Coming from a guy who can operate all the tools but he’s not very good at following plans… You made this pretty easy, and I am glad you shared it with us!
For everybody who wishes to complain about no measurements and no commentary in the video... The man spent his time and money filming and editing the build for this video. Why not just drop the $2.00 for the PDF plans? You then have your measurements, RJK has some very small compensation for his time and effort, and you have this video to supplement the plans. Everybody wins.
@Brad210UIW 12 ft, plus whatever length you need for your particular miter saw. But easily modifiable to whatever length you want, it’s just changing 1 dimension in the plans.
There are thousands of ways to build a bench. I’ve got a new workshop and have had construction plans in my head for weeks. I tend to over engineer, so this is a godsend. Simple and it will do the job. Love it.
thank you for the video ... this was my first wood project and I did a lot of modifications and it really turn out much better than I anticipated! God Bless!
I like that the middle shelf is easy to remove and change in height, because when you buy a new miter saw you don't want to lose your time modifying the table.
Cool and nicely laid out plans. Thx.I have been using my job site dewalt stand with my mitersaw in my garage and it's a major pain. Always needs to be moved. The jobsite dewalt table saw is also on it's own mitersaw stand, and even more in the way, and too tall for the portable outfeed support things. I've been wanting to set up a quick sturdy and simple essentially permanent, but on wheels, station and this was the one I decided upon this morning. Very cool.
I've been going back in forth in my head for a while about how I'll build my workbench for the garage. Decided to go with your plans. Just downloaded the pdf and heading to Home Depot for the materials. This is what I've been looking for. Will let you know how it turns out.
Project is complete. Plans were spot on. Not one bit of wood was wasted. There is actually six 2x4's left to make braces for a bottom storage shelf, which I did.
Just buy the plans! Totally worth the $2 to have all the materials and cut list with color coordinated materials. Just built it last weekend. We don't have a truck to bring the materials home, so we had Home Depot rip down the 4x6 plywood and rip one cut on all of the 2x10s to get them to fit in the car. All in all, I think it took me maybe 4 hours to do final cuts and attachments. I took my time and made sure the boards were flush by hand before screwing fully. I don't have clamps to hold them together. Luckily, just taking my time and by feel, I didn't have any issues with the table being wobbly, thus no need for the leveling feet.
Nice job here & reasonably inexpensive. RUclips is the best thing since the invention of sliced bread methinks. Thanks for sharing your miter saw workbench build... Bill on the Hill... :~)
I am very new to building things. I spend most of my time in the factory, so any ways I need to build something to go between my washer and dryer. Like a folding station. So u have any ideas I'll be ready to watch.
It's the insecure, jealous, you didn't explain everything, you didn't get me the blueprints, you didn't come over to my house to build it for me kind of people!
What a video straight to the point get it built and no telling us any other sh*t trying to become technical, “like which way the grain on the wood goes” they do my head in those wan***s Thankyou very much from the UK !
love the video, i'm complete novice, just starting the long front braces, the cut list is all one length but the video looks like top one is on the outside and the bottom on the inside, won't that be different lengths?
So I almost completed this project yesterday and it is turning out amazing! Thanks again! You made pocket holes for the plywood to sit on the table, what size holes did you make and also what length screws? Can you tell me that please.
This post is old but maybe it'll help someone reading with the same question. Assuming this is 3/4 plywood, you'll adjust your stop collar to 1-1/4 and your screw length will be 1-1/2in
Can't find the words... simple, inexpensive, easy...but so effective. One question: how concerned were you with the top of the table being exactly the height of the saw?
Exact almost same setup that built for 3 locations for a chop saw station in a small division of the original Home Lumber/Home Components Truss/Wall/Floor Truss Jack Shop in Littleton, Colorado...lol
So I just purchased your plans for both the 1-hour workbench and the Miter Station. My plan, is to make an adjustable miter station. I want to be able to swap out the miter saw and portable table saw. I just need to figure our how to make height adjustments when swapping out. Any ideas on that?
Comparing this build with the plans--did you screw the lower&longer braces inside the legs (as opposed to outside, like the other braces) to allow for storage platform underneath?
Robert J. Keller got it-yeah i noticed in the plans everything is outside but those specific braces were inside in vid. Either way, great saw station thanks!
I'm just getting started and want to buy the saw first. Do you mind letting me know what model number this Dewalt saw is. It looks awesome, but I've seen a few different models at substantially varied prices and I don't want to over/under buy. I am not a Contractor and just expect to use it for regular household & Halloween projects. Great video btw. I intend to buy your plans for this, as soon as I purchase my saw. :)
Any idea what kind of wood he used? Doesn't look like regular 2x4's. The 2x4's I get from Lowes are always a bit warped. Those were some nice straight pieces of lumber.
Corey -- they are indeed just 2x4s from the hardware store. Usually if you're willing to pick through the pile you can find some pretty straight ones. The plywood top helps pull everything square, too.
Amazing project! I purchased the plans for this project from your website. It doesn't mention anything about what screw size did you use, what size pick holes you made including the pocket hole screws. Can you let me know about that please. Thanks!
PLANS : robert-j-keller.com/plans/miter-saw-station
What wood did you use pine or fir wood
The mitre saws cutting surface doesn’t have to be flush with top of table? I noticed it’s a slight bit lower does it matter?
Well I guess it can’t bc of the rails right?
Coming from a guy who can operate all the tools but he’s not very good at following plans… You made this pretty easy, and I am glad you shared it with us!
Also, got to use some old lumber I had laying around. Got rid of that and made something useful.
Great build, no fancy expensive tools, so simple and effective 👍👍👍
Thanks Nick!

