Prepare first, pay attention on your shot, more spin, hit deep, forward, keep your eyes on the ball... it is interesting to see what the world's best player is told from her coach is not much different from what I, a mere mortal recreational player, am told from my coach. it tells me no magic, but her hard works on executing basic fundamentals has created her magic.

I'm not a Serena stan by any measure, but guys. It's clay. Once you play and run on clay, you'll know not to go full throttle on it. It can be dangerous. Two, she's probably either already played a mock match or did her fitness training before this coaching session. She's never anywhere near this slow in match play. And finally, from what I saw, she's still got it. I mean, you're free to have an opinion, but I feel like it's a lot less valid if you've never hit the courts.

Actually, you'd be surprised. This is why coaching isn't allowed in tennis. A few words of encouragement can completely change a player's mood and performance. It's also a lot of reinforcement. Most coaches watch their players and say to themselves, "Come on, you know this." But out loud, they'll just keep using positive reinforcement and teach it like it's the first time, even if they're just reinforcing the desired behavior until it turns from reaction to reflex.

She should abandon that open stance backhand it has no power and is a muscle shot. Her closed stance backhand has so much power you hear the sound. But I’m on a keyboard right ?

Loved to see Serenas giggle near the end of the video. She didn't seem like she's missed a beat. She definitely still has her weapons, but does she have the drive to win another few times before she finally calls it quits?

I like the focus of Serena. How she processes feedback while fighting exhaustion. Attitute of a true champion she is.

She's overweight for professional tennis, she can barely move and when she does, she is slow. In one occasion she almost fell down as she lost her balance.
