On my Finnair A350 business class flight from HEL-BKK I received absolutely wonderful service. I was very well looked after. Before pushback I was even given permission to go into the cockpit to take photos. It was one of my most enjoyable business class flights to date.
It's very unusual for anyone to have a bad encounter with Finnair. I've used them twice for business class flights to Bangkok and they've been exceptional both times.
I can only comment on my own experience, but it seems quite a few of the others who have commented on this video disagree with you 😂 Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Hey, as a frequent flier with Finnair, this is something that I have never heard of before, well maybe once or twice. Finnair usually operates the perfect flights, with the most nicest crew from any airline from my experience. I've taken around 20-30 flights with Finnair, around 8 in Business Class and 2 in Premium Economy, all have been exceptionally good especially in the long haul economy. Been flying all around to Phuket Thailand, JFK USA, etc. Most likely an exhausted crew member, who should not have performed actions like this. Quite surely you have been unlucky in terms of the crew & experience, but the plane is your luck.
Sure. I doubt that this is the typical experience- but I can only comment on what happened to me ☺️ As for the plane, the A350 flies this route daily during the summer and fall… and was the only reason I was in Helsinki to begin with haha. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft Usually it is the A330 in my time with the Marimekko-livery. I'd recommend for you to take a brand new review, as well as Finnair's European Business Class is not worth it in my opinion due to the meals, and full options & flights
I love the "flight from Hel" pun. I once flew from Mumbai to Dehradun and that ticket read Bom - Ded. Not something you want to read, when you're boarding a plane! lol.
Before travelling anywhere, I get honest reviews from people like you. I was going to fly to HEL next month on Finair, but thanks to you, I’m avoiding them and going on the tried and true Singapore Airlines.
I've only flown Finnair business twice, a couple of years ago, from Dubai to HEL and HEL to London (on an A350), and wasn't impressed. The flight from Dubai left after midnight, but dinner wasn't served for two hours, and was then very bad (a fatty, tasteless chicken 'curry'). On the London leg, service - which was pretty perfunctory anyway, although the food was good - was stopped almost an hour and a half before touchdown. The crews weren't bad, exactly, but the flights were by no means full and I just got the impression that they didn't care very much. But I will be trying them again - with the new seats - from HEL to JFK next August. So I'm hoping for better things. And I do really like the design touches. Thanks again for your priceless content. You are the most reliable and informative, as well as one of the most amusing, of all the flight reviewers.
Hey Kevin! Love your videos and I am sure you are well on your way to becoming one of the Aviation stars of RUclips 👍🤩 Keep up the great reviews, they are a pleasure to watch 😊
It only takes one person to spoil everything. They could have been on a power trip. Best way is to write a letter to Finnair with details of the flight so official feedback can be provided to that individual. They might have then had a counselling or official warning to be polite and they represent the business of Finnair
@@tfft something more formal I was suggesting in writing with a letter is more weight i would say because you can address direct to a company and you may get some points or the likes. I did that once with a certain airline experience and they offered me lots of air miles, plus a written letter of apology and wished for me to fly them for years to come. Hope you receive some good feedback with regards to the staff in question.
I love your reviews and especially this one. You report facts as you experienced them, devoid of whining, whinging or bias. This is good, mature reporting which leaves us to consider the facts and make up our own minds. You are a rarity among trip reporters. Keep up the excellent work!
I have been on probably more than 20 long haul flights in bizz with finnair. I can say i have definitly had individuals/crews that were not particular great. But i will also say MOST of the time they are amazing! Even the local crews from SIN are truly great. Bad luck for you on this one. The review was great.
@@tfft Oh yes, the love for Finnair is big in many, me included. But again, what you describe is absolutely in the cards with some individuals at Finnair.
Honestly, very unusual individual on Finnair. I travel quite often with them and consider the trip quite comforting. To me, Finnair doesnt have that over the top service, nor the stiff professionalism of a crew that wants to win something. They keep it simple and casual and I appreciate that a lot as it makes me feel relaxed. Hope you have a much better experience with Finnair if you ever travel with them again
If you think that's cool, check out my Japan Airlines 777 Flight from Tokyo to JFK on the channel. A full on mini tornado was created! Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🎉
Good for you, Buddy! You are being real and honest with yourself. Often times, we can be driven by emotion, nevertheless, the best way is to stay objective and logic. Thank you, Kevin.