if they can't figure it out by looking at the video then they shouldn't be working with tools. Some things just takes common sence.
I love the way of the displaying the last two pieces of wood ... lol , humorous
There are thousands of ways to build a bench. I’ve got a new workshop and have had construction plans in my head for weeks. I tend to over engineer, so this is a godsend. Simple and it will do the job. Love it.
What this guy said x10
over-engineer! That's the vast majority of us! LOL!
Same! I’m a new work worker, Mama, almost an empty nester, I LOVE my new miter saw! Although I am having issues with the dam laser 🤣 thank you!
Great video, no BS, no self indulgence, to the point BRILLIANT. SUBSCRIBED
Brilliant no nonsense approach to doing the job and doing the video!
thank you for the video ... this was my first wood project and I did a lot of modifications and it really turn out much better than I anticipated! God Bless!
Built mine yesterday. I had to adjust the length a bit to fit my space but it turned out great!
I like that the middle shelf is easy to remove and change in height, because when you buy a new miter saw you don't want to lose your time modifying the table.
Exactly!

Wow, amazing you created this in 4 1/2 minutes. It took me eight minutes. You must have a better saw blade than I use.
Very well done 🤙🏻🤙🏻 Add a fence and T track, stop block and stick down ruler and you’ll be all set
Yes, it would be nice if he did a part two.
Nice looking miter saw station... going to add a router as well and do similar build. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you! I used your plans and built my own miter saw station...it's awesome!
Nice!
You don't talk but I surely like your professionalism, simplicity works well .
Damn! Wish I had seen this a month ago, before I built my work bench. Now I'm trying to figure out how to Mod my bench.
That special touch of "thanks for watching" and "subscribe" at the end is just awesome!!
Thanks!
indeed
Very very nice! Easy project! God bless you sir

Built mine today and it turned out great.
finished mine last weekend. love it!

Nice job on the video. Keep up the great work. Be blessed
And you didn’t split a single board with those screws and no pilot hole. What is this sorcery? Excellent work.
Yeah how did this happen?
SPAX construction screws...
None of those screws were close enough to any edge to worry about any splitting.
Nice Job. Thanks for the reminder at the end well done!
No commentary and straight to the point. Nice upload and nice build. You definitely gave me good tips and ideas. Subscribed!
Nice job here & reasonably inexpensive. RUclips is the best thing since the invention of sliced bread methinks.
Thanks for sharing your miter saw workbench build...
Bill on the Hill... :~)
Nice and simple. The way RUclips videos should be
Easy, yet very effective design!👍👍
Congrats! Very good job!
I like how you tied the two boxes together with just a simple cross member.

