tip: open the can from upside down. that way you can just pour the water out and scoop out the coconut milk more easily ;)
I meant to do that and then I already started opening the can the right way up haha Surprisingly it was still really easy to scoop out without mixing with the water.
HealthNutNutrition hahahahahahaha classic. I do it all the time
Laura Biscaro
+Laura Biscaro good idea for the can (unless you have rounded bottoms lime me :( )
can you do it with regular milk
Wth,are y'all blind? When she said she was going to use honey she also said you could use agave or maple syrup if you're a vegan, she just didn't have any on hand. And why tf are some of you calling her out as fake vegan? She never said she was a vegan.Instead of thanking her for sharing this recipe with you guys you just criticise her for being a "fake".

I never really got why honey isn’t vegan. I understand why now because of the animal exploitation but if you get your honey from a humane source or an actual bee keeper... it’s vegan.
@Winnie she said "I'M using honey" and on the screen said you can use Maple syrup. Don't try to twist the truth because you felt like being an ass to someone's 2 year old comment.
thatgirl Actual bees keepers are the one doing the exploitation though...
Attilio Russo I meant from a local source, but when it’s mass produced there’s more exploitation but that’s due to the laws that aren’t even there to begin with to protect bees.
If you can’t get the coconut milk to thicken up, just seperate it from the water the best you can. Your final mixture will be thin at first, but the next day after putting it in the fridge, you can pour the bit of water that will be at the top of your container out, and then shake it with the lid on. It will get thicker I promise!
At trader joes you can get a full can of coconut cream, no water or hoping the can has enough cream
I bought Trader Joe’s canned coconut. It was very gooey and goopy.
Loved this video! It's really great for me because i'm lactose intolerent.
Dylan Friedenberg oh that is perfect!
I love this on coffee, I use sugar or coconut sugar.
oh yum!
Exactly what I have been looking for. Racked my brain today trying to think of a way to do this without eggs and sugar. This looks fabulous...note to self...do NOT use egg replacer as a whipped cream option.
scrapper900 so happy I could help!
I can't eat coconut, but did a variant of this with canned garbanzo bean juice, cream of tartar, cane sugar or agave and vanilla. Came out more meringue like and a little too sweet for me, but was delicious. I've also seen similar recipe with no cream of tartar but chef used powdered sugar instead. So, can easily be made vegan.
Coconut milk is life. Its so good. It might taste way better than non vegan whipped cream.
You can also use vanilla syrup! That’s what Starbucks uses for there whip
Thanks so much for this! I want to convert a peanut butter pie to a vegan peanut butter pie and this will help.
Ooo, I think I may put this on an acai breakfast bowl sometime soon. Looks delicious!
***** I like the way you think haha
As tradition in the Caribbean we normally mix the water and fat together. its ok to do that :-)...then put it in a glass jar and refrigerate :-)
I have a dairy allergy and this helped a lot!
So excited to try this for Thanksgiving! Thanks for the delicious tip.
Would be great on pumpkin pie ;) Even though Im the only one in my family who doesn't like it I know its very popular haha
Looks amazing! I wonder if you could add cocoa powder.
Linda Gonzalez I love that idea!
Clear and simple recipe but not noticing very many comments on how it tastes.
It is vanilla, coconut and honey. How bad can it taste?
Wondering the same thing, guess it's not tasting like whipped cream.
I love your videos! It has helped me so much!
Perfect timing! I have been craving hot chocolate. It looks amazing. If you keep it in the fridge does it stay whippy (lol not a word) or does it harden?
It firms up a bit but too be honest it never really lasts too long in the fridge for me since I eat it right up! haha
It looks so amazing I will try it today
*spongebob meme* @ all the vegans screaming "honey isn't vegan!"
You might want to slow down the mixer when adding ingredients lol
Literally just love it
I swear this song is many recipe videos XD
I made it yesterday it was great
I can't wait to try it
Kathy P :) keep me posted
i loved it!! please make more vegan recipies... you should consider going vegan yourself!
If you are using the coconut fat wouldn't that be the same as just using virgin coconut oil which solidifies below 75 degrees?