Flew Finnair DC-8 in 1972 to New York from Amsterdam and DC-10. Was OK. My mother in the 60s flew their Caravelle from Paris to Amsterdam. Raved about them and always chose them over KLM or Air France. I flew last summer on their A330 from New York to Stockholm in Business and liked it. However their seats are not automatic lie flat beds so you need to do some gymnastics to get down and up. Harder for old folks but perfectly fine. Food was good. Crew were nice but reserved.
Flew LHR-HEL-SIN some time back. HEL-SIN leg was delayed from the original 0100hrs to 0530. They closed the lounge at 00:00 and kicked everyone out. That was fun. Flight and crew was otherwise excellent.
It seems like you were unlucky, on all my Finnair flights the crew have been very friendly and great in every way. Yeah, the Schengen HEL lounge is out of date, the Non-Schengen one is very pleasent tho. I hope it get's upgraded along with the renovation taking place right after security, or at least soon after.
Sure, I’m sure I was unlucky- I doubt this is the “normal” FINNAIR experience, but all I can write about is my own little experience. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I love your videos, especially your hotel reviews! Sorry to hear about bad Finnair experience, their crew is usually very friendly and professional... Flying to Bangkok with Finnair early next year to experience their new business class.
I’m sure 99% of their crew is great. One bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch, but I can only report on what happened on my trip. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
That's too bad. I usually prefer Finnair always over SAS when flying out of Stockholm. Flown +50 times with them and outside of couple of times always had good to great service. Their A350 are not anymore the shiniest planes just due time, but they are just upgrading all of their business seats at the moment. Haven't yet managed to test them myself.
Glad you stuck to your scores with this experience. Just watched Rory Ding's trip to Egypt and he had an interesting time with the local police liberating excess paper from his wallet before boarding. He is too nice, I can imagine your response Keep up the good work. I'll be in 2024 soon with your flights !
I don't want people f-king with the windows either. Maybe you can attach and remove a suction cup carefully, but a lot of people are just clumsy and have no concept for where delicacy matters. Also, your suction cup will leave a ring on the plexiglass. Someone has to clean that, and it won't wipe off as easily as a regular smudge will.
This I completely understand. I know how careful I am, but I cannot expect everyone else to know as well. That said, I do always carry around a microfiber cloth to clean the window before and after mounting/shooting 🙃 But that’s just me haha. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Dear Kevin, my apologies: that purser was not up to her job. At least servicewise. In Finland we tend to overemphasize the rules, including the safety rules. That built in to the Finnish culture. From era the country ws part of Russia. Bureaucrazy comes from there. I m not proud of that as Finn, but... Only time and future generations will change it. Slowly but surely. But in spite of that, securewise and in accuracy Finnair is among the best airlines. Or was. Haha.
I get that (and certainly no need for you to apologize 😉). For such a strict airline, I just can’t understand why the first Flight Attendant (who I’d guess had been on the job for 30+ years) was so nice and encouraging for what I was doing, only to be followed up by the by the book purser. Oh well, things happen. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
“Because saving $20 at a nearby hotel that would have cost me an hour of sleep” SO TRUE. I don’t understand people who do this. I was flying United in January, our flight got cancelled after being delayed for 7 hours (it was now midnight) and flight wasn’t gonna leave until 0600 now. United put us in a hotel for free- it was a shuttle ride away 1/2 hour) we went downstairs though the homeless encampment in the terminal to try to find the shuttle (which low and behold stopped running at 1200 midnight) and poof! There was a Hilton there across the street. Yea, I got raped on the rate,…..but whatever. Got there in 90 seconds, and was in my room in 3 minutes. Sometimes you gotta just choose your sanity vs saving a buck in an unfortunate event.
I've never flown Finnair but I've seen other videos and I've been to Finland. I'n not surprised that, except for the purser, everything went predictably well. Finns are friendly but not excitable people - they follow the rules, but it seems that the purser had some of her own. Finland is not an exciting country, but it has a quiet beauty and everything is clean - except for your plane.
