Single most blessed beautiful thing I've seen all day!Hat's off! Looks like a guy in the back working the throttle, one on the transmission, and one guy really leaning on that steering handle. You guys are the best.
An M3 or M5 Stuart tank chassis with a 454 Chevy. That's a PERFECT combination! I just saw another vid of it. They turned it into a dump truck. COOL! LOL!!!
This is based on the M-5 High Speed Tractor! Notice the boogie trucks, slightly different than on the M-3/M-5. M-5 H.S.T. where used to tow 155mm Artillery. Also notice the different rear idler arm mount, and front bow plate where the winch was mounted. Construction companies bought alot of M-5s after the war. NOT to be confused with the M-5 Stuart.
Put an old VW bus cab on it, cool rig would be neat to have one, I might add mufflers though, just to save the eardrums of that guy with headphones on :P
Gotta get those beer holders installed next. At 5:24 I can see a hose or cable or something that hangs down while under throttle and goes back up into the chassis when you let up. Hope you have guards over that drive train inside where you sat.
That's how you party. Except I'd be standing on top of it in a trench coat with a medieval sword in my hand held victoriously in the air. "Drive me closer, I want to hit them with my sword!"
A lot of drills where based on the M3 light tank and up here on M3 mediums and M4 medium hulls. Popular for road building as they can go places regular equipment can't. some of the hulls might have been artillery tractors, using the M3 light hull.
Obama and his green crusade, what a joke. We need more innovators like these guys! Be sure to check out all three of their videos. Guys, I can't wait to see your next project.
That looks like it is more likely from a M4 High speed tractor, instead of a Stuart Tank. The drive train is similiar, but the front looks like a high speed tactor. It would be a lot easier to take the upper portion off a HST than a tank.
to all who are talking about different engine options. think about this. the guy prob had all the major parts laying around to do this build a slow free tank for the farm is better in my opinion than a slightly faster prohibitively expensive tank. hell id like to have this chassis as i have a dt466 and all the fixins to put it in and go but i dont have the money to buy the chassis
yeah i know..but great job to get it running , it looks like the bottom of a sherman i could be wrong..anyway i still think its kool as hell...well done guys.!!
For your problem, don't be fooled by purchasing any given tracks. The Germans had a very different track appearance from American tanks, so you could wind up messing up your appearance if you purchase the wrong set. A good solution could be, in stead of looking for the incredibly rare German tracks, try to buy a set of Soviet treads, which are almost identical to their German counterparts. Watch that front-most wheel. If it is star-shaped, it's American.
The frame is definitely not form a Tiger. The Pz Kpfw VI, otherwise known as the Tiger, has a much different set of treads, and a much longer frame. This, I believe, is the frame for an M3 Stuart light tank. Used by the Americans. What you've got going there... It looks like it needs some WD-40.
thanks for all the comments... it has proved useful,... and to all those who want to see a deisel in it and are critisizing cause we didnt use one, its pretty simple logic fellas.... send me the deisel fo your choice and i'll install it.... not like i have a trailer load of big smoke belching deisels available.... i did however have bout 3-454s to chose from.... seemed like a logical choice to me.. and sound quality sux cause the camera used wasnt actually made for video so its mic is junk
@StreetGliderX actually it is wleft of an M5. Post war these thing were sold in the tousands. they were converted into tractor and quite a few were made into drilling rigs
This shit sounds like the best dubstep album of 2014.
Single most blessed beautiful thing I've seen all day!Hat's off!

you guys really know how to have a good time !!!...don't stop !!!
Jury rigging at its finest! Two thumbs up! Great piece of work!
R.I.P Headphone users.
Their town is probably the only one with a well-regulated militia in possession of tanks.
Looks like 4 friends having a ball!. FUN!!!
Complete undiluted badassery.

