    Translation with Google Translate!
    Hi Emily and Sean,
I'm Rolf, a motorcyclist from Germany and have been to Scotland twice on my motorbike.
First of all I would like to say that this is a great travel report about motorcycling in Scotland!
I really enjoyed watching your travel videos and remembered those beautiful moments when I was there too.
I recognized many of your routes, places and also some of your accommodations.
The NC 500 is one of the most beautiful tours you can do in Scotland, in combination with the old military road it is an absolute highlight!!!
Driving on the lonely single track roads, without traffic, through this beautiful landscape simply slows you down.
The Bealach na Ba is exciting to drive, I drove it in thick fog (about 10 meters visibility) and also in sunshine and I thought both were great.
Unfortunately I didn't drive the Duke Pass but your pictures were fantastic, maybe next time.
For me, Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever ridden through on a motorbike (even in the rain). This landscape, the truly great hospitality, the pride of the Scots and the myth that surrounds this country is unbelievable!
If you are there in good weather, you will see all of Scotland's beauty.
Your videos, the comments and the drone footage reflect all of this, thank you for that!
Thank you also for all the work you put into editing.
One of my dreams is to go on another tour in Scotland and your travel report has encouraged me to do it again.
    Best wishes,
    Rolf from Germany

Hi Rolf, thank you so much for your kind words! It’s amazing to hear that our videos brought back memories of your own rides through Scotland. It really is a magical place for motorcycling, and I totally agree that the NC500 and the old military road are highlights. The Bealach na Ba sounds like quite the adventure, especially in fog! I’m glad the videos resonated with you, and I can’t recommend enough that you get back to Scotland for another tour-there’s always something new to discover.
Thanks again for your support, and happy riding on your future Scottish adventures!

Make sure to head down through the Yorkshire Dales where you'll find some of the best roads in the country. A684 is a must. Plenty to see and do too. Bolton Castle is brilliant and has a tea room and ice cream shop. Leyburn and Bedale are beautiful villages. There is Malham cove, Hardraw force, Aysgarth falls (Robin Hood prince of theives). Buttertubs pass. Too many things to mention.

If the weather was better you might have enjoyed a walk up one of the small hills at Balmoral Castle to see the Prince Albert Pyramid which Queen Victoria had built for her husband. It can be seen from the road from the other car park entrance. Plus you can see the castle from a higher elevation if you do the cairns walk as the starting point is from the car park you stopped in.

Hi Thomas, it all depends on what climates you mostly ride in. The world traveler without the outer layer on is a totally vented suit. If you are riding mostly in conditions where it rains on and off and the temperature doesn't get above 25 then the rambler is the better choice. If however you are mostly riding in hot dry conditions and don't mid stopping to put on the waterproof layer then the world traveler is the one for you. The ventilation on the world traveler is amazing!
Really glad you enjoy the videos and we hope you enjoy the rest of the series 😎👍

With a T shirt on i would say around 15-20 is still comfortable, maybe a merino layer getting to 15. Below 15 it's probably time to put the outer layer on or have a heated vest on. Below 10 both layers for sure. Have ridden in 35 degrees heat with this suit on and still been comfortable.

Hi guys, can i ask you some questions about the bike?
    1) With the passenger on and the suspensions on Auto don't you get pushed a bit more into the tank? (i used to have the stock seat on low/rear and high/front to compensate but then had to switch to a Wunderlich one to solve the problem)
    2) Do the grip puppies get wet when it rains? I would like to buy them but i'm afraid they could do like a "wet sponge effect"...
    3) What kind of benefits did you find with the bar raisers? I'm 6'2" and thiking about it too.
Thanks and safe travel guys! :D

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  Месяц назад +1

      Hi, yeah no worries 😉
      1) yeah so times have a similar issue, especially under hard braking lol. Have also done the same with the seat although I don’t like having it too low. Thinking those nine slip nets might be the answer.
      2) never actually thought about that so it mustn’t be an issue, I got them to limit the wear on the Oem grips. They do reduce the heating of the grips however they make long rides a lot more comfortable. They were only €10 from a shop in Germany so I thought I would give them a go -I like them.
      3) initially I put them on to make standing easier, I have the 45mm ones from Touratech and they do make a difference. An added benefit is I find then more comfortable on longer rides (have no idea why lol) -guess it helps add more bend to the arm 🤔. Had them on the last R1200 so put them straight on the R1250.
I’m also 6’2’’ and I personally think they are well worth it. Also 45mm is the max you can add without having to play with the cables -but more that the screen will conflict a bit on full lock when the screen is at its highest setting.
      😎👍🏻

    • @argalord
      @argalord Месяц назад +1

I've never tried nets but i heard they work fine, the Wunderlich heated seat is very expensive but actually solved the problem 100% (as of Wunderlich/Touratech tradition it is way firmer than the stock one so also the standard height one will keep you a couple cm higher).
I think i'll a give a try at the risers then, maybe it will solve the upper back/neck muscle pain i sometimes have!
Thanks again for the very kind answers, maybe one day we'll meet on the road! :D

Yeah that’s for the semi private tour of the castle interior. Pretty steep but I guess they don’t want the masses traipsing through ones living room 😁

Incredible tour, from start to finish. To the less cynical keyboard padawans out there, most of us will not get to see where we think we live... be thankful.
Thanks Sean, thanks Emily, the historical value of your footage will prove invaluable for many in years to come 🍹🍹