Sometimes you just get unlucky with a cranky crew member. I try to not let it bother me as it doesnt happen that often. Had one on Qantas. She obviously wanted to be anywhere else. Yet I've had some awesome ones on there too. Had one awesome male cabin crew guy, who was having the day from hell. Yet he still smiled as was gorgeous. Crankiest one I have had was an old girl, and yes I'm old, on AA on a flight to Vegas. Snarling at passengers. Telling passengers to shut up. I just looked on in disbelief. But hey, I have days at work I would love to tell my work colleagues to shut up lol
@@tfft Wasn’t clear how long your stay was so understand. Also nice thing about HEL is the rail link getting you into the city in about a half hour. And a Holiday Inn or Radisson Blu (or is it Red?) adjacent to the station. Also, agree the European lounge is disappointing but the international is one of the best. The other attraction of flying Finnair is the blueberry juice!
FA here! You’d be surprised how many windows break due to those damn suction cups. As a rule of thumb never attach anything on the aircraft components. Sure the crew member shouldve been nicer with her approach but i get where shes coming from
I’ve had a bad encounter with them - I preordered the reindeer meal a few years ago on a HEL-SIN route and they served it to someone else and then made a big stink when I mentioned it had been preordered. The purser was extremely rude. Nice hard product through and I slept well after visiting the sauna at the lounge.
Hey... That's exactly like my experience on AY. one year ago in November 2021 I was flown HEL BKK and the cabin crew went to me shortly before holding point of the rwy.i switched the camera out from the window and filmed by my hands. Crazy
Wow…..as an ex flight attendant, this was painful to watch…. Maybe cabin staff training (at any airline!) could use this video how to NOT treat passengers! She sounded more suitable as a bootcamp trainer than someone who should be in the hospitality business! Mostly it is the crew making up for sub standard hard product, but in this case, it seemed the other way around. I’m not sure whether I would be as fair as you, handing out this score, but this shows even more how unbiased and trustworthy your channel is. Thank you for all that you do 🙏🏼
I need to keep the scoring balanced so that I have room to go lower… like on the Gulf Air flight I just finished editing which got the lowest score I’ve ever given 😂. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Seems like you are with me, and continue filming regardless. I have been told by random crews that video recording and even pictures are not allowed... never quite understood why if my connecting flight an hour ago could. But I never argue as I don't want to be thrown out of the plane for arguing with a crew member.
I research (as best I can, it's not always clear) whether an airline or a country I'm in has regulations concerning filming in anyway that could effect my production and at the end of the day, those are the rules I follow. The purser on this flight lost me when she told me I was not even allowed to film the take off while holding my phone by hand, their IFE has a slide that cycles through specifically stating you're allowed to use non-transmitting phones at all times during the flight. I make reasonable accommodations for reasonable requests. But, if they're on a power trip that is above and beyond their company's policy, then I'm going to go on my merry way (discreetly). Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Wow. Clearly communication skills are not required to become a purser for Finnair! Glad you out her in her place haha. At least the hard product looks great though!
Yah it was still a great little flight and a good Avios redemption. I’m almost glad I didn’t get the new seat so she didn’t ruin that experience for me haha. Still very much looking forward to trying it out someday. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I have been frequently flying Finnair from different parts of the globe for almost 30 years. Can't say I ever experienced any crankiness, not on board and not in Finland herself. Quite the opposite. You must have caught them on their "national bad day" perhaps,,,
A great report telling it like it is! I'd have had great time with that Purser. Finnair should be proud of her. Maybe she should take a minute to listen to the PA and pick up a few tips before attacking passengers. It's possible to show someone that you know that they're an a-hole without breaking any rules that may attract official attention after landing. Speak in a normal voice, don't raise your voice, just talk. It has worked for me on many a flight with a jobsworth- KLM and American Airlines were favourites. A strategically placed recording device helps - in case off crew selective memory. But, sadly, I won't meet this shining light of a purser as Finnair has joined the rising number of airlines that don't have window seats in Business Class.
You did exclude a few facts. We’ll simply mention your lounge experience was the single lounge for Finnair in the Schengen Area of the departure gates serving Europe. It was not “The Finnair Lounge” but rather one of three. Their Non-Schengen Area Lounge is very large, has much better offerings, and is a pleasure to experience. Their Platinum Wing Lounge next door is even nicer with table service, a menu, a lovely bar, and yes… a sauna.
