Serena v Watson is one proof that she's the Greatest. The crowd was awful but Serena's mental strength is beyond. I don't see any player that can level the mental toughness of Serena in that match.
“To anyone else, the match would have been over, but not for Serena.” ACCURATE!!! CHAMPIONS NEVER QUIT!!! She created some angles and plays that was out of this world. Serena is indeed The Greatest Of All Time.
I guess you didn't watch her give up against Sakkari in the U.S open warm-up. She quit in the 3rd set like a baby, would have more dignity walking off the court, I'm serious look it up
tracy.....then Bianca says "hold my beer" and promptly destroys Serena while showing more grit, determination, guts and mental strength than Serena and her whole family will ever have. It's not that Serena is now losing all the time because of her age or motherhood. It's because the deep pool of young talent in women's tennis figured out that Serena just isn't very good, never was, and they now have strategies that expose the many weaknesses in her game. No court coverage, no variety etc. These are weaknesses that Serena has had her whole career.
Oracene said after the 2007 AO final that the best match she ever saw S play a RG match against Mauresmo..not sure if it was 2002 or 04...the bits i ve seen are amazing..
2010 aus open match with azarenka gotta be in this top 20, and the 2002 mauresmo match at the french open. Of course the clijsters and sharapova matches at the aus open… either way GOD DAMN THIS IS GOOD!
👀 She has a lot of great matches.. 😂 part 3 of the top 20 (6-10) will be up in the weekend.. Would you rather see Safina V Serena Aus Open 2009- where Serena played one her best matches destroying her, or Serena v Azarenka 2010, where she came back from 4-0 down in the second set after losing the first?
Tennis TopShots your comment tells the story... that azerenka match you watched her flip the switch so palpable when watching it. One of those us open wins too can’t remember of it was 12 or 13 she was down 5-3 in the third
@@tennistopshots6346 Also there was no drama in that safina match, the best beat down was either sharapova in 07 or sharapova at the olympics with the cripwalk at the end
Serena was absolutely right during the Watson game. And ironically, the audience calling things out was hindering Watson probably even more than Serena. So the audience was wrongfully booing her when she was helping Watson out.
I still get annoyed with watching the Radwanska match. Her level from the SF to the F of the 2016 AO was night and day. Yes, Kerber is a better player than Aga for sure, but Serena still didn't play nowhere near her SF level in the F. Kudos to Angie for pulling it out though as most players would've capitulated.
i rmr that radwanska match when he asked "bagel feeling?" and chrissy said no radwanska is too good.... then serena gave her a nice everything bagel LMAO

Queen? Goat? is there any area where she is an all time lead in history except for playing the highest number of matches? has she done grand slam? golden slam? does she have a winning streak record? or number of weeks as world number one? Name one please where she is an all time lead
Ok....let's see.... since you obviously are trying to put graf ahead of her...does she the 'technical' grand slam? No....but she has won the 4 majors consecutively not once but TWICE....golden slam? No....but she also has a gold medal....along with THREE others in doubles with venus....and that gold in 88 that graf got was the ONLY one she got....4 years later she lost to a VERY young Jennifer capriati who basically hadn't won anything at that point....Next point...look at the main competition in graf's prime (old Martina, old Chris, Sanchez vicario, sabatini, and mj Fernandez)....I'll get into seles in a min.... Serena's main competition was Venus, davenport, hingis, henin, capriati, clisters, Sharapova, kerber, Osaka, halep, azarenka....EVERY one of these players would have mopped the floor with graf's main rivals....except seles....and speaking of seles...when seles was in HER prime (90-93), Graf won exactly TWO majors out of a possible TWELVE majors (90 French-93 Aussie open)...Seles in that same time frame won EIGHT!!! Including beating graf 3 times...she was CLEARLY the #1 player...and was DOMINATING women's tennis...then she got stabbed by a graf fan in Germany..and was never the same player....and let the record show that graf won exactly HALF of her 22 slams AFTER the seles stabbing!! When graf faced someone who hit the ball as hard or close to it she struggled...and seles was the only won in her prime that did that and that's why graf didn't win hardly any slams between 90-93) Serena won more majors in less matches...against MUCH stiffer competition....plus she won a major PREGNANT!! Martina is greatest all around women's player....but Serena is the 🐐 as far as singles women's players ...
@dreman1970 Just to add a little to your points. Monica wasn't even in her prime between 1990-1993. She was around 16-19 years. She was likely going to peak around late 93 to early 95. Also the way 16 year old Martina Hingis dominated Steffi's rivals in 1997 and beyond makes you appreciate how inferior her competition was in the 90s. These Steffi fanatics are so insecure. Serena holds the most important record which is the most slams by a woman in the open era.
Court has more of both so by your logic Court would be the GOAT. Serena is the GOAT. 18 slams in singles is nowhere near enough for GOAT status when 3 different women have 22-24.
Serena is way overated. It took her ten years longer to achieve the same number of slam wins as Steffi Graf. Steffi, not Serena, is clearly the goat of women's tennis.
You REALLY need to get your hand off it with these little love notes that you’re writing throughout your videos. Yeah, she’s very talented but it’s vomitous!
If you don't want them then don't watch, they're simply side notes.. you don't need to get all rude about it.. They are to give context to some of what was happening, reasons as to why these matches made my list..

“Dont try me” she said after the crowd booed her for asking the umpire to stop ask them to stop calling line calls....
U r points r absolutely correct... I have watched that match many time
Serena the Comeback Queen! There will never be another
The Serena,Justine Miami final one of my all-time favorites- Serena RULES!!
the 2007 Miami final against Henin...BEYOND.
I'm also DYING for the commentary...good job. As a massive Serena fan, I agree with a lot of what you are captioning!
The match with Watson, the crowd is rude!... but she shut it down with a win! Happy with that!

There is no other player male or female who has the grit, determination and guts that she has. She will not let any point go. Never ever

That was 2003 the year Justine cheated and she had beat Mauresmo so bad in the Qtrs

Sharapova is obsessed with Serena hahaha
Martina gets my vote, and a good sport...
