Kel your a legend, pulled off my spark plug which was caked in god knows what gave it a good clean, popped it back on and bang its as good as new.... cheers mate

Gidday thanks for the video.. ive got 3 Victa 2 stroke Torque engines. Just LOVE these old mowers. But.. ive tried everything.. ive changed 3 engines over to the base and the same with each engine.. Checked head, gasket, piston, new spark plug, new fuel, new primer plate, float, needle, got spark on spark plug. Im at my wits end.. everything seems fine, tried your method on all 3 and they wont start. The blade plate is tight, not bent. The cut off switches are fine.. New air filter. ill be bugged if I cant find out why all 3 wont start.. any suggestions would be appreciated.
Have you added fuel from an external source, like start ya bastard? I am asking because if you have used 3 engines and got the same issue, I am thinking carby.
Hi, i got questions if you dont mind... i used a lawnmower 2 weeks ago... but instead of using 2 stroke oil.. im using 10w40 for fuel mixture with 50:1 ratio and its a 2 stroke lawnmower... question is, is that gonna damage the engine? Now the lawnmower won't start even i changed the fuel with 2 strokes oil mixture..
Hi, you can run 4 stroke oil in an emergency, however it is not recomended. 4 stroke oil will not damage the engine but over time it will gum up. 2 stroke oil can be mixed and sit on a self for a month or more. 4 stroke turns to a jelly like substance. I think you will find your carburetor is clogged and the fuel cannot get through.

Hi, you need to richen up the air/fuel mixture. It is running to lean. You have 2 screws on the side of the carby. Turn them both about 1 quater turn clockwise, this should sort it out for you.

Hi there I do up a few mowers in my garden shed to make money and I am having trouble with the 2 stroke power torque mowers I can get them going but
When I get them to start they run for a few minutes then they stop and I can restart them and they do the same thing. I have replaced almost everything in the black carby and a new spark plug I wash out the fuel tank make sure it’s got spark and still won’t stay going can you help
Hi, when you say they run for a few minutes is that at idle or at speed?
Common problem, they get hot, the crankcase warps a little and air gets drawn directly in below the piston rather than through the carby. Good luck finding exactly where!
I thought the only way to fix a Victa was with an axe and a box of matches!
Don't worry I had matches ready. haha.
Of course it wouldn't start, (1:08) you had the fuel in the off position (horizontal).
From very useful but don’t spend the money all at once.
