I agree, I'm a medic main and I know that this class is useful but hard to improve, i used to say for my begginer friends that medic is a good class for beginners, but most medic beginers just pocket heavys and forget that they have a team
Personally I'd suggest Solider more than Pyro because starting the game as W+M1 Pyro can teach players bad habits that will get them killed with any other class where Solider teaches the basics of positioning better. But I fully agree that Medic is a bad class to begin with, the sheer amount of things you have to keep track of and ways the other classes can kill you that you might not even know yet while being the number 1 target can be overwhelming
The "medic hate" thing is something I never thought about but you are completely right, nobody cares if you play badly as any other class but as medic you will get insulted. That would put off newer players.
I hate the hate medics get. I have over 100 hours as a medic. Im not greatest one, but not that bad one either One day I was defending on snipeward, sorry, upward, and my team mates were rushing to get themselves killed at the start. Cannot understand, better to wait and let attacking team waste their uber AND then attack. Anyhow I was waiting patiently when suddenly I spotted spy behind out sniper. Popped uber on that sniper. Spy couldnt do anything, then he continued to other sniper and I continued uber on that second sniper :D So I saved 2 snipers from certain death and I was immediately getting votekicked :D LOL. I was topscoring at that time, so my team mates were smart enough not to vote me off. It is not medics fault if you have death wish! Anyhow I play casual, and there aint enough medics, so I cannot understand the hate they get at all (except for battle medics of course)
Exactly, that’s the struggle for medics. You’re doing your best to keep the team alive, and then someone tries to votekick you just because they didn’t get the Uber. Sometimes I’d rather Uber a Scout who makes good use of it than a Heavy who wastes it, but people still complain. It’s not my fault if sometimes Scouts outshine Soldiers and Heavies in a match. People often don’t see the bigger picture and just blame medics for not giving Ubers to certain classes...
Anyone with @hotmail or @yahoo in their name is absolutely a shitposter. Every single person I've ever seen in TF2 with that in their name is a professional baiting, shitposter.

Very true, well presented points!
I would no be lying if my first 4 hours of ever playing the game as medic didn’t teach me some things and game sense