Of course, I never said this was the only lounge in the airport, but the lounge you speak of was not available for me, so why would I include it? Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft Love your product. This is not really a criticism of what you said but rather a comment regarding what you did not say. As a world traveler myself, I find it both important and helpful to understand certain nuances. Yes, HEL is a really nice airport. There is no doubt about that. And the style, design, and Nordic flavor is very evident. But, adding the information that “I am flying to Amsterdam and I am restricted to the Schengen terminal area. The lounge serving this area is….XYZ… The Non-Schengen Terminal area has additional Finnair lounges that are .” To me, this gives the viewer a more complete view of what their experience could be at HEL. Your video is what your experience could be… if you are traveling in the Schengen region of Europe. Meanwhile, others are saying their experience is quite different - and some of them were not flying from the Schengen restricted area. And I can attest to my version - I find the Long Haul Finnair experience to be “efficient.” Not particularly “warm.” Friendly enough (and these are flights in/out of the US and Helsinki in/out of Asia). Their airport experience is much better than average to exceptional. In the Non-Schengen lounges, the food offering on the Business Lounge side is a bit lacking but plentiful, the Platinum Wing (if you have access) is quite lovely, has a much more diverse food offering, and… because, you know… there’s a freaking sauna!!! Please travel safely and keep up the high quality content. Peace.
Maybe I was lucky, but I was allowed to record with my window mounted GoPro on a couple of AY flights - albeit back in 2019. My worst experience was on AA from PHX to PHL earlier that year. I was getting ready to get suction mount my GoPro to the window when I saw the cabin manager watching me (was in row 1, so in plain view). I foolishly asked him if it was okay, and he said that he'd check with the captain. He came back and said that it was against TSA rules. I told him that I'd never been challenged on AA or on any other US carrier, but he persisted and said that the rules had been changed in the last day or so. I doubted this, as it was Easter Sunday, but didn't use the suction mount - I did, however, record the take off and landing handheld. I checked the TSA website when we got to PHL and there was nothing about it it - confirming that he'd simply lied to me, but it was done in a good mannered way, I suppose, unlike your experience!
Yes, had a very similar experience on Gulf Air last month when the purser told me to take it down and that it was illegal to film- as regulated by the local airport authority (Bangkok). Obviously he was full of it, but I generally prefer not to get arrested when flying and this was already my third problem with this purser within 30 mins, so I went handheld as well haha. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I like your episodes very much! Followed / Subscribed to you after seeing the reports in India! :) I always thought to do this on Finnair! But looks like it is not worth it ;)
I have been told only once on AY not to take photos, and that was actually only not taking photos of other passengers. I asked why, it was for "privacy". Agreed to delete a photo of a friend.
I can understand (don’t agree, just understand) airline staff not liking a content creator filming extensively… but asking a regular passenger to to delete a photo of their friend should be a fireable offense.
Gee it is ashame that so far you have over 43 K viewers BUT ONLY 27.3 K SUBBYS C'mon Guys,,,,,this channel deserves soooooooo many more Subbies considering all the work and behind the scenes that is carried out.....Please help this channel ...... F. Y. I. I am not a friend or family member.....THANK YOU KEVIN For your channel
Perhaps you only take out the phone and start shooting when all the crews are prepared for take off or landing. Then no one will bother you filming. Btw, do they not allow you to film when the flight is stable after take off?
The seat is comfy. I used it on many airlines already. The rest is so plain Jane... The earphones 😂😂👍 Economy class breakfast 👹😱😱Qatar and Emirates offer much better service and F&B in Y class.
I have flown Finnair about 50 times, short haul and long haul, in economy and business, with status and without. Customer service has been amazing on all levels. I share Nonstop Dans views of Finnair from his youtube video, The Truth About Europe's BEST Business Class. Quote: Not only my favourite airline in Europe, but one of my favorite airlines in the world! Sums up Finnair perfectly! As Dan, I higly recommend Finnair! 😊
Nonstop Dan may very well be correct, but that doesn’t make my experience any less valid. I’m sure Finnair is a wonderful airline, but they weren’t on this particular day on my particular flight. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft I am not denying you had a bad experience on your flight, just saying, like many in the comments here, it's an highly unusual experience to have with Finnair. Like I said, my opinion is based on about 50 flights with Finnair,, that has to count for something as far as what kind of service they deliver, right?
