+Alfredo Di Stéfano Laulhé Yep. I remember watching that Sixers Lakers final series. It was plainly evident that Kareem (as good as he was) was completely overmatched by Malone. You could see in Kareem's eyes that he wanted no part of Moses.

Moses, like Larry, a real man. Just went out and gave his all and didn't concern himself with glib comments or B.S. Took (and gave) a licking and kept on ticking.
this dude gets all my respect being on of him best rebounders and scorers of all time. at the same time its good to see dirk moving up the scoring list
What really blows my mind is that theMoses Malone led Sixers SWEPT the Lakers 4-0 in 1983. Think about it. Magic, Kareem, Worthy led Lakers, couldn't even get a single game! THAT IS IMPRESSIVE!
+Pat Capp That's how good he was. But don't forget, before he got to Philly, he took VERY ordinary (at best) Houston Rocket teams to a finals. At Philly, with Toney, Cheeks, Dr J, the burden was shared. And a winner!
Worthy didn't play or the Lakers probably win at least 1 game and it's a more competitive series. But no one was stopping the Sixers that year.

Growing up, Moses was somehow able to play against guys in prison (although he wasn't in residence). He said the cats he played against in prison were better than what he faced in the NBA.

We can all take inspiration from moses' story. He's got a lot of deficiencies in his game coz he didn't have proer training when he was really young learning the game.he didn't wallow in self-pity & focused on training hard with whatever he had, & managed to somehow make a career(didn't matter if it was the nba or wherever) out of it. Many talented people are not even as fortunate to play as pros(whatever the reason),moses managed to have a long & fruitful career. That's not easy,it takes a lot of doing. We can all learn something from it.

For the modern-day, entitled, unappreciated, immature and miseducated plantation commodities masquerading as big time professional NBA PLAYERS today, Moses Malone would embarrass you, your team and clearly tear your head off when it came to rebounding and strong post play. A Man that was capable of separating domination from finesse for multiple years against the best of all time. Moses Malone does not get enough credit by the so-called media mouth pieces who truly are biased. A Man among Boys.

Julius is absolutely right. With Moses, they definitely had an advantage at center. Only LA, with Kareem, didn't have a HUGE disadvantage.
