    Wow, great video! I’m pretty sure that when I attended the BMW M Track Days event at COTA in 2022 that John Edwards was the professional driver at the full-day event, and he took us for a hot lap around COTA. Great guy, and a great story with his career.

      he might have been. I've seen John at plenty of events before. Really nice guy, I've always liked him. Glad you enjoyed the video, hopefully more views since these type of videos are so rare.

      @@bmwblog Yes, your team does a great job of putting together these excellent videos!
      BTW, good thing you didn’t lose your breakfast in that racecar. The in-car camera view while he was warming up the tires was showing you getting tossed around, side to side, a LOT more than John was. I think your harness belts were not tight enough!

      I appreciate it. We try. They are not always hits with everyone, but we still wanna do great videos. John had a HANS device also, but it's also possible my harness so a bit more loose.

      Here, but they belong to BMW USA so not sure what the use terms are. I would credit Sam Cobb for them www.bmwblog.com/2024/02/01/riding-shotgun-with-daytona-24-winner-bmw-z4-gtlm/

    200mph? Are you sure about that? I measured times compared to the Z4 GTE at the 24 hour race. This car is indeed faster, but not that much.

      @bmwblog  7 месяцев назад +1

      I rounded it up. It was a bit slower. I think between 180 to 190

    Yes the Z4 can reach 321,8 kmh

      It was a bit lower honestly, but I rounded it up.

    Your seatbelts aren't tight enough...even as a passenger you shouldn't be moving around at slow speed like that...

    • @bmwblog
      @bmwblog  7 месяцев назад

      They were def tight. Couldn't do more than that. John had a HANS device, I didn't

    • @bmwblog
      @bmwblog  7 месяцев назад

      And there was no slow speed honestly
