me that you would take the time to help out an old gamer... i grew up on these systems.. and i would like to have a set up so i can play on the go...
@@SCROTUMLORD Yeah well you seem to know what you want :) I'd say the Odin Pro is what you're looking for! The Steam Deck (which I'm currently testing) will play PS2 games much better, but it won't be as portable as the AYN Odin Pro.

You probably want to start clean and install your own emulators from scratch. Much have happens since the device was released.

To anyone thinking about getting an odin or loki....dont!!! Ayn just screwed me over bad. Customer service is horrible and rude. Can't keep shipping dates because there only putting out 50 to zero a day. Take my advice and stay away from AYN!!!!!