So awesome! wish i knew you guys, and could come for a visit! ... and a ride!!! :)
Love the sound of that engine.
you restored my faith in America!
i can just imagine the people staring as u mob thru the dunes or trails on that thing :)
"hold my beer" "no, billybob, hold it your damn self!" *red cup appears in video* *applauds*
the once proud stuart tank gets a whole new meaning in life :D...lets see a mitsubishi tank from ww2 suvive the same...
looks cool... makes me wanna make a mini one outta my rider lawn tractor!!
I lost it when I heard the scream at 0:40. This is a cool project, but I'm glad they're not my neighbors.
Looks like tracks from an M5 Stuart tank... nice build!
Oh hell yes! Cant wait to see the photon laser canon installed.....
Take it for a beer run.
we got a job hauling rip raff rocks 600 yards thru a swamp to stop a creek washing out and no dump trucks can travel the swamp, this was our answer
NOTHING LIKE A BUNCH OF ----GOOD OLD BOYS HAVEIG FUN------
This is America, we build monster trucks for fun. Piss us off and see what we build to come after you with! - Comedian Chris Titus
Imagine pulling up to a drive thru in that thing :)
Put an old VW bus cab on it, cool rig would be neat to have one, I might add mufflers though, just to save the eardrums of that guy with headphones on :P
I would buy that. Probably had some other use between then and now.. or maybe a couple different uses. Would make a pretty cool off road machine.
Got big Billy controlling the throttle in the back
hah the lil dog as always thinks it can take on a tank. Nice rig
now that's what you call LOUD!!!!!!
Nice...Bet the neigbours know if you are driving it around...
The neighbors must love you - LMAO! Awesome!
i love staight pipe chevys thak you for understanding my ideas, got a vehicle but no engine? put a chevy in it and hold tight.
Hold ma beer an' watch this...!! Love it, but can't help feeling it should have been a big diesel in that... 'thing'. :-)
Engine sounds good.
I want that thing so much...
That's awesome... I want one
This looks like something you'd see in Newport Tennessee.
needs a bleeping hot tub on top :) you can run the exaust through it to heat it up. keep up the rrednecking
Gotta get those beer holders installed next. At 5:24 I can see a hose or cable or something that hangs down while under throttle and goes back up into the chassis when you let up. Hope you have guards over that drive train inside where you sat.
that was my entenion to watch the dog to get flatten
Some crazy Dubstep
When the video started I thought it was dubstep playing lol
Now, add armor a good cannon and go for a beer run!
Bad assed. Now get a recliner off Craigslist for a driver's seat and a couch for the passengers and head off to the mud bog.
"Let's try high gear!"
OH NO! It's the Red Army!
That's how you party. Except I'd be standing on top of it in a trench coat with a medieval sword in my hand held victoriously in the air.
"Drive me closer, I want to hit them with my sword!"
im never surprised anymore

Red solo cup! I lift you up, let's have a party!
damn that looks like fun
@landonbaytown must have missed the ALL TERRAIN part. dump trucks are pretty good at getting stuck on muddy surfaces, this would certainly solve that.
hahaha awesome... Or maybe put a RV body on it, then you could really go RVing. hahaha
Awesome noise!!
Obama and his green crusade, what a joke. We need more innovators like these guys! Be sure to check out all three of their videos.
Guys, I can't wait to see your next project.
That's pretty funny... and clever. Hope you put some mufflers on it... poor doggie's ears.
Actually looks like a nice hetzer.
Good video
lol, seems like it needs some new track brakes!

皆で乗って楽しそうですね♪
オイラも仲間に入れて欲しいです♪
Definitely M4 based. Judging by the track it must have been an M4 High Speed Tractor.
yeah i know..but great job to get it running , it looks like the bottom of a sherman i could be wrong..anyway i still think its kool as hell...well done guys.!!
The Germans could hear those things coming from miles away.
the dog can't believe his eyes.
Is that an Australian Shepard? Fitting dog for that Mad Maxian vehicle! For all you Eurotrash, a 454 is over 7 liters. Love that V-8 grumble.
That's a Heeler. Great dogs for herding. Very popular breed in Tennessee.
***** Blue Heeler, and Australian Shepherd are the same breed. Or so I've heard, at least.
nice blue healer
6:20 the beast is after that dog lol
Shoots beer and surface to air mini shots of JD.
rip headphone users
jolly good fun!
I LIKE IT!
Indeed it is. I wonder where these people acquired such a thing.
I WANT ONE NOW!!!! =)
that pretty much kicks ass!! :D

it is a stuart tank
@StreetGliderX actually it is wleft of an M5. Post war these thing were sold in the tousands. they were converted into tractor and quite a few were made into drilling rigs
m3 stuart chassis!
I want one.
its actually a wood tiger drilling rig originally but very very similar to the m5
I love it
that is LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome. You can charge people to ride on it to help pay for gas. Do you have an update video of the completed truck?
Put an old outhouse shack as a cab.
Throw a K5 body on there, and you're all set.
Cool, I see the vid link now for the update.
good if you ever have to move your trailer
that looks like the suspension from a stuart light tank
now this is how to trow a rod.....and my speakers
Hell I'd put a 5.9 or 6.7 cummins in that thing before I even think about about a Chevy.
Howtdiggitydamn. that is cool
thats awsome
yeah their good for allsorts of random jobs
