Serena isnt the GOAT. She doesnt have the most majors and never won the grand slam. Graf retired at 29. Serena has played 10 years longer and only has one more major. Navratilova has an insane amount of tournament wins and major wins if you count singles and doubles.

Everyone thought her career was over when Sharapova came in, which Is a joke, I really don't think we can credit Serena's longevity to Sharapova at all. And to say that Serena hasn't won a GS all that time, is more likely credited to her mental game or the fact that she had a child, definitely not cause of Sharapova.

Serena is a prolific champion and one an easily defend the position she is the greatest of all time. That said she has lost some keynote matches she really should have won in poor fashion to nerves or choking. I think back and everyone loses matches but I don't recall Chrissy or Stefi choking away matches. Martina did when she was on the rise but she snuffed that out fairly early on or she never would have overtaken Chrissy. Serena's just sort of creep in here and there.
A great of the game and probably ahead of Graff as second best of all time but Court was a much more dominant player. She won 24 singles titles off of only 40 odd attempts (4 after taking time off to have a kid) vs Williams 23 off of close to 80. Court also won 20 doubles and 20 mixed doubles titles. Yeah Court is a religious zealot who holds some ugly beliefs but that doesn't detract from what she achieved as a tenn9s player