Oh how l needed a good laugh today and Kevin you never disappoint!! How some Airline reviewers manage to "polish a turd" is beyond me, sometimes you just get bad service or have a bad experience and Airlines SHOULD be called out on this simply because there is ALWAYS room for improvement 👍
Yeah you know it’s funny… the more I lean into the “honesty” narrative (just talking about it more… I was always honest lol) the more I realize how few people really do it. There are some of course- Nonstop Dan & Wingin It Paul Lucas I think are two good examples… but the majority of channels nicely fit into one of three categories: 1. “I flew Emirates and it changed my life…” 2. “Why does every airline suck?” 3. “I FLEW A CRAPPY LITTLE AIRLINE THAT YOUVE NEVER HEARD OF AND I DIDN’T DIE!!!” Sorry, idk where this reply is going 😂. But I know you know what I mean and I’m thankful for viewers like you who appreciate straight to the point honesty.
Oooooh!,,,,,,,,,AaaaaaH!......Oh!. Man.O.Man. YOU CRACKED ME UP ''''' BIG ''''' TIME L.M.F.A.O ===== '''''' POLISH A TURD ''''' WHAT A CLASSIC SAYING.....TY,,,,,
Wow !! Just wow. I’m in the middle of a big booking & couldn’t decide on a minor stop which would decide fin or change my route slightly to fly elsewhere- this straightforward review just helped me decide. I don’t take that when you were being polite. Poor form Finnair
Tbh i don’t understand why so many comments point this out. Regardless of how many lounges there are in the entirety of the airport, there is only one lounge available for Schengen flights- and that’s where I went.
Finnair sh**ted on us several years back. They were rigid and cold as ice. I never thought I'd say this, but I think some of the US carriers are better than most of the euro airlines. the only thing that distinguishes the non-US airlines is a feeling of calmness, less stressful.
I’m not sure If The Purser in question was in the “experienced” category but speaking to you in that manner is inexcusable, perhaps she needs to be made aware of it in a letter to the company - having flown the carrier multiple times long haul I have generally found crew amenable - nice review
I have just flown Finnair - return trips from London Heathrow to Ivalo via Helsinki and have nothing but admiration for the Airline and its crew. Perhaps you are one person who always invite problems!
Jaya, that's rather presumptuous. The reviewer clearly doesn't invite trouble because if he did, the other seasoned FA who made the "cool" comment to him would not have been so sweet and friendly. Unfortunately, I think this gentleman got someone who was cranky and very aggressive, which is probably not reflective of what most people experience on this airline.
It's not really about others having a great experience with Finnair, it's about the one time, one individual is set on being over authoritarian. In customer service, it's not so much what you say, it's how you say it. She was clearly on a power trip and needs to be removed or retrained. No excuse for rudeness or disrespect.
I totally agree. As I've said many times, a trip report is a report of a trip, nothing more- it's not an Airline Review- it's a moment in time and usually those moments are great, but sometimes they suck lol. I've been on plenty of airlines that don't allow filming/don't allow mounting camera/etc. I research their policies prior to flying and abide by them when they are the official policy. But when literally one flight attendant says one thing and the other, the opposite- it just becomes a joke! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
When I flew this sector, it was operated by an A320 where the business class seats were basically economy seats, so you can count yourself lucky (or more likely well-planned) to have gotten a proper business class seat on a short-haul European flight. I actually think you are completely out of line with your reaction to being told to put your equipment away. If it's an airline policy to not have potential projectiles suction-cupped to the windows during take-off, you must comply with a lawful direction given by the crew. Having disregarded the crews' instructions and having your phone out to film the takeoff and now posting that on RUclips, Finnair would be perfectly entitled to put you on their non-fly list.
Well planned, yes. One crew member supported my mounted phone. Another made me take it down. She also refused me to film by hand because the phone must be “put away”… then their own IFE system clearly shows phones can be used from gate to gate. They need to get their act together and figure out what their policy actually is and then train their crew to enforce it accordingly and respectfully. My reaction had nothing to do with being told to put it away. As I clearly stated in the review, I’ve been told to do this many times before and it’s never been an issue. If you cannot see a problem with how the Purser handled this, then that’s on you Mr. Amontay, not me.
Please review the new Finnair business class seats A350-900. I am flying it on Finnair from SIN- HEL in Mar-2023🙂🙏I would not be so good nature as you if the crew speak to me so rudely 😠
HEL - AMS BC??? 🙄 Anyway I use Finnair BC for Asia very, very often with connecting filghts from ZRH. Never had a problem with it. When I was ill from s flight from Viêt Nam, I had a superbe flight from HEL to ZRH with any help available. Where you playing with the crew? Any loose thing has to be stored while take off and landing. Sorry, but you know it. No excuse.