No because it contains the coconut meat as well which is why it's white :)
gr8 alternative. thankyou will do this today.
Couldn't you use coconut cream rathee than coconut milk to elminate having to deal with thr liquid? I always by both (milk and cream).
I loved the video! I have one question though, does this taste a lot like coconut ? Thankss
great question! It actually doesn't have a strong coconut flavour. You taste a lot of the vanilla extract and just an overall creamy flavour like actual whipped cream. In my opinion anyways :)
Tysm u saved my life
Doesnt hold up in hotter temperatures. You will need to stabilize it with agar or gum.
Asian Markets carries Coconut Cream in carton containers or cans which will make ur life easier instead of waiting overnight
Love it! New in the fridge must!
Aw yay!
can you substitute the coconut milk for yogurt ?
Owsm...... Tank U.... this is wot I was looking 4ward
Just what i was looking for, thank's. 👍
i've used five cans i frige overnight but its never solid, also did you open it from the bottom am i suppose to have it upside down in the fridge
I've put my coconut milk for like 7 hours do you think it's enough for me to make my vegan whipped cream? Or is mandatory to leave it overnight?
I couldn’t figure out why I had small clumps in mine , I whipped for an additional 3 min to see it would help. It did not
So I left my coconut milk in the fridge overnight but when I opened the can, the cream didn't separate from the water. What am I doing wrong?
@@varshinikunderu1834 no, but I found the problem. The coconut milk had other additives which diluted it. So I tried another brand with higher fat content containing just 2 ingredients; coconut extract and water. Worked like a charm.
But this will have coconut flavour right?
Can you use regular sugar for this instead of honey.
Also how many cups of coconut creme was there I know another way of making vegan cream and I want to know how much I need to make
ah yes vegan cream with honey my favourite
Can I use a can of light coconut milk? That's all I have at home
Cant wait to give it a try. I m ur friend now. Stay connected, healthy and happy always. Love from Malaysia.
Which one I should coconut milk or coconut cream? Thanks!
cream
Great! Can you make mousse cake or pipe flowers with it?
Does it taste like coconut? It seems silly but I don't like coconut milk.
lovely i will definetly try it out
Claudian Fevrier I just want to put it on everything lately haha
Will I be able to find this coconut fat if I make a homemade coconut milk? please I need a reply.
Do you happen to know how many calories in a tablespoon
Is this still possible with regular coconut milk?
I would like to use this as a topping for cupcakes. How much does one recipe make?
T Woods I feel like it makes 2 cups or just under. I havent actually measured it out before. I would have an extra can of coconut milk in the fridge as back up in case you need more for your cupcakes.
USE THE WATER IN A SMOOTHIE OR SOMETHING! Don't throw it out!
does it really have to be full fat coconut milk? (im not vegan)
Do you have to use coconut milk
Can you mix this with Elmlea plant based cream??
I tried this but got a runny texture, do you have any explanation?
Can you use oat milk instead
Love it!!!
KeylishTV thanx
why not peace the bottom of the can to drain away the fluid
My chilled, full fat coconut didn't whip up. I added powdered sugar and vanilla right away and it was just a clumpy mess. No amount of whipping altered it. What did I do wrong?
+KMG68 sometimes its the brand but most should whip up. Try the Thai Kicthen brand and maybe dont add powdered sugar as it might of weighed it down..
does it have a strong coconut taste?
Can´t wait to try it!
Sircaboo CI soo good! I always keep a couple cans of coconut milk in the fridge so i can make this anytime :)
HealthNutNutrition I already bought it! :)
does it work with homemade coconut milk? will it separate?
You need the can version
How would you store it and how long?
Can you freeze this ?
what size of a can of coconut milk
You can also use aquafaba
Aquafaba is not stable. It will not stay firm for long.
I keep my coconut milk cans in the fridge and they're always liquid. I tried whipping it once and nothing happened. Perhaps she put it in the freezer? (Or I there is the wrong brand of coconut milk in my country?)
Does your coconut milk brand contain stablizer, such as guar gum? If so the product will not separate.
