What an absolutely wonderful performance! Historically informed without sounding "academic." I can't believe at this time in history that there are still people listening to Bach and Baroque Music played on modern instruments and symphony orchestras. This is perfect!!! Thank you very much for posting all of these videos with Herr Harnoncourt!
Der Alte: I allow me to recommend to you the 1965 version recorded by Ars Redivida Ensemble of Prague, conducted by Milan Munclinger, with his wife, Viktorie Shvilíkova, at the harpsichord in the 5th concertó, and Maurice André in the 2nd. Its tempo is moderate (but not boring), and far away from the "fast and furious" tempo that is the (for me) very regrettable fashion into the baroque ensembles of the last 3 decades.
I never get bored or tired listening to all 6 Brandenburg conciertos. Thanks to Bach and Bach supporters who keep these music perpetually alive.
One of the best recordings ever from the Brandenburg concertos! Tachezi is a master!
Marvelous harpsichordist.
The tempo is exquisite.

Richter's version is faster, but this "slower" here is good also.