Was I "playing" with the crew? I said very clearly in the video that the first flight attendant not only allowed me to have the camera out for filming, but she also thought it was a great idea.
Less than 10% of my reviews are “bad”. Lay off the crazy pills and learn to understand that not everyone has precisely the same exact experiences as you in life.
@@tfft Yeah Womp Womp I called you out. I know Finnair flight attendants in my family and they get behaviour trained regularly and mistreating passengers especially business class is a big no no. I mostly fly business class for work and they are always very kind and helpful. Behaviour like that could get them fired. Now what would be a more interesting video? (“Finnair flight goes wonderful” or “Finnair flight goes bad”) The same principle works in news, no one cares about good things on the news but everyone cares about the tragedy’s and bad news.
@@tfft You provided zero evidence of this happening even though you would have most likely been recording during the “incident”. Sounds very made up to me.
Very much appreciated your honesty. We have the same character in that I’m super polite but push me with ridiculous rules enforcement and I will bite back hard. Something I find amusing is I was brought up from age 9 in Australia. My trips were Australia Glasgow or to Hawaii. 22 hours or more and 9 to Hawaii. European flights are a doddle. One last thing. Your brief mention of the wash room was appreciated. I get real mad when reviewers take you into the toilet. An aircraft toilet is a toilet. Don’t need to see don’t need to know about it. Safe travels.
As you’ll see in one of my upcoming Gulf Air reviews, I only bite back if I trust the legal systems of the countries I’m flying between 😂. And yes totally agree with the bathrooms. I appreciate to know if there are any amenities in there or maybe a bigger/tiny sink etc, but there’s rarely a case to be made for more than a 10-15 second clip. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Personally, I would have asked if it was ok to film and use your window attachment beforehand - you ASSUMED it was okey as that is never a good approach.
I’ve had 70+ flights this year. It’s a reasonable assumption that any western carrier would allow it- and in absolutely every case except Finnair, it was. Among content creators they are also known to be a filming friendly airline especially since they introduced their new hard products. Not to mention the first FA fully supported it. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I'm slightly offended that you think older people might not use the word 'cool'. As she's still working I'm guessing she would be early to mid sixties at the very oldest. She was probably in her fifties. I'm 65. That means I was a teenager and a university student in the mid to late 70s. Not the second world war. Do you think the word 'cool' wasn't common in those days? My younger teachers (who must now all be in their seventies) all went to college in the sixties and were in the hippy generation. I think they were the ones who invented 'cool'. Why do you think we might not use the word 'cool'?
This is what I would call, thinking way too far into this 😂 Was just a simple observation that was specifically related to a non-native English speaker using the word in a way I am pretty sure even she would agree was awkward. I can also assure you she wasn’t in her fifties, but that is besides the point. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I'm leaving a tip just for the pure entertainment of how you described your experience.
You’re in for a doozy when I publish my first Gulf Air video then 😂 (23/12 i think…) Thank you as always for your support 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thanks very much for the kind words and for watching 🙏🏻
It only takes one person to spoil everything. They could have been on a power trip. Best way is to write a letter to Finnair with details of the flight so official feedback can be provided to that individual. They might have then had a counselling or official warning to be polite and they represent the business of Finnair
This video is my “letter” 😂. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
You're honestly my favorite travel reviewer out there - love the honesty devoid of any BS.
I love your reviews and especially this one. You report facts as you experienced them, devoid of whining, whinging or bias. This is good, mature reporting which leaves us to consider the facts and make up our own minds. You are a rarity among trip reporters. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I have been on probably more than 20 long haul flights in bizz with finnair. I can say i have definitly had individuals/crews that were not particular great. But i will also say MOST of the time they are amazing! Even the local crews from SIN are truly great. Bad luck for you on this one. The review was great.
Appreciate you taking this for what it is, a single flight review. Some loyal Finnair flyers are a wee bit defensive haha.
@@tfft Oh yes, the love for Finnair is big in many, me included. But again, what you describe is absolutely in the cards with some individuals at Finnair.
I love the way you go into details ...it takes very little to keep things clean .
Thanks for watching 🩴
These trip reports are very well detailed. I love it!
I love the design of the video and the information. Best video's on the moment.
Thanks very much for watching & Happy New Year 🎉
Sucked is my new favorite word! It seems to come up more and more with the type of service I’m receiving.