. . . . .
Great video 👍 I put my shop vac under the saw and attached them. No more clean up.
Heyyy I did that too! Good thinkin'.
I am very new to building things. I spend most of my time in the factory, so any ways I need to build something to go between my washer and dryer. Like a folding station. So u have any ideas I'll be ready to watch.
Great work. I like the ending of the video 👌
Great job!
thanks, good work and excellent idea the last 2 cuts, very witty
This is awesome! Best vid i seen on this. I’m building it.
great video!
Thanks for this I’m looking forward to making it, just looked at the plans
perfect and objective work, congratulations !!!
Brilliant, thanks for sharing.
Still the best
Seems so easy
I always wonder who down voters are! I mean, what is there to hate? It looks simple, clean and very useful
mastaace46 a good friend from Oklahoma used to say, “tha’ just ain’t no pleasin’ some folks”.
It's the insecure, jealous, you didn't explain everything, you didn't get me the blueprints, you didn't come over to my house to build it for me kind of people!
Usually liberal and or Democrat.
That is because of no explanations or link to plans.
Could be the lack of wall finish behind it lol
What a video straight to the point get it built and no telling us any other sh*t trying to become technical, “like which way the grain on the wood goes” they do my head in those wan***s
Thankyou very much from the UK !
Great build! Love it!
End of the video was so awesome. Great work!
Thanks Zach!
That's some good work right there!
Awesome video! Thanks!
I have the same miter saw so I'll use the same dimensions!
Wow, nice vid. Straight to the point. Some guys take 10 minutes to tell us about the salad they had for dinner first.
Great video. Thanks! Could you put the supports on the inside of the legs so to put shelves on them?
Just freaking awesome ! Do you. Have plans for these builds ? Love that videos.
He does but you gotta buy it
This is a great channel! Awesome build!
Awesome video and simple set up. When I build my shop it will be one of the first shop projects.
Nice, fast, simple. I like.
Subbed.
well done!
Thanks, this s really good.
love the video, i'm complete novice, just starting the long front braces, the cut list is all one length but the video looks like top one is on the outside and the bottom on the inside, won't that be different lengths?
simple but great design, thanks for the inspiration. i'll start building a mitre saw station in a few days. :-)
So cool!
Nice solution! And loved the ending with the "Thanks" and "Subscribe."
Thanks man!
I bought the plans about 2 months ago and finally got around to building it. It came out great. Thanks Robert.
👍👍
Where do you find the plans for this ?
@@christopherreyes4030 he has the link to his plans in the comments.
Great vid. Mind me asking what the dimensions are? Any plans? Thanks.
There are plans but it cost $2
G.J. Sir!

Good job
No pilot holes = no satisfaction. Still gave a thumbs up for videography.
Simple and easy! Any plans?
excellent but if you put an angle on the sides of the machine and a tape measure attached it will make the job easier to cut a lot of good work
Awesome videos man!
Looks good! I 've added it to my playlist! Many thanks, man!
Thank you for watching!
Nice video! wish i could work that fast... :)
Reminds me of Ash from Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, building all precise and fast in the workshop before he says.... "Grooovy".
looks so good i cant wait to make it
Interested in purchasing the plans but need to know what is the length, width and height first. Thx
Can't find the words... simple, inexpensive, easy...but so effective. One question: how concerned were you with the top of the table being exactly the height of the saw?
Thanks! Yes, the saw being even with the table is very important.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 TOP 👷🏻♀️😁
Superb job and another subscriber.
Thank you brother, welcome aboard!
If you mounted tires and a hitch to it you could pull it to the job site.
Buen trabajo 👍
Good job. Hey could you make a miter saw station were the two work bench could come apart from the miter table that's in the middle
What size screws did you use to attach the top to the frame?
Would you recommend using a press-wood plywood over a BC grade plywood for this miter saw station?
So are all dewalt miter saws the same height as a two by four ?
Exact almost same setup that built for 3 locations for a chop saw station in a small division of the original Home Lumber/Home Components Truss/Wall/Floor Truss Jack Shop in Littleton, Colorado...lol
Vou começar o meu em breve! Um abraço do 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

Hmm that's a tough one. Whatever method you go with, make sure it's very secure. Don't want a saw moving around on you when you're making a cut!
It’s a lot like the one Bob from ILTMS built but this looks a lot more simple and cheap
How many 2x4 did you use altogether on your plans its say 16 then you mention an 8 so is that 24 in total.
Comparing this build with the plans--did you screw the lower&longer braces inside the legs (as opposed to outside, like the other braces) to allow for storage platform underneath?
I believe the plans call for them to go on the outside-- that was just to reduce the number of different cut lengths and simplify the plans.
Robert J. Keller got it-yeah i noticed in the plans everything is outside but those specific braces were inside in vid. Either way, great saw station thanks!
What're the clamps called you're using to hold the lumber together? Thanks
Superb, thank you
How many lengths of 2x4 did you use.
I'm just getting started and want to buy the saw first. Do you mind letting me know what model number this Dewalt saw is. Hi Bruce, you can find the link to the saw, and a short review, on my website:
robert-j-keller.com/tools
How many 2x4x8 total used for this project?
Any idea what kind of wood he used? Doesn't look like regular 2x4's. The 2x4's I get from Lowes are always a bit warped. Those were some nice straight pieces of lumber.
Corey -- they are indeed just 2x4s from the hardware store. Usually if you're willing to pick through the pile you can find some pretty straight ones. The plywood top helps pull everything square, too.
@@RobertJKeller Thanks I will give it a try!
Amazing project! I purchased the plans for this project from your website. It doesn't mention anything about what screw size did you use, what size pick holes you made including the pocket hole screws. Can you let me know about that please. Thanks!
Well, let’s see. 2x4 is really about 1.5 inches thick. To screw two of them together {3”) without punching thru, maybe 2.5 inches?
The long 2x4 on the bottom is on the inside in the picture but the outside on the plans, any preference?
The outside just simplifies the cut list, but it doesn't really matter either way.
