China is super safe. I don’t lock my car most times when I park no matter what’s inside. It’s not about the cameras, it’s just not normal to take anything. China also has e-bike rentals in small towns and they come with bike helmets that aren’t locked, just left in the basket. None of them will go missing

all consoles in china are region lock meaning they are lock behind regions hence the games china gamers can play on them are limited. they had to get international version by travel out of china to get it orbuy from someone that smuggle in the international version to get access to more games digitally by accessing international internet. another thing is online gaming for consoles are lock behind a paywall, international version require u to have a international bank card like visa or master to be able to pay for subscription and even they pay for subscription they also need to pay for vpn to be able to play outside of china. all games that can be played in china are screen heavily too there for limited and hard to access to games lead it to be not a popular choices.

Rarely I see a locked helmet. So many unlocked helmets in the streets that the chance of being taken away is quite rare.