Welcome to post-COVID travel 😂
Honestly, very unusual individual on Finnair. I travel quite often with them and consider the trip quite comforting. To me, Finnair doesnt have that over the top service, nor the stiff professionalism of a crew that wants to win something. They keep it simple and casual and I appreciate that a lot as it makes me feel relaxed. Hope you have a much better experience with Finnair if you ever travel with them again
Thanks for watching 🩴
Cool how you can see the air being drawn into the engine during spool-up. Thanks for sharing.
If you think that's cool, check out my Japan Airlines 777 Flight from Tokyo to JFK on the channel. A full on mini tornado was created! Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🎉
@@tfft Thanks mate. Hope 2023 is full of travel, fun and success for you and your family.

Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Flew LHR-HEL-SIN some time back. HEL-SIN leg was delayed from the original 0100hrs to 0530. They closed the lounge at 00:00 and kicked everyone out. That was fun. Flight and crew was otherwise excellent.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
What happens if you sip slowly your beer? Will they call security? Will security drag you out of the lounge?
@@woutergijs5246 of course you have to leave when the lounge closes
It seems like you were unlucky, on all my Finnair flights the crew have been very friendly and great in every way. Yeah, the Schengen HEL lounge is out of date, the Non-Schengen one is very pleasent tho. I hope it get's upgraded along with the renovation taking place right after security, or at least soon after.
Sure, I’m sure I was unlucky- I doubt this is the “normal” FINNAIR experience, but all I can write about is my own little experience. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft Indeed, and it’s always good to bring out the low points of an airline even if it isn’t the norm.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Thanks
Thanks as always for your support 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Glad you stuck to your scores with this experience. Just watched Rory Ding's trip to Egypt and he had an interesting time with the local police liberating excess paper from his wallet before boarding.
He is too nice, I can imagine your response
Keep up the good work.
I'll be in 2024 soon with your flights !
My response would be very nice, but my money would stay in my pocket, that I can assure you lol
Bad service is very unusual for Finnair. Al flights I took with them were wonderful.

I can say nothing but great things about Finnair Business Class. HEL-BKK absolutely brilliant service every time.
All it takes is one bad apple! I'm sure they're usually great. I can only comment on what I experienced myself. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🎉
Oh,your experience reminds me of my United Airlines "friendly" FA,all of which were older than my grandmother! Good luck next time!

Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
There is a Hilton right next to the terminal. Even got a room with a sauna!
Was more than double the price… for a six hour stay lol.
I Love the A350.Great work

I flew biz class Hel-BKK .The crew were ok but with a distinct cool distant attitude.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻 p
FA here! You’d be surprised how many windows break due to those damn suction cups. As a rule of thumb never attach anything on the aircraft components. Sure the crew member shouldve been nicer with her approach but i get where shes coming from
Ouch. I’ve had ok experiences with fin air . Maybe you can give them another go in a few months and hope you get a friendlier staff

2:51 I grew up eating that for breakfast lol basic b’s gotta eat too Kevin
I mean... it's good... but doesn't exactly make for exciting content lol. Thanks for watching 🩴
There’s always that one flight attendant that snaps and everybody else is nice!!! But that attitude of hers spoils a bunch of apples!!!
Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🎉
Hey... That's exactly like my experience on AY. one year ago in November 2021 I was flown HEL BKK and the cabin crew went to me shortly before holding point of the rwy.i switched the camera out from the window and filmed by my hands. Crazy
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Most of the time however Finnair‘s FA‘s are really nice.
I'm sure they are! An airline wouldn't survive if all their pursers were like this lol. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
THANK YOU FOR YOUR AUNTHENTICITY
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
The "i wasn't slapped" thing is quite a standard... i wonder if you've had a 0/10 service where you'd in fact been slapped hahahaha
Being slapped would invoke my penalty scoring system :)
You must have caught them on their "national bad day" perhaps,,,
Lol is there such a thing?
😂@@tfft
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Good job 👍
Greetings from ❄️ Helsinki
Kiitos katsomisesta 🙏
Its very rare to fly to Amsterdam with A350. You should be VERY thankful of that
The A350 is a daily visitor to Amsterdam from May through October :) Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
From May through October of last year it certainly was. You’re welcome to check.
But looks like it is not worth it ;)
Thanks for subscribing 🙏🏻
I have been told only once on AY not to take photos, and that was actually only not taking photos of other passengers. I asked why, it was for "privacy". Agreed to delete a photo of a friend.
