The way it climbs up stairs took my breath away. It looked easy for this car. I am wondering if it can also try the dragon challenge in China by range rover which was viral years ago, just to prove that it has the same or even better reliability
It needs to come to the US, but with boxier styling like the 2006-2010 Commander. The way the roofline extended over the driver and the upright dash won me over with the at model; as well as the quiet, smooth ride. It felt like a hummer.
@@Inferno45 It didnt sell well because Jeep didnt market it well. The US Commander was based on the WK Grand Cherokee and has an awesome 4x4 system with the Quadra-Drive II full time 4 wheel drive and electronic lockers in front and back differentials. They are selling well now because a lot of people are picking them up and making them in to overlanding trucks. Plus you can get it with the Hemi.
The Jeep Commander, also known as the Jeep Meridian in India, is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by Jeep since 2021. Based on the second-generation Compass, the vehicle offers three-row seating and mainly marketed in emerging markets such as Latin America and India. The vehicle was introduced in Brazil in August 2021 and positioned above the Compass. Debuted on 27 August 2021 in Brazil, the Commander is built on the Small Wide global platform shared with the Compass. As the result, it is unrelated to the similarly named Grand Commander sold in China. During its introduction, it is claimed to be the only D-segment SUV produced in Brazil. The vehicle is longer by 365 mm (14.4 in) in length, and longer by 158 mm (6.2 in) in wheelbase compared to the Compass. The trunk volume of the Commander is 661 liters with the 5 seats up, 233 liters with the 7 seats in use or 1,760 liters when the second and third row seats are fully folded down. In Brazil, it is available with a 1.3-litre turboflex petrol engine marketed as "T270" which produces 185 PS (182 hp; 136 kW) and 27.5 kg⋅m (270 N⋅m; 199 lb⋅ft), which is only optioned with front-wheel drive and 6-speed automatic transmission. A 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine marketed as "TD380" is available, and produces 170 PS (168 hp; 125 kW) and 38.7 kg⋅m (380 N⋅m; 280 lb⋅ft) with all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard.
99.9% of those cars won't leave comfort of asphalt/concrete roads, maybe someone will park it on the lawn but that is it. So car manufacturers are spending crazy amount of money to build a capable off-road vehicle for nothing...
For off-road I'd rather have a dedicated jeep like an older Wrangler or Cherokee or Grand Cherokee . If you keep the tires under 33 you can add budget lockers and couple other things abd go everywhere this will and more plus you won't worry about body damaging a car you still pay a monthly note on .
This is basically what the US would call Jeep Compass, with a 3rd row seat. My 2005 Grand Cherokee with the Hemi and Quadra-Drive II system can do all of what this is doing. I wonder if the US is going to get this stretched version of the Compass?
i own the 2007 jeep commander trail rated limited this winter will be the first winter with it its almost in perfect condition no rust at all it has the 5.7 v8 hemi
I just can't understand why it comes with a 1.3L engine. If you want AWD you only have the diesel choice, 2.0L. At least those are the engine options in my country. The price tag doesn't match those engines, and for that price range there are way too many options. I love the looks and the interior colors though.
My 2008 volvo xc90 could do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! v8... its got 79,000 miles and is in excellant shape too with all the bells and whisltes. Its a drivers suv with some electronic nannnies.
Wagoneer is too big for Brazil, this brazilian Commander is an extended version of the Compass, so families can choose between taking kids on the third row or baggage with the seats folded, with 2/3 or less of the cost of a Grand Cherokee

Omg this is absolutely amazing.the off-road capability is outstanding

Literally nobody bought it and this one looks like a Chrysler Pacifica not a jeep
@@Inferno45 I still see Jeep Commanders all over the Ohio Valley. They're very popular around here.

Approach and Departure Angle is amazing considering the steep steps..wow
Jeep always had a great 4x4 system😎

The Ariel Photography in this video is amazing! 🎈
Jeep better than Land Rover.
Nothing will compare with this. Mind blowing performance 👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪
No special off-road performance here
Looks like an average performance, like what you can see from outlanders and foresters.

the off-road car is perfect and I love it so much 😍🚙🤩
The best car made in Brazil
...so they still can shout "Made in Murica!"
Nops!!!
No
The stunt of climbing over stairs I had seen a Skoda doing it in 1954
I can’t believe they stuck the Commander nameplate on this minivan…
Looks aside, that is undeniably still a Jeep. No minivan is touching what that thing did.
Is it Jeep meridian ??
esse.. jeep.. é..top..e.. lindo demais 😍

I truly admire people that sit in a car alone with a mask on!

Senti falta de trecho alagado. Será que houve melhorias em relação ao Compass e Renegade que bebem água facilmente?
