    1. Spydiechef - my most recent spydie and the one I delayed buying as I wasn’t in love with the looks. In hand it’s tight, smooth, great ergos and at half the price of a sebbie - it’s a steal. It’s the one knife above all others I’d recommend to a non knife bro who wanted one decent knife.
    2. Gayle Bradley 2 - I love this knife it’s a slicing beast and it’s a big boy. The weaker detent does not bother me as well as the lack of access to the liner lock.
    3. Smock - what more to say; cool, unusual with versatile opening options and the button lock.
    4. Paramilitary 3 LW - light, easy to carry and makes more sense than the G10 version (for me).
    5. Native 5 - pure simple back lock. No frills and epitomises a pocket knife.
To buy - Canis, Kapara, Manix 2

I use Flitz ceramic sealant (never tried EDCI). You should give it a try. I think it's a bit more expensive than EDCI but it also totally rustproofs knives by coating the blade with a ceramic shell. The shell is slick, improving slicyness and it resists grease and grime making the blade easier to clean.

The Maxamet PM2 was my first Spyderco which I bought late last year, since then the collection has grown a bit. They have some excellent designs & high end steel offerings that nobody else is really doing.

I think most of us agree that Spyderco knives just don't fit the look we grew up with as a "pocket knife". They are weird looking! But once you have one in hand, and use the full flat grind blades, you realize what great tools they really are. Spyderco's best assets are Spydy Holes, Spydy flickability and the Compression Lock, imo . They should use them for every model. Make other variants as well perhaps, but these should be all over their product range.
