"They say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time." May Kentaro's second death never come.
This man marked many generations with his opera prima since the late 80 to this day and invited us into an incredible journey where we experienced life and death and everything between these two points. Thank you Kentaro Miura for giving something to look up to, Guts, as one model of person that made living through the troubles of everyday possible for many of us R.I.P
Kentaro gave us the roadmap to struggle properly: 1- Forge meaningful friendships rooted in reciprocity. 2 - Be willing to learn from capable allies. 3 - Be willing to teach to those who would truly listen. 4 - Confront evil fearlessly, within yourself and others. 5 - Carry a big fuckin Sword.
I woke up to this news and wished I was still dreaming. Sadly, though, I was not. I've been reading Berserk for 15 years now, it's accompanied me for more than half my life and shaped it quite much. It's heartbreaking to see such a talented artist suffer such a premature death. He definitely massacred himself with work, sleeping very little, taking close to no pauses during his earliest career. He went from an extreme, this one, to another, the year-long hiatuses (and they were fairly understandable). All that stress probably caused his death. I believe that Berserk's greatest lessons have been taught already: we humans are capable of bearing immense burdens and keep struggling on. Berserk is not just dark fantasy and horror: it's a tragedy, and a cathartic one. We, as readers, tossed our expectations onto Miura-san, "like a bonfire of dreams". Now the tragedy is onto us, and it's our time to band together and struggle. Miura's legacy will live on forever
@facts overmarxism misinformation? I'm a medic, a neurologist to be more precise, and I know my good share of cardiology. Are you one too? I could keep this argument going for ages, given my knowledge on the subject, but I'd rather have you admit "I'm the average man who Googles about medical stuff" and cut it short there out of respect for this comment section.
@facts overmarxism ROFL. You're the average "I ask Google for medical stuff" jerk who understands nothing of what he reads (you can't even write properly and/or take the time needed to fix your mistakes, so... that tells a lot already). You're so uneducated you even posted an article about the complications of acute aortic dissection that said nothing about its causes (thus didn't help you at all in proving the stupid point you're trying to make). From a quick Google search I did for you (let me translate the results in a language understable by a brainless guy like you): the main causes of ACUTE aortic dissection are atherosclerosis, hypertension, aortic aneurysms, aortic inflammation, congenital anomalies, acquired valvular pathologies. Surprise surprise: most of those are CHRONIC pathologies. One doesn't develop atherosclerosis overnight nor gets an acute aortic dissection because of a sudden hypertension spike (if that's not something that happens chronically). To believe an acute aortic dissection is totally unrelated to any other pre-existing illnesses is utterly ridiculous. Miura's assistant talked about his recent years. Miura himself talked horribly about the years before that. Surprise surprise pt2: not all damage you do to your body magically vanishes once you halt the cause of damage. Some stays with you forever and may well cause your death when you least expect it. Miura's assistant says he was on a strict diet and used to exercise? That tells me nothing. Miura was worried about his health conditions and might well have been on a diet and exercising in order to prevent them becoming worse. P.S. I get nothing for the likes I receive on comments. I'm not advertising my services: it's not like I'd tell you my number, not even the nationality. I wouldn't even have said I'm a neurologist hadn't you started pretending you knew anything about cardiology-angiology (for your information, we neurologists know quite much about it because, have you ever heard about cerebrovascular diseases...?).
@facts overmarxism It really doesn't, what they are saying is true. You are wrong and also an ass for trying to start an argument over something like this right now. Please re-evaluate what you say and if it is worth it.

Respect for the legend
Rest in peace Miura
RIP Miura ur work is one of the best in the world may u have the rest u needed
Your legacy was still live on in our hearts.
This OST always gets me.
For those who bashed the man for hiatus. Deserve to feel ashamed
I still can't believe he's dead, I'm literally waiting for someone to tell me this is the biggest prank of all time or something 😞😞😞
This no prank, it's real
we all gotta go sometime
R. I. P sensei
Thank you for this