@@karireyes7603 Yesssss! It is an imported brand called "American Green" and the ingredients list names more than one stabilisers. Unfortunately, it's currently the only brand I can find in my country (I live in Iran).
@@donyab.e4767 can I send you some?
@@karireyes7603 I wish it was possible 😅
But, you know what? Maybe I should try and make it myself. 😊 I'll tell you if I succeed 😊
@@karireyes7603 UPDATE: I made it myself and I now make my own coconut cream (as well as every plant based milk I like) 😍
And, YES! It is ZERO WASTE!
Followed recipe exactly and mine is not fluffy. Very heavy and still pourable ☹️
"This will take 4 minutes!"
"Now go ahead and out this in the fridge overnight"
😑😑😑😑
Four minutes to make. Any cook will tell you prep time for items is not the same as making time/ cooking time.
Can I use this on cakes?
Does this taste like coconut?
can you make that in a blender????
GoRaw GoVegan Maybe.. I haven't tried
how much whipped cream did this end up making for you?
hi, can i have this coconut cream for mousse cake,
uhm,i am not vegan, but i think this "whip cream" is great..
+Idjo Anis you could def use this on or in a mouse :)
woooow 😍 love it thank you
I refrigerated mine overnight but it still came out as milk...? Did I do something wrong??
did you use coconut cream?
did you use coconut cream?
+Serrah no it said coconut milk
+MayMay Hastings I know she says milk in the recipe but I'm sure she means coconut cream.
+MayMay Hastings I know she says milk in the recipe but I'm sure she means coconut cream.
thank u for sharing
Ugh! My cans had very little fat after chillin in the fridge for 4 days!
Were they low fat? You need regular :)
Nope it was full fat regular.
Sometimes it depends on the brand that you buy but Thai kitchen is one of the best brands to buy
+Rob OBrien
You need to get the cans of coconut milk with no added guar gum which keeps it from separating.
If I use it to decorate a cake o cupcakes how long is gonna looks good on it?
+beatriz fernandez I would decorate within a couple hours of serving and if its hot in your house just stick them in the fridge
Isnt this like extra big dangerous amount of fat to consume ?
I thought if you put cans in the fridge was poisoness
Honey isn't vegan
Yes I know which is why I stated that in the video.
basic trash oh stop crying.WHO CARES!!!!! It's fine. I am a vegan myself and I am not in the absolute bothered.
Technically it isn't vegan, because bees produce honey, and need to keep it to provide nourishment for themselves. I don't think there are any health benefits from avoiding honey, but it isn't vegan :p
Basic Trash
She may have used clover honey.:)
Seriously. The first ingredient you mention isn't vegan. Label this plant-based.
Mmmmm so in love with maple syrup. This would go perfectly well with my Guilt Free Chocolate Dessert recipe which I've uploaded recently, hope you can check it out :)
Sounds yummy! Ill check it out :)
Thanks very much! :)
Tried twice. Just unusable chunks of coconut cream in the bottom of the mixer. Never turns to cream not matter what speed or time. I suspect addl ingredient in North American canned coconut milk that allowed this to take place. Back to my black coffee.
how important is the vanilla axtract cuz I dont have any
You can make it without!
@@HealthNutNutrition thanks
it's so good :)!!
i had my milk in for 16 hrs and it was not solid, thus is the second time i tried this whats wrong
Perhaps the fat content is too low. Check the nutrituinal information to make sure it has a high fat content. I guess it should be at around 18 grams per 100 grams of milk. I hope this reactio will be of any use, since you asked it 3 yars ago, but yeah
i used this recipe following the directions perfectly... and it was flat only froth liquid... need i say more? not to hate but i used the cream and it was... liquid-y. anyone else with the same stories?
But it won’t be vegan if it’s have homey ???
Did exactly what she said twice. Two different brands and it’s not working
can you use ordinary milk???
no because it wouldnt be thick enough. if youre going to use a dairy product, use heavy whipping cream.
Calories?
Thank you so much I thought I would die bc I can't eat dairy
great! :-)
Im confused... Vegan dont eat Honey..
Disappointed... NOT VEGAN :( please change the title so people are not mislead .