I can understand (don’t agree, just understand) airline staff not liking a content creator filming extensively… but asking a regular passenger to to delete a photo of their friend should be a fireable offense.

Perhaps you only take out the phone and start shooting when all the crews are prepared for take off or landing. Then no one will bother you filming. Btw, do they not allow you to film when the flight is stable after take off?
Their inflight entertainment system literally has a slide that says you can use your devices at all times. So... 🤷🏼♂️

There are some of course- Nonstop Dan & Wingin It Paul Lucas I think are two good examples… but the majority of channels nicely fit into one of three categories:
1. “I flew Emirates and it changed my life…”
2. “Why does every airline suck?”
3. “I FLEW A CRAPPY LITTLE AIRLINE THAT YOUVE NEVER HEARD OF AND I DIDN’T DIE!!!”
Sorry, idk where this reply is going 😂. But I know you know what I mean and I’m thankful for viewers like you who appreciate straight to the point honesty.

Finnair has three different lounges at Helsinki. I see you were in the modest one.
Tbh i don’t understand why so many comments point this out. Regardless of how many lounges there are in the entirety of the airport, there is only one lounge available for Schengen flights- and that’s where I went.
I would like to hear from you if you travel to the Phillippins,
London to Manila, please let us know. What you think?
Not LHR-MNL, but I do have a few PR flights booked for this year. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Don't film in security control area. There are signs saying it's against the aviation law.
Which is precisely why I didn’t film a single security detail or procedure.

Finnair sh**ted on us several years back. They were rigid and cold as ice. I never thought I'd say this, but I think some of the US carriers are better than most of the euro airlines. the only thing that distinguishes the non-US airlines is a feeling of calmness, less stressful.
Maybe I'm just more used to US unpleasantness rather than Nordic unpleasantness...
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Bad encounter with Finnair? Man, I’m sorry dude. I love that airline. Give them another try.
Will do!
I find Business lounges to be underwhelming with most airlines and if the prices are too high there is no point even travelling Business class.
"If the prices are too high" then sure, it's not worth it- but in this case, the redemption rate was very good. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
That sure was a purser from HEL !!
You should see my Gulf Air video hahaha. Makes this purser look like a true sweetheart.
Unacceptable, regardless. You’re a Good man for seeing both sides after that disgraceful behaviour.

Thank you for the review. Not an airline I would use unless I had no other choice.

I’m not sure If The Purser in question was in the “experienced” category but speaking to you in that manner is inexcusable, perhaps she needs to be made aware of it in a letter to the company - having flown the carrier multiple times long haul I have generally found crew amenable - nice review
Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🎉
I have just flown Finnair - return trips from London Heathrow to Ivalo via Helsinki and have nothing but admiration for the Airline and its crew. Perhaps you are one person who always invite problems!
Feel better now?
Jaya, that's rather presumptuous. The reviewer clearly doesn't invite trouble because if he did, the other seasoned FA who made the "cool" comment to him would not have been so sweet and friendly. Unfortunately, I think this gentleman got someone who was cranky and very aggressive, which is probably not reflective of what most people experience on this airline.
@@tfft It was meant as a joke!
I'll say what everyone is thinking, Dave: You're an idiot.
🔥🔥🔥

Please review the new Finnair business class seats A350-900. I am flying it on Finnair from SIN- HEL in Mar-2023🙂🙏I would not be so good nature as you if the crew speak to me so rudely 😠
Not this year, but it is on my list! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
HEL - AMS BC??? 🙄
Anyway I use Finnair BC for Asia very, very often with connecting filghts from ZRH.
Thanks for the honest review.
I have no reason to fly Finnair because I always record my flight take offs.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
You threw the Flight Attendant under the bus & probably got her in trouble.
It’s amazing how though… if she perhaps was pleasant and customer focused and not rude… that wouldn’t have happened.
Living in Finland and having flown Finnair for over 100 flights I can confirm that this dude is making this up. Bad reviews get the clicks.
What's Ur nationality mate?
I thought u really were a Filipino. U sounded like u are Pinoy.
I’m not saying I am Pinoy… but what suddenly makes you think I’m not? Haha
@@tfft May I ask ur nationality?😄

Hope the flight was quiet at least.
Once the purser stopped yelling, yah. Haha
08:37 some people lack common sense or realise that the passengers are their greatest marketing tools! 🤦♂
